Wang Lei entered his room chamber while Feng Zhi walked away to put his blood filled clothes somewhere. Want Lei entered inside his room and his gaze fell on Huang Dewei who was pacing around the room. As the door was closed behind him, Huang Dewei stopped pacing around worriedly and a looked uo towards him.

'Where were you?' Huang Dewei asked directly as walked towards him towards him. Wang Lei looked up at him as he smiles on his concerned over Wang Lei disappearance. He always pretend he does not care about Wang Lei but then he always show worries towards him.

'I went out to get fresh air. Nothing much.' Wang Lei replied and Huang Dewei looked at him suspiciously like he was not buying that.

'I came last night and you were still not in your room. You are missing from last night, not from early morning. What kind of fresh air do you need that you were out all night and morning.' Huang Dewei asked as he remembered he came last night as well and Wang Lei stares at him who looked like his wife asking about his whereabouts. He somehow felt it pleasing.

'Were you worried for me?' Wang Lei asked as he folded his arms over his chest

'Yes, your safety is my duty as your bodyguard which I still am.' Huang Dewei replied sharply

'I thought since you hate me so much I live and die will not matter to you anymore. Even if I die, won't your life will become easy. You will be free and can go away from here.' Wang Lei said sarcastically and Huang Dewei clenched his fist regarding his non-serious views regarding his life usual. He bite his lips as he controlled not to snap at him.

'Just tell me where you went?' Huang Dewei asked going back to the topic and Wang Lei sighed as he spoke up

'I went to have some alone time Weiwei...it's not a big deal. You see there is nothing wrong with me and I am perfectly fine.' Wang Lei said as he lied and Huang Dewei looked at him who seem perfectly fine and now he felt stupid for worrying without any reason. Everyone needs alone time so does he? He should not bother him too much. Huang Dewei stares at him not saying anything when there was a knock on his door. The door opened as Xin Ying entered inside

'You are back...I am happy to see you fine and I hope Huang Dewei is calm now after seeing you all fine.' Xin Ying said as she smiled at them and then walked and stand next to Huang Dewei.

'I told you there is nothing to worry about. His father told me he sometimes goes to get some fresh air and alone time.' Xin Ying said to Huang Dewei as she laugh and they both just looked at each other without saying anything.

'How are you and baby feeling? I am sorry that I could not come last night to read the story to baby at bedtime.' Wang Lei said as he looked towards Xin Ying who smiled and looked at him.

'We both are feeling fine. Well, Huang Dewei filled in at your place last night so you are fine, you have to stay longer tonight to read the story.' Xin Ying said excitedly and Wang Lei looked at him suspiciously as he did not like the fact that they were alone last night while Huang Dewei stole away his eyes even though he was not guilty. He did not go on purpose, he went to check if Wang Lei was there since he was worried fit him and Xin Ying told him not to worry and read a book for the baby if he could and he could not reject her offer.

'Well, that's good to hear.' Wang Lei said as he fake smiled while he was glaring at Huang Dewei who was looking down, not daring to look up towards him.

'Yeah, Huang Dewei is good at storytelling. We had a great time last night' Xin Ying said happily and then she realised her mistake. She should not have worded them like this. Her words could give the wrong meaning. She quickly looked up and saw Wang Lei coldly looking at Huang Dewei. She indeed made a mistake. She realised Wang Lei did not like that they were together last night. There was a complete awkward silence between them.

'I think I should be going now...I just came to see that you have reached safe and sound.' Xin Ying said then turned over and walked out quickly from awkward silence. Huang Dewei looked up at him as soon as Xin Ying was out and Wang Lei was looking towards at him with disappointment. Huang Dewei quickly spoke up to clear up the misunderstanding

'It was nothing...I just read the story and came back to my room.' Huang Dewei said quickly and Wang Lei just nodded his head as he turned over and Huang Dewei was not satisfied with his reaction. He quickly got hold of his hand as he spoke up

'Don't you believe me?'

'Does it matter if I believe you or not?' Wang Lei replied as he harshly pulled out his hand from his grip and walked away. He walked away while Huang Dewei was hurt. He quickly followed him as he walked towards him and stopped in front of him

'You have to believe me. I told you nothing happened. I have no feelings left for her anymore except respect and care. She is like a friend to me now.' Huang Dewei said and Wang Lei looked toward him

'I believe you. I trust you. You are the one who doesn't trust me at all Huang Dewei.' Wang Lei replied and Huang Dewei looked him the away as he said nothing in response. That broke Wang Lei's heart again as he sighed

'You should go now. I will change and come. We are having a royal court hearing today. It will be your first time as my concubine so go and get dressed up.' Wang Lei said as he asked him to go and with one last gaze at him, Huang Dewei turned over and walked out. Wang Lei walked and sat down on the bed as he hissed in pain. He had been controlling hard but the pain was increasing. The medicine he was given was probably vanishing it's effects. He groaned in pain when there was a knock on his door and Feng Zhi walked inside with a medicine. Feng Zhi walked towards him as he greeted him and Wang Lei laid down on the bed while Feng Zhi treated his wound and change his medicine.

