"PREGNANT???!!"
Rubi and our mother both stared at me with their eyes wide open and their mouths wide open. I was as surprised as they were. I can't believe I'm pregnant and have no idea who my child's father could be. I'm not sure if I should tell Manny or Trevante. They might all freak out as well. I don't think I need to have a child right now. This is an unusual way to commemorate my birthday.
"Yes, Ms.White, you are two weeks pregnant. Here is all of your documentation that explains everything. Please contact me if you have any further questions." The doctor said.
My mother quickly grabbed the paper and scanned it. "Oh my goodness. I'm having a grandchild."
Rubi gave a shake of her head. "Damn, who's the father?"
I quickly punched Rubi on the shoulder and returned my gaze to the doctor. "I appreciate you informing me about my pregnancy. I think I'm finally ready to go home."
The doctor gave a nod. "Let me get your discharged papers ready and you will be good to go. Please be gentle with yourself and take good care of your baby."
I agreed by nodding. We all looked at each other after the doctor left.
"When are you going to tell Manny you're pregnant? I'm sure he'll be delighted." With a smile, my mother said.
I let out a sigh. "I'm not sure yet. I'll need some time to consider that."
Rubi burst out laughing. "It's crazy because I thought I'd be the first to get pregnant."
I rolled my eyes. "Exactly, but noooo look at me."
To comfort me, my mother ran her fingers through my hair. "Well, you're pregnant now, and there's nothing you can do about it now. We will do everything we can to assist in raising this child. I might have to take some time off work to assist you."
My head shook. "I appreciate it, momma, but you don't have to take time off work just yet. I know how to take care of myself, and I'm confident Rubi and Manny will assist me."
My mother gave me a sad expression. "Ok, but please call me and let me know if you require my assistance. I will gladly take the day off from work."
I agreed by nodding. The doctor returned and handed me my discharge papers. The doctor also disconnected me from the machine. Before leaving the room, the doctor double-checked that I was fine. We quickly left and dropped my mother off at her hotel. I'm glad she got a hotel room because I don't want her to see Miguel. She'll go insane if she does. After that, it took us a while to get home. I noticed Manny's G Wagon parked in the driveway after we got home. My Jeep isn't parked in the driveway. Trevante most likely drove it to his crib.
Rubi turned off the car and looked at me. "Are you going to tell him you're possibly pregnant with his child?"
I let out a sigh. "I'm not sure. But what if it's not his? What if it's Trevante baby?"
Rubi sighed as well. "Then we should start planning your funeral because he's going to kill you and Trevante."
I sighed and rolled my eyes. I'll probably wait until the right time comes to tell him about the pregnancy. Rubi and I exited the car and entered the house. On the couch sat Spooky, Manny, and Miguel. They appear to be having a full conversation. They looked up as soon as they heard the door close. I was about to go upstairs when Spooky approached and hugged me.

Spooky hugged me tight. "Damn you scared the shit out of me earlier. I'm glad your ass is still alive, sis."
I returned his hug with a smile. "I really appreciated it Spooky. I'm glad to be alive as well."
Miguel came up behind me and hugged me as well. "I'm glad you're still alive too. You were vomiting like that freaky bitch from Scary Movie 2."
Miguel got a sneer from me as I rolled my eyes. Manny approached me and gently rubbed my cheek with his thumb after Miguel gave me a hug.
"How you feeling mama?"
I forced a hard swallow. "I'm in good health. Just a tiny bit foggy headed."
Manny picked me up in bridal manner. "Lemme take you upstairs. Mama, I don't want you to fall and hurt yourself."
As he carried me to my room, I wrapped my arms around his neck. He approached the bed slowly as we entered the room and gently laid me down.
"Do you want me to get you something to drink or eat? I'm sure yo ass hungry after throwing up like that."
I grinned slightly. "Nah, I'm fine. You don't have to get me anything."
Manny sucked his teeth. "Man, girl, stop that lying shit. You know you'd like me to go downstairs and get you sum. What exactly is it?"
I rolled my eyes amusingly. "All right, get me a Canada Dry and some graham crackers."
He gave me a gentle lip kiss while nodding. "Okay, stay alive till I get back."
I laughed. "Boy please hush."
Manny had left the room. I really want to tell him I'm pregnant, but I'm not sure how he'll react, and I also want to tell Trevante. It's possible that the baby is his. I pulled out my phone and texted Trevante.
