《World Of Swords》95 : Return

As Xu Yue looked at the statue before her, inside the headquarters of the Wu clan.
Countless Wu clansmen could be seen walking around a plaza, each time one of them passed by its center, they would slightly bow down to the statues that were present there.
As time passed, the third statue began morphing, the old man that was enshrined on it was quickly replaced by Xu Yue, this caused a chain reaction, causing the owner of the smallest statue to disappear.
Suddenly, Xu Yue felt a connection with something, as she sent her spiritual sense through the connection, Xu Yue's statue slowly opened its eyes, the eyes then immediately closed as no time had passed for the statue to accumulate power.
"So this is one of the uses of this thing," mumbled Xu Yue as she looked at the temple around her and wondered how the Wu clan could have possibly obtained it.
As she stopped thinking for a moment, Xu Yue silently looked at Wu Ning's statue for a few more moments before looking at the coffin behind it.
For the first time in her life, Xu Yue shuddered as she felt an ancient lifeforce slumber in the coffin.
Unknown to Xu Yue, the moment she looked at the coffin, Wu Ning's eyes slightly opened for a few moments and looked at her before closing again.
Seeing the coffin, Xu Yue walked behind the statue, completely unaware that a door that led further down disappeared a moment ago.
As Xu Yue was walking toward the exit, she slowly closed her eyes, one of her karmic connections seemed to have been enhanced.
Xu Yue smiled as she touched the scales of the luck dragon before her, even though it was extremely massive, based on her estimates it was only two or three percent the size of the Origin Sword Sect's luck dragon.

This left Xu Yue quite disappointed, but unknown to her, this information would cause a great shock if revealed, as most powers the size of the Wu clan have nowhere near as much luck.
As she stopped thinking about luck, Xu Yue felt herself appear in the real world before she quickly appeared before Wu Xingqiu and her group.
"Ancestor, do you want to visit the headquarters of the clan?" asked Wu Xingqiu as he slightly bowed towards Xu Yue.
"That would be quite good," mumbled Xu Yue as she began following Wu Xingqiu.
Two days later,
A completely bored Xu Yue slowly walked through the Wu clan headquarters, as she did so, she slightly stopped and looked in a certain direction before changing where she was going.
Wu Xiaoming swung his sword with great vigor as he gritted his teeth as he suddenly felt a rock strike it.
"Senio-"
"What is this trash technique?" asked Xu Yue completely cutting off what Wu Xiaoming wanted to say.
"I-"
"Did anyone even teach you swordsmanship," mumbled Xu Yue as she threw another small rock at the young man before throwing out a small book from her spatial ring.
"If you master this in three days call for me, but if you don't manage to do it, don't even bother, I won't train trash," said Xu Yue with pure malice in her voice before going back to wondering.
The ten-year-old Wu Xiaoming was unsure of what to do, as such, he took the book into his hands before reading it.
Three days later,
"I see, so you aren't pure trash," said Xu Yue as she threw another rock at the young man, imitating the way her father used to teach her when she was young.
"But still, taking three whole days to master a technique that perfectly suited you, you still have no potential," said Xu Yue as she continued throwing rocks at the pitiful Wu Xiaoming.

In fact, what Xu Yue had said was not completely wrong, the technique he was practicing right now was truly perfect for him, as Xu Yue had created it by looking at him for a few moments.
Three days later,
"Xiaoming thanks teacher," said Wu Xiaoming as he repeatedly kowtowed to Xu Yue.
"Go bother someone else," said Xu Yue before a kick of hers sent, him flying, for some reason, Wu Xiaoming was not injured by either the kick nor the fall.
After finishing that, Xu Yue along with her group began walking out of the Wu clan headquarters.
"Senior sister, why did you teach that kid?" asked Ming Yun with a curious expression on her face.
"He has a bit of talent," said Xu Yue dodging having to say the real answer.
"Understood," said Ming Yun wondering what the real reason was for her senior sister to do such a thing.
"I wonder what that kid will lead me to for my intuition to become so wild," mumbled Xu Yue as she suddenly wanted to return to the sect, completely scrapping her plans of going to a beast minor world.
Beast minor worlds were worlds completely controlled by beasts and half humans, contrary to expectations, beasts and humans were on relatively good terms in the Three Thousand Regions.
Even though humans were overwhelmingly more powerful, because of their unity, no single power except for the peak powers could defeat them.
Based on what Xu Yue knew. the beasts and the peak powers had some sort of deal, even beast tides, something most cultivators thought were completely natural, were done with the permission of the Peak powers.
After spending some more time in the city and having some bad luck, Xu Yue and her group entered the ship and began flying towards the sword region.
An unknown amount of time later,
As Xu Yue's ship entered into the sect, a tiny blob of light suddenly flew towards Xu Yue at a fast speed before transforming into a young Xu Yue.
"There, there, don't cry Ming'er, I'm here," said Xu Yue as she slowly patted Xu Ming's back as the little spirit cried in her chest.

Shades of the Moon
I'm rewriting this story! I have taken down Arc 2 and Arc 3 already to avoid spoiling my new novel. The only reason I'm keeping the first 10 chapters is nostalgia; the writing is awkward and the story is not plotted out properly, but it's here if anyone wants to compare it to the new one. If you'd like to read a more professionally written version of this story, I highly suggest checking out my Synergy. Synopsis version too-many-to-count: “I see,” Kiona said. “But . . . you’re changing once again, aren’t you?” The entity considered her question, lifting a clawed hand towards the night sky. They observed the back of their hand idly, watching the glowing orange veins pulse alongside their pitch-black exoskeleton. The wind picked up right then, and Kiona shivered—just as much from the cold as from the savage grin on the creature's face. “That’s right,” the entity said, clenching their hand slowly into a fist. They let out a quiet laugh, staring defiantly at the Moon as it rose from behind the clouds. “We are shades, yet not exactly. Not like the others. Here, in this world, we've become something more. We are the Shades of the Moon.” There was a heartbeat of silence, during which Kiona joined the entity in their skygazing. The light-green Moon loomed over the city, shining like the entity's eyes. It promised otherworldly knowledge and terrible secrets. It promised progress. It promised change. In that moment, Kiona couldn't have imagined anything more beautiful. “Shades of the Moon, huh?” she said, smiling a bit. It had a nice ring to it.
