Recently, a video of a public dispute was taken and shared online showing a couple arguing with a middle-aged woman.

Published on Kakaostory, the user wrote on their description giving viewers a context for the video. The description read:

❝︎This happened about a week ago and I was really contemplating on whether I should upload this. But I think that it's important to raise awareness on the topic of racism in our country...

Moments before this video was taken, the couple in the video were minding their own business and enjoying their meal before the ahjumma in the video seated adjacent to them asked them "May I know your race?" to which the guy and the girl replied that he's Korean and she's Japanese respectively.

The ahjumma then sarcastically replied with "Ah I see." and when asked why she asked, she claimed she thought it was racist that a Japanese girl was dating a Korean, much to the shock and confusion of everyone in the cafe.❞︎

Throughout the video, viewers are able to see the frustration from both sides as the couple aggressively defended themselves as they claimed "love sees no ethnicity, skin colour nor genders" while the lady continues to question "if she (the woman) was proud of her own race, why would she date someone of another race instead of her own?"

So far, the lady in the video has been identified to be a high-ranking employee working for a banking company and is currently suspended from her duties. and fans however are speculating that the couple in the video (whose only their backs are shown,) be and .