He attended the royal court and did his work all day while Huang Dewei was alongside him. He pretended all day he was fine while he knew his wound was giving him a lot of pain that he even felt issues when he was sitting up for long period of time. Wang Lei and Fang Zhi, both did not utter a word to each other while Huang Dewei was keeping an eye on him. He does not buy his excuse that he went to get alone time and fresh air for the whole night. He was not doubting that he was someone else because he does not need to do that. If he wanted someone he can have it in his room and no one would dare to say that. He trust him that he was not cheating, but he definitely was doing something else too and he was not telling Huang Dewei which was surprising and hurtful to Huang Dewei.

But they had no other talk between them and late at night, Huang Dewei came back to his room. He tiredly sighed as he sat down on his bed and he did not even bother lighting up more lights. The only light was coming from a candle on his bed sight. He sighed when he heard a sound behind him. His all sense woke up and he quickly got up to get hold of his sword but that person was too fast. His sword was already on his neck from the behind

'Don't move.' That person said and Huang Dewei froze not because he was getting attacked but because he recognised that voice.

'Lin Han...' Huang Dewei softly whispered his name and then he felt him moving away his sword but then he pulled him back in his arms hugging him from the back. He trapped Huang Dewei as he heard him.

'Did you miss me, Huang Dewei?' He whispered asked and Huang Dewei was shocked. He never excepted him to see him here like this after so many years.

'What are you doing here? How did you get in here?' Huang Dewei asked ignoring his question.

'Do you think fooling a few guards is not an easy task for me? Do you take me that weak, Huang Dewei?' Lin Han whispered responded to him when Huang Dewei pushed himself away and came out from his grip. He turned over and looked towards him and it was indeed him. Even after years, he could still recognise him.

'What do you want? I doubt you came to refresh our memories while you sneaked into my room in the night with the sword in your hand?' Huang Dewei asked straight while he moved and quickly got hold of his sword

'Do you think I came to kill you?' Lin Han said as he laughed and Huang Dewei was just all confused and shocked

'Are you the one killing those poor kids?' Huang Dewei asked and he stopped laughing as he glared at him

'Do you believe I did?'Lin Han asked while they were looking dead in each other eyes.

'I want to believe you did not, but you can tell me the truth.' Huang Dewei replied and Lin Han start laughing as he moved closer to him.

'Even now you keep making me fall in love with you Huang Dewei.' Lin Han said as he softly touched his cheek while Huang Dewei quickly pushed away his hand.

'We will never happen.' Huang Dewei replied and Lin Han's expression turned to stone.

'Is it because of that Emperor?' Lin Han asked and Huang Dewei stayed silent

'He will get bored of you Huang Dewei. Don't you get it? He will be having his family soon. Do you think he will care about you?' Lin Han said as he reminded him of the harsh reality that Huang Dewei knew about it too. He bite his lips as he spoke up

'You don't need to worry about him. I love him and he trusts me.' Huang Dewei replied and then he heard him laugh again. His laugh was disturbing him and he wanted to get rid of that laugh.

'Trust? Do he really trusts you? Why did he come to get me without you? Did you know about it?' Lin Han said and Huang Dewei was left stunned over his question.

'What?'

'It does seem like you know nothing. I even stabbed him as proof. If you do not believe me then go and check the wound on his stomach. It would be still there and fresh.' Lin Han said and Huang Dewei was just shocked. He said nothing while Lin Han was looking at him

'And yes I am the one killing those children because they all reminded me of you. You were the reason they were killed. That was the age you rejected me and I got stuck in that time. It is you I am trying to kill, not them.' Lin Han confessed as he blamed all on Huang Dewei who quickly shook away his head with unbelievable eyes.

'No, I am not the reason...' Huang Dewei whispered asked and Lin Han glared at him for not accepting his responsibility. He moved and pushed him into the wall as he put his hand over his throat. Huang Dewei's sword fell to the ground but he does not care. He felt he lost all his sense as his mind was struck on Lin Han's words

'You are the reason. I tried killing you in those children, but I could not...I could not forget you Huang Dewei...' He screamed as he tighten and Huang Dewei grasped for the air as his eyes widen and turned red and watery. He felt he life was slowly slipping away from him.

'...just come back to me Huang Dewei. I promise to always keep you happy. I will wait for you. If you want to save more kids then give yourself to me.' Lin Han said as he slowly let go of his hand and Huang Dewei fell to the ground coughing horribly.

'....That's not love, but your obsession.' Huang Dewei said after he caught his breath and looked up towards him with red water filled eyes. who smiled evilly in response

'Fine, you are my obsession so what? If you want no more killing of poor children then make your decision wisely. I will come back in seven days.' Lin Han said then he turned over and jumped out of the window which was wide open. That was probably he came in the first place anyway. Huang Dewei did not even bother running after him because he knew he would have a runoff. All Huang Dewei's brain was saying was that Wang Lei went without him which means he does not trust him anymore and second that he was a reason who made someone a killer. His brain was processing only to those thoughts and whispering in his mind and he felt anger start fuming inside him. All thought meddled up in his brain and he knew where and to who he was going to take that all anger out. He turned over and stormed out of his room.