Later on, I have to tell you something that's very important.
Text at 8:23pm
Ok, that's coo. But are you straight princess? You had ah nigga worried?
Text at 8:24pm
Yes, I'm fine. Thank you for checking. But I'll talk to you as soon as I finish resting.
Text at 8:26pm
A'ight bet, you welcome baby girl. I love you..
Text at 8:28pm
Manny walked into the room with my Graham crackers and Canada Dry before I could even respond back to Trevante. I put my phone down and smiled as he handed me my stuff. He kissed me on the forehead.
"Go ahead and consume. Your energy is required. I need your assistance with sum."
My entire smile vanished. Is Manny being for real? When I had just left the hospital, did he really expect me to go and help him out? He can't be serious, and considering I'm pregnant, I don't want to take any chances. No matter how angry he gets, I'm not doing it.
"Manny I literally just left the hospital. Do you really want me to go out and do something for you?"
He let out a sigh and showed me a picture of a dark skinned man. "I just need you to drop off some drugs to this guy name Franklin Saint, baby. He's offering me 100 grand."
💕
I began to think to myself. I can use my pregnancy to get out of these dangerous missions Manny continues to put me in. I can't believe he wants me to sell drugs for him after I've been released from the hospital. He gots to be ill in the head.
I started rubbing my stomach. "Manny I understand that the man is offering you $100,000, but I simply cannot do so tonight. I'm feeling sick again, and I'm becoming increasingly dizzy."

Manny gave me a serious face. "So you wouldn't like to assist me in obtaining $100k? Would you prefer I lose my money?"
I gave Manny a the fuck face look as I turned to face him. "What the fuck are you talking about, Manny? I don't feel good at all. You can either do it yourself or have Miguel or Spooky do it for you. You only care about your drug company, as I can see. You don't even give a damn about me or my health. That's why I'm start fucking with Trevante again."
Manny glared at me with a furious expression. He struck the wall and came quite near to hitting my head. "And that's the day I'll kill you and him. Repeat that shit again. I dare you to. How the fuck do you sound? You would rather be with a bitch ass cheater? You sound bout slow as fuck. You want me to flip yo ass upside down."
I didn't even speak to Manny. I just kept quiet because I know what would happen if I said anything else. The situation is only going to deteriorate further. He smirked at me, but it wasn't a good smirk.
Manny jumped up in my face. "Ah, you're silent now. Talk yo shit. Yo ass was talking that big girl shit, and now you want to stop."
I shoved my hand in Manny's face. "Manny, just get out of my face. This is not something I have time for."
Manny locked his gaze on me, staring deep into my soul. "Are you still fucking him?"
I shook my head and rolled my eyes. "Not at all. Please get out of my face."
Manny kept staring into my eyes. "Cause if you ever give that bitch my pussy, I will bury both of you right by each other. You understand me, huh?"
I agreed by nodding. He straightened up and continued to stare at me. "Take yo ass to bed. I'll be back."
I rolled my eyes and put my head on the pillow. He slammed the door as he left. He genuinely believes that he can constantly manipulate me with his foul personality. I'm glad I didn't go though since I don't want to endanger my child. If Manny is behaving in this manner because I can't do one single drop for him. Imagine if I told him that I was pregnant and wouldn't be able to accomplish the things he wanted me to do until after the baby's born. I don't think telling him is the wisest course of action.
———————————————————————————
Since I was unable to sleep. I made the decision to visit Trevante's residence, sit him down, and inform him about my pregnancy. I stood up and dressed in a matching hoodie and sweatpants. I grabbed my keys, put on my Yeezys, and went downstairs. I observe that nobody was there in either the living room or the kitchen. I'm relieved because I didn't want anyone to inquire about my whereabouts.
I drove to Trevante's place after leaving and getting in my car. After a little while, I arrived to Trevante's residence. That's excellent because I saw his car parked in the driveway. And I noticed my lovely Jeep parked next to his.
I parked my car and proceeded to the Trevante door. I knocked on the door a few times, waiting for him to respond. It only took him a second to answer the door.
He was wearing a durag and no shirt when he approached the door. His gleaming chocolate skin was on display, and he was dressed in sweatpants. He got me thinking about the nasty things I want to do to him. He stepped to the side and allowed me to enter.
He closed the door as I sat on his couch, getting settled.
