"It's my favorite time of the year!", Sapnap sang as he sprinted down the stairs with his bag. Dream and George looked at him from the sofa and said their goodbyes when he ran outside to his car.
It was freezing cold outside and he was on his way to pick up Karl. They had decided, until they would find the perfect house to move in together they would spend two months a year in a shack somewhere in the woods, to celebrate christmas together and to find peace and quiet from the usually busy work schedule.
He drove the way to North Carolina, where he picked up Karl. The brunette ran out of the house and hugged him tightly.
"It's the best time of the year", he said with a wide smile, before Sapnap kissed him.
"I can't wait, just you and me.", Sapnap said softly, "Cuddling in front of the fire place. That's all I need"
Karl smiled and kissed his cheek. "I love you"
"I love you too, darling", Sapnap said, with a fond smile, before finally pulling him towards the car, "And now let's go, I'm so excited"
A few more hours past and finally they arrived at their little home for the coming months. It felt like a real home, knowing all the memories they had made here and how many more were to join them.
Sapnap sat down on the sofa in front of the fire place and sighed. "The drive is so worth it" "We're home, honey", Karl said and cuddled up with him, kissing his cheek.
"You're right, we're home", Sapnap mumbled, exhausted and happy, with Karl in his arms and love in his heart.
He pulled Karl to the spot between him and the the backrest of the sofa, kissed his head and smiled. "How about we just buy this house, instead of renting it every year?", he then asked, "It's big enough for when we have a kid someday too and think of all the memories we already have here"

"I thought about it before and I would really like that. But I don't know if I want anyone else in here. You know? This is our place and I don't know if I would want our friends to come here for visits.", Karl said and Sapnap nodded. "That's true, I haven't thought about that, I don't want that either." "How about we buy it and just come here every month? Just a week each month and then two months in the winter.", Karl suggested and Sapnap chuckled. "You know I'd do anything to see you more, I'm in", he said and Karl smiled.
"So we're buying the house?" "Yeah, sure"
Karl giggled and kissed him. "I love you"
"I love you too, my darling"
They kissed again, gently and softly, before Sapnap pulled Karl against his chest.
"And now we sleep", he said and Karl chuckled. "Yes, I like that plan", he replied and closed his eyes. But when he was asleep, Sapnap pressed a gentle kiss to his head and stood up, careful not to wake him up. Quickly he covered him with a blanket and went into the kitchen. He was tired after driving all day, but that didn't mean he couldn't surprise Karl with dinner.
The plan was pizza, so nothing too complicated, but it was enough for them.
He also decided on popping open a bottle of wine for them and eventually he plated everything, when Karl walked into the kitchen with a sleepy expression.
"You look so adorable", Sapnap said and hugged him when Karl walked up to him.
"And you are so adorable, you made dinner?" "Yeah, I thought you would like that", he replied and smiled at Karls happy expression. "I do", Karl said softly and kissed his cheek, "I'm so in love with you, you don't even know"

Getting Hard (Journey of a Tank)
Herald Stone always built tank characters in every MMORPG he played. To be immortal—that was his first Goal, a simple childhood dream. However, the turbulent realities of life put an end to his gaming days. Years passed, and Herald Stone, now having attained success and stability, was presented with the opportunity to redeem himself...to fulfill his first Goal. Trivial? Childish? Others might think so. But Herald Stone always fulfilled his Goals—every single one. No matter what. Immortality beckoned in Mother Core Online, and this time Herald Stone would answer. Choosing a long-forgotten race, hidden away in an unknown region, the journey of an immortal tank begins. This is the tale of Herald Stone...getting hard. Schedule: Mon-Wed-Fri ~1.8k-2.3k words per chapter. Also published on Scribblehub. My other ongoing story: REND | Royal Road Expect a focus on building a true tank in MMORPGs. Heavy game elements and numbers are present. But actual math will take a backseat to strategies involving skill builds and synergies that steadily become more complex while remaining understandable. The main character is atypical in LitRPGs or web novels as a whole. He might take some getting used to. Character arcs will develop over a long period. What you see now will be different as the main character changes. The start of Getting Hard is slow-paced (more so than others of the genre) and includes world-building and character development before focusing on the LitRPG.
