《Pokémon : An Unexpected Journey》Team rocket's pokemon scheme

Green slowly opened her eyes and took in her surroundings. The bright light made her squint, but as her eyes adjusted, she realized she was in a large open space that resembled a football stadium. There were about 80 or so people scattered around, some standing and some lying down. As she tried to gather her thoughts, she saw Austin on the ground, his eyes closed.
"Austin?" she called out, but there was no response. She walked over to him and noticed that he was touching the ground with his eyes closed.
"Are you okay?" she asked, worriedly.
"I'm fine," he replied, his eyes still closed. "Aura is with me."
Green didn't understand what he meant but decided not to press further. Instead, she looked around and realized that they were not in the main Team Rocket base. She let out a sigh of relief, but her relief was short-lived as she realized that the place looked exactly like the Masked Man's trials.
"This looks exactly like that bastard's place," she whispered to herself.
Austin heard her but didn't say anything. He knew what she was referring to, and he didn't want to trigger any memories that would bring her pain.
As they waited, Green tried to get in touch with the other recruits to gather some information, but she found that everyone was being guarded and not saying much.
About ten minutes later, members of Team Rocket wearing black uniforms with giant R symbols on the front emerged from the gate. They rudely expelled people on the edge of the room and then arranged the recruits in a very orderly manner. A few seconds later, a beautiful blonde woman in a Team Rocket Admin uniform stepped out of the entrance.
"Welcome, everyone. My name is Lisa. I am the instructor of your group of recruits. I hope you can all listen to me. I will never say it a second time. Bring me the Pokémon," Lisa said in a loud voice.

As soon as she finished speaking, several Team Rocket members brought out a few large suitcases and placed them in the open space in front of the podium. A large number of red and white Pokéballs were neatly arranged, a total of 150.
Green was surprised to see so many Pokémon. "There are only about 100 of us here. Why are there so many more Pokémon than people?" she asked Austin.
"Probably so that everyone can choose their optimal Pokémon without pressure. The test is pretty fair so far," Austin replied.
Green nodded in agreement, but she couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. She watched as the recruits started choosing their Pokémon, and Lisa began explaining the rules of the test. As the test progressed, Green began to feel uneasy. She didn't like the way Lisa was looking at the recruits, almost as if she was sizing them up for something.
Austin noticed her unease and asked, "What's wrong?"
"I don't know. It just feels like something's not right. Lisa's eyes, the way she's looking at us. It's almost like she's waiting for something," Green replied.
Austin looked at Lisa, and he couldn't shake off the feeling that she was up to something. "We need to be careful," he said. "This test might not be as fair as we think."
"I won't talk any more nonsense," Lisa declared, her voice firm and authoritative. "As you have seen it, this is the initial benefit that our Team Rocket gives you Rookies."
She gestured towards the table in the center of the clearing, upon which sat a collection of spherical objects. Each one was adorned with a distinctive red and white design, emblazoned with the iconic "R" emblem of Team Rocket.
"Go, choose one Pokéball out of them," Lisa instructed. "But remember, you cannot release the Pokémon inside. And once you choose, you can't replace it."

The recruits murmured among themselves, their eyes fixated on the colorful orbs before them. Austin and Green, two of the last to step forward, hesitated as they surveyed the dwindling selection of Pokémon.
With a deep breath, Austin approached the table, his eyes scanning the name tags attached to each Pokéball. Rattata, Spearow, Zubat, Koffing, and Ekans.
" Hurry up, you two!" One of the team rockets shouted at Green and Austin who immediately grabbed onto a PokeBall.
Green picked up the PokeBall of a Zubat meanwhile Austin picked up the PokeBall of an Ekans.
"Well, since you all have selected Pokémon, you can release them now and try to conquer them. You have 7 days for this, and the first 10 people to do this will get generous rewards. The faster you are, the better the rewards you will get." said Lisa with a playful expression.
When Lisa was talking, Austin and Green, who was in the crowd, noticed the members of Team Rocket who surrounded them. The faces of these people were humorous, watching the rookies with interest.
Narrowing their eyes, Austin and Green felt something was wrong.
"Rattata, use Tackle."
"Ekans, listen to me. I'm your trainer now."
"Spearow, we'll be friends from now on.
Ok?"
"Koffing, use Tackle."
After hearing the words of Instructor Lisa and the rewards, most of the Team Rocket rookies' faces showed ecstasy.
These people thought that they are smart enough or charismatic enough to impress the Pokémon.
Lisa's words poured oil into the fire.
Feeling a dangerous aura coming from the PokeBall, Austin immediately clasped Green's hand and ran from the sight of the Team Rocket members who released their Pokémon.
Many rookies trusting their gut ran from the Team Rocket roomies.
These Pokémons that came out of the rookie's Pokéball first looked around. The orders from the rookies were ignored by them.
For a time, the scene was pretty embarrassing. Facing this situation, the faces of those rookies who were formerly full of confidence couldn't help but show an expression of embarrassment or surprise.
Austin could feel from their aura that these Pokemon were not normal. If anything he would point out that these Pokemon's aura seemed broken like they had lost their will to live. They weren't living things rather they were machines.
Looking at the crowd of rookies and remembering Lisa's words it clicked in Austin's mind.
The people from their clothing, behavior, and demeanor showed that they were either druggies, homeless or desperate people.
Team rocket recruit such people and gave them abused pokemon so these people could learn how to control weapons. They didn't want people who would love pokemon rather they wanted people who could wield the weapons given to them.