"You want me to fix you something to eat baby girl? I just got done cooking and shit."
Trevante got a side eye from me. "Uh uh, who are you preparing food for? Do you have anyone coming over here?"
Trevante laughed. "Man, hell nah. But I was waiting for yo pretty ass though."
I laughed. "Mhm, what you cook? I might like some."
Trevante walked into the kitchen and began preparing a plate for me. "I cooked some barbecue beef ribs, rice, and collard greens. Nothing major. Just lil sum."
I moaned. "That sounds lovely. It better taste good as hell too."
Trevante laughed. "Girl, my shit be bussing on my momma."
Trevante handed me a plate, and I started eating right away. I couldn't stop myself because I was so hungry. The food was excellent. I had no idea he could cook this well.
Trevante smirked at me. "Mhm, my shit good ain't it?"
I chewed more slowly and covered my mouth. "It's a'ight nigga. It's not all that."
Trevante burst out laughing. "I can tell that nigga Manny isn't cooking for you like he should. But I like how you were tearing my shit up though. Do you want something to drink?"
I finished my last bite of food and placed my plate on the table. "Boy shut up and yeah, fix me whatever juice you have."
He stood up and quickly made me something to drink. "So, what did you have to say to me that's so important?"
He walked over to me, handed me my cup, and sat down. I sighed deeply. "I'm not sure how to tell you this."
Trevante gave me a nervous look. "You can talk to ah nigga about anything, baby. What's up?"
I took another deep breath and sipped from my cup. "I went to the doctor, and everything was fine. My kidneys and vital signs were all normal."
Trevante gave me a perplexed expression. "Okay, that's great, and I'm glad to hear that, but is that all you have to say to me?"
I gave Trevante a long, hard look. "Trevante, I'm pregnant."
Trevante's eyes had widened in surprise. "Are you sure? Do you think the baby could be mine?"
I started looking down at my feet. "I'm not certain. We'll just have to see."
In frustration, Trevante rubbed his face. "Did you tell that bitch ass nigga Manny too?
I gave a headshake. "No, I haven't yet told him. I doubt he would be content. I'm afraid that if I tell him about the baby, he'll be upset because I won't be able to help him make money."
Trevante sucked his bottom lip. "Aye man, fuck that nigga, he doesn't have to be happy about the baby, but just know I am. I hope the baby is mine. I'll make sure the baby is good, and I'll also make sure you're good."
There was a knock on the door before I could say anything. I looked over at Trevante, puzzled because he said he didn't have anyone coming over.
I motioned to the door. "Who's there at the door? I thought you wasn't expecting no one else?"
Trevante appeared perplexed as well. "No, I wasn't. Let me check to see who's at the door."
Trevante took his Glock from the table and clutched it close to him. When he opened the door, he immediately put the gun down, and his entire face expression changed to what the fuck. So I stood up to see who was standing at the door.
"Why are you looking like that? Who's there at the door?"
When I looked outside the door, I saw Alexis. I can't believe he invited her here. I just want to slap them both.
Alexis started fiddling with her fingers. "I've got to tell you something, Tre."
Bruh wtf

Getting Hard (Journey of a Tank)
Herald Stone always built tank characters in every MMORPG he played. To be immortal—that was his first Goal, a simple childhood dream. However, the turbulent realities of life put an end to his gaming days. Years passed, and Herald Stone, now having attained success and stability, was presented with the opportunity to redeem himself...to fulfill his first Goal. Trivial? Childish? Others might think so. But Herald Stone always fulfilled his Goals—every single one. No matter what. Immortality beckoned in Mother Core Online, and this time Herald Stone would answer. Choosing a long-forgotten race, hidden away in an unknown region, the journey of an immortal tank begins. This is the tale of Herald Stone...getting hard. Schedule: Mon-Wed-Fri ~1.8k-2.3k words per chapter. Also published on Scribblehub. My other ongoing story: REND | Royal Road Expect a focus on building a true tank in MMORPGs. Heavy game elements and numbers are present. But actual math will take a backseat to strategies involving skill builds and synergies that steadily become more complex while remaining understandable. The main character is atypical in LitRPGs or web novels as a whole. He might take some getting used to. Character arcs will develop over a long period. What you see now will be different as the main character changes. The start of Getting Hard is slow-paced (more so than others of the genre) and includes world-building and character development before focusing on the LitRPG.
