Aros the War God

Aros, you wouldn't have thought it when you met him, when he was born,

But that path, it extends outwards,

The treasure waiting there, glorious,

Aros, you wouldn’t have thought it,

That gentle smile,

Was he innocent?

Oh, Aros, that gentle smile,

Hiding underneath,

A sword.

Why is he here?

He comes in with his fresh and open views,

Then just leaves,

Like he shows us a hint,

Then he gets too lazy!

He never does the whole dance.

He knows he has no credentials here,

He has no authority,

And he settles!

He knows he could find work,

Pick it out from the world tree,

But—

The thing is the value changes,

As he gets closer,

Close enough to look,

But improper to touch,

He becomes human.
