《My Superhero Fantasy》Gemage part9 Before the storm

Her eyes were opened again. The sun was high in the sky. The radiance of the sun went through the cloud and straight into her eyes. Her brain was not functioning as it should yet. Alpha Fox put her arm above her forehead and squinted her eyes.
She sat up from the ground with the pain in her body immediately appeared.
“I guess you are shot four times,” the man’s voice came from her left, “Don’t worry. The bullets went through nicely. Nothing left behind.”
She looked tiredly at the bandages on her belly, left upper arm, and the one on her right calf. Her gray coat was opened. She touched the belt with her right hand at the back of her head. There was nothing wrong with the belt. The man didn’t see her face. Honestly, she was impressed, especially after what the general did.
“Tireless,” Alpha called him, “Why do you help me?” She knew Tireless wouldn’t fight her now, but she couldn’t understand why.
“You aren’t a bad person,” Tireless sat at the left rear of Alpha against the park wall, “and I guess you’re betrayed by the council, don’t you?” He softly sneered and got his bent right leg straight, lying on the ground. Then, his straight left leg bent up from the ground.
“I thought I…….” Barnala tried to come up with an explanation but kept it in at the end. Her head was down for a while already. She sat with a leg straight, and a leg bent up like Tireless. Her injured arm was laid on her knee.
“Wait……..” her head went up immediately. Ignoring the pain, she stood up as fast as possible, but the pain couldn’t be ignored. It caught her right leg directly after she got up. Her right leg went strengthless that she lurched and almost fell down.

“You fine?” Tireless slowly stood up with his curling right leg lifting him up by sliding past the park wall.
“Not your business,” she still couldn’t trust Tireless after all. He might not be the violent maniac that she thought he was, but a help was only a help. “I can help,” Tireless said without any mood.
“Help? You mean to make me your accomplice,” Barnala staggered forward on the grass ground.
“Teetering and tottering,” Tireless sauntered behind her. His mask hid his every expression.
“Uh……. fuck!” Glorier finally shouted out. “You won’t do this again, and it’s only for my sister!” Alpha turned her head half back with a drop of tears in her eyes.
“The council…….” Glanexeem lay on the operating table with a copper mechanical arm next to him. The arm had three fragments connected by two disc joints and a spherical joint connecting to the mechanic operating table.
“So that is their way. That’s their method. That’s their approach. Alright! Assassination. They are more disgusting than I think. Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! I will tear the guy into pieces!” Gllanexeem swore quietly in his mind on the table.
The extremity of the mechanic arm was three metal fingers positioned at a right triangle’s three vertexes. The fingers bent to the middle and leaned together in order to stick into the gun wound.
“But who was that? That man must be talented, or are all Guardians like that? If all Guardians can do that, then…….”
Xilix moved his eyes toward the direction of that particular room.
“Activate Project MAGE,” Glanexeem uttered weakly from the table. A translucent screen appeared in front of him. The orange screen had a few yellow words on it, “You can’t activate that function during the operation.”

“Who said it? Did I ever set this like this?” Xilix asked himself, but he didn’t manage to answer it like every other question he asked during his past life that no one had answered.
“I will screw them up. I will kill the one who commands him. No! No! No! It isn’t personal! It’s not personal! I am doing it for justice, only for justice, nothing else,” Xilix kept correcting himself a few more times silently. He sat up as the last bullet got pulled out from his body. A big spotlight dropped from the copper ceiling and stopped in front of Glanexeem. The green glare covered his whole body. The wounds quickly disappeared under the glare. The skin and flesh speedily grew back together, leaving only a light scar there that marked the pellets once went through. “Activate Project MAGE,” Xilix finally said again.
Sitting on the back of Tireless, Barnala reached that old apartment. The apartment was made of bricks and also dust, and graffiti. The two vigilantes hid in the shadow of an alley. The man observed the apartment in detail. He saw those spider webs and broken windows. Some balconies even had only a half left. Although only a half were left, those halves were only made by deeply rusted iron fences. The woman didn’t spend any time looking at the building. It was her home, and she had lived there for her whole life. The two vigilantes went around the entire district around the building to get to the back door that rarely had a person there.
“Not many people live here,” Tireless said as he walked up the stairs with a girl lying on him. He held the girl’s thigh so she wouldn’t fall off him.
“That’s why I can afford it,” Alpha Fox replied as she pointed the way of her room. “I still can’t believe I told you where I live,” she sighed with a worried face.
“Why are you in such a hurry?” Tireless said as he slowed his steps and sneaked quietly to the room that Barnala pointed at.
“The council knew my identity. If they decided to hunt me down…….” Glorier paused her words, but Tireless continued, “they might harm your sister or use her as a trap.”
They fell into the silence as Barnala headed down and uttered in a worrying tone, “If she was harmed, you would pay for it.”
Tireless hushed plugged the key into the keyhole. As he opened the old wooden door, he said, “Don’t worry, I can handle them,” he paused a decisecond to generate the rest of the sentence in his brain, “even with another person on my back.”
The door was opened. There were no Guardians, no detectives, no generals, nor councilors inside, but a cute, sharp voice of a child, “Who are you? And… Why are you under my sister?”

Like many others across the multiverse, Markus was chosen as this world's hero to fight against the steadily approaching cataclysm. Only, something went horribly wrong. Left with only a handful of memories, Markus has spent years clawing his way up from poverty and officially registered as an adventurer to try and make his fortune. Unfortunately, Artificers are the least combat-capable class of the four classes, and Markus has no connections to join an established party. With the fate of countless worlds hanging in the balance, a chance meeting will determine the course of a war nearly as old as reality itself. Warning: Markus has trauma induced amnesia and will occasionally 'act out of character' or make 'poorly thought out' decisions. These events are rather obvously telegraphed abd represent conflicts between his current personality and the one repressed alongside his trauma. Just something to bear in mind. The story will bounce predominantly back and forth between the primary protagonists every couple of chapters. The time stream is linear, so events are not revisted/rehashed/retold through the narrative format. Characters may comment on something that has occurred, but that's different. Just giving a heads up.Chapters will be around 7-9k and updated 1/week on the same schedule as my other story Ogre Tyrant over the weekend.[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

The First Primordial [DROPPED]
[Story dropped until further notice, I don't currently plan on restarting the story but will leave it as a possible option] During the Creation and before the inception of the Realms, there were 3 beings. Known as Primordials, beings even the God's knew little about that were rumoured to be myths or legends. Follow one of such beings that, given the unflattering name Arthur and the species of Demon, must figure out his place within the realms and find his fellow Primordials. Spending the beginning of creation within what will be called The White Realm then spending an unknown amount of time screwing around in the Demon Realm. Once he finally begins his story, he will be acquainted with a world full of grand vistas, religious nuts and floating rocks which will remove whatever little common sense he had remaining. Of course, there will be no shortage of trouble that will complicate things that (due to a poor ability in making good first impressions) will cause more than a few worlds changing events. These events include the destruction of a church and minor religion, including the death of that religion's God, messing with the reincarnated people and even introducing his own reincarnators along with the slight involvement of a war between the Demon Realm and the Creation Realm. Slow burn story; expect the story to be long with plot being introduced as it goes along. The story will include a main character with an actual mind and personality that will create, learn, and even destroy as the story progresses with an emphasis on what experiencing the other side of most novels, a perspective on that one whimsical god that brings the protagonist from one world to another that is only ever mentioned in the starting chapter. [PS- This will be my first time writing, so advice, tips and critiques will be appreciated. The release schedule is a bit iffy and unreliable but will mostly be every Sunday]
