Strangers to friends, friends to strangers. It's an endless cycle, but it's sad to see people still find you admirable.

Path of Salt
After running off with his best friend to fight as Mercenaries, Tobias found out that he wasn't built for battle. Swiftly defeated but not dead, he could only lay down on the grass, and watch as Marcus fought off their enemies almost singlehandedly. Both of them survived that battlefield, and they both decided to return back to their Village. WARNINGS:-Yes, this contains LitRPG elements after a slow start, promise.-This work is incredibly Slice-of-Life heavy-Also conversation heavy-Also plot heavy (But not in that way, unfortunately)-The pacing in terms of plot is slow -(Edit after a review)- This story is also known as: I honestly don't understand what's the difference between "light" and "dark" stories. I realized that far too late, so this story is... weird. It might be light at times, and dark at times, and in all honesty, definitely has dark undertones. Born in stone deep within the earth, a gemstone stares out into the grassy expanse before them. A cascade of light from a giant crevice above is the only thing that sustains this underground world. Lining the walls of the ravine this dungeon core is delighted to find that there others like them. However with so many competitors in this enclosed eco system it will soon become apparent that there is limited natural resources and room for expansion. And there are those who will believe that for their growth to continue unimpeded there are those who must be, Eliminated. You have seen plenty of dungeon core stories, but what if there were many, and there could only be one? Well that's the question I ask today. As Kris and his party venture into the Abyss King's resting place, they ponder what dangers they may face. Little do they know their endeavor is the opening act in a grand undertaking that will shake the foundations of the world itself... Welcome to the Chronicles of Rathia. Contained within is a trilogy of stories which are all set in different time periods and with different characters. Each story has its own era from The Era of Blood, The Era of Magic and The Era of Demons. Read along the first in the series which is The Era of Blood where magic is still in an infant stage and where swords can dominate the battle field. In The Era of Blood, you follow along the first main character who had his memories wiped clean except for the most basic things in life. It is up to him to find out how to get his memories back and why they are gone. (If you don't like the story layout or characters, I suggest either just reading through or wait till the next one in the series is being released. With how it's set up, you can enjoy any of the three in the trilogy but of course reading in order will help give a better understanding of the world.) (Side authors note - I'm currently reworking the first several chapters as they are lacklustre to myself since they were originally a draft and not concrete at first. This note will stay here until all the chapters I wanted to fix up are done.)