The Dao of Magic
Here I am, sitting on a mountain so far away from civilisation it might as well be the godforsaken arse of the world, about to ascend. Can't wait to leave this crapfest of a planet... Turns out that the higher ups decided that an unaffiliated rogue like me is too big of a risk to let run around free. Seems like this entire cultivation world is a late stage capitalist money making machine for the powers that be in the higher realms, and me stealing the good loot in front of their descendants and sect disciples noses finally pissed them off enough to take action. First, they sent all the sect masters and hidden dao protectors to off me - which failed, obviously. Heh, afterwards they simply bitch slapped me out of their universe though. That is interesting and all, but I just woke up in a valley watching some critters murder each other while trying not to freak out about how bad it smells here.Soo… where the fuck am I? Why is that deer fighting a feathery squirrel? Why am I teaching this baby rabbit saved from a cannibalistic mother how to kick beings in the face with the power of qi?Releases a couple of times a week! Dark Seas Leading Demise
Having awakened within a forest with little to no memories of her past and being left with the sole task of surviving…what will Kaltyr do?-----------------------------------If when you're reading this there are only 49 chapters, then for all intents and purposes it's completed. The first 49 chapters are just a prologue, giving a long (135,000+ words) introduction to the main character, the power system, and how she obtained her powers--all within the forest she awoke within. You will not learn why the novel has its name. There are only 5 characters, 1 of which is the MC and only another of which is recurring for a time.I do have plans for future books of the series, but they aren't getting written for a long time because this was just a side project to practice the basics of storytelling and whatnot. I will instead be working on my real projects. This is a slow story that doesn't pander to the audience, but I hope you enjoy it, nonetheless.

Giantslayer
Synopsis: Alain is a fledgling Giantslayer, enhanced individuals capable of killing deadly giants. But these giants are not big, they are what ancient humans would refer to as mundane animals or beasts. 'The Final Curse' as many humans call it, was a curse that shrunk down the entire human population to the size of small rodents. When the curse first occurred, the majority of the human population was eaten by beasts who are now of towering heights and sizes. But their abandoned gargantuan structures were not built for naught, the remaining humans retreated back into their now giant buildings and rebuild societies and nations inside of them. Follow Alain in his quest to right the wrongs done to his past and hunt down the elusive and mythical Elder Giants, giants capable of intellects and speech. Are they real? Alain certainly insists so despite no one believing him. But perhaps it did not matter, they were real enough to him for what they did to his family. A/N: I'm pretty new to writing creatively so I hope to improve as we move along the story. The prose I use is still fairly simple and 'plain', but I am also new to literature in general so I am hoping to improve my vocabulary as well. It should also come under no surprise that I am a non-native English speaker and writer as well. With that said, I do appreciate constructive feedback. Please don't be overly mean at least. All the chapters are rough drafts that will be edited in the future. The cover is by this user from pixiv: https://www.pixiv.net/en/users/4545042

Little Baron & Big General
A baron in name only, inheriting the title and responsibilities thanks to a tragedy. A general in name only, with no army to lead and command. These two somehow are forced to meet. Will she clean her family's name? Will he finally redeem himself of his mistake? What will the two of them accomplish? ***COMPLETE*** ----------------------------------------- *notice from the author* A very short story, and one that was sitting in my USB for nearly a year and a half, at this point, maybe longer. I wasn't adding anything more to it, so might as well just release it. Learn from the experience, you know? Leave any criticism behind, while I may not be a professional nor plan on becoming one, I still am unfortunately a perfectionist. Oh, and tell me what you liked. So I know what I did well. Can't be thinking all I ever make is terrible stuff, right?
