《As You Wish : Loki Fanfic》Frustration

"Put her on the bed." I instructed Fandral as I handed Hilde off to him. I had brought us straight to my room in the palace from the forest. As Fandral laid Hilde on my bed, I ran to the door. "Eir!" I yelled and exited my room into the infirmary. "Eir!" I called out desperately.
"I'm right here, child. No need to shout." Eir said, standing up from her seat next to a patient. "You're covered in blood." She told me worriedly and rushed over to me.
"It's not mine, it's Hilde's. She's in my room." I explained and practically dragged her into my room to help Hilde. "She's got a large wound on her left side. I'm pretty sure it's infected." I told her.
Eir rushed over to Hilde's side and looked over the wound. After her assessment, Eir lifted her head.
"Fandral, could you please bring the Valkyrie over to the soul forge?" She asked.
"Of course, Lady Eir." Fandral nodded and bent to pick Hilde up again. Hilde hissed in pain, but didn't say anything otherwise. Eir turned to leave and prepare her supplies as we played catchup.
While Fandral laid Hilde on the soul forge, I helped Eir gather the things she needed. Gauze, antiseptics, wraps, more gauze, and tools. The wound was bad and needed to be disinfected before she could start healing magic. Even then, the wound was too large to be healed all in one session. It would probably take a whole week, a full seven sessions, to heal completely.
When Eir saw me gathering the things she needed, she turned to help Hilde. I put all the gauze and tools on her movable work bench and pushed it over to her. The only thing left for me to do was mix the antiseptic mixture to dip some of the gauze in and use as a wet dressing.
"Eir, where's the antiseptic mixture?" I questioned when it wasn't where it was supposed to be. Since I basically lived in the infirmary, I would help every now and then when I was needed. It gave me something to do during the day.

"Over by patient bed three." She told me. I rushed over to it to grab the highly concentrated mixture. Eir must have treated a patient with it earlier today.
I grabbed a stone bowl and poured one part antiseptic to three parts water and stirred it until it was a pale blue color, the antiseptic being a dark blue on its own.
"Here," I said as I set the heavy bowl on the table next to Eir. "Where's Fandral?" I asked and looked around the infirmary.
"He became ill, so he's in the operating room." She explained. I actually thought Fandral was getting used to teleporting, I guess I was wrong. "Can you go get her Majesty, Sammee?" Eir asked me. If she was asking for Frigga, then Hilde's wounds were as bad as I thought.
"Of course," I nodded. "Be back soon." I told her before teleporting out of the room to Frigga's door.
I knocked loudly on the door until Emery opened it with an annoyed expression. I didn't wait and explain it to her. Now that I knew Frigga was in there, I teleported in, worried tears in my eyes and breathing heavily.
"Sammee, Love, what's wrong?" Frigga asked when she saw me. She was sitting on her plush couch in the sitting room reading a book. Frigga swiftly closed her book and stood as I ran toward her.
"Hilde, she's- she's really hurt and Eir needs your help to heal her." I panted out while clutching onto Frigga's forearms.
"Let's go, then." Frigga nodded and started to walk toward the door, but I stopped her with a hand on her arm.
"Hold on, walking will take too long." I told her and closed my eyes to focus. I hadn't tried to teleport anyone else without the cube since I teleported Bucky months ago. I knew it would strain me, but I didn't much care. If only I had thought to grab the tesseract before leaving. "Bend your knees a bit." I told Frigga as I locked onto my intended destination.

I felt my feet leave the ground and touch down a millisecond later. I opened my eyes slowly to see that I had done it, Frigga and I were in my room. I exhaled in relief before swaying on my feet. I used too much energy to teleport us here.
"Oh-" Frigga exclaimed before she caught me and lead me to sit down on my bed. "You can join us when you're feeling better, until then, stay here, please." She told me and leaned down to kiss my forehead, leaving hurriedly afterward.
I groaned and held a hand to my head. I already had a headache. Add on top Hilde's injury and the Sceer, and I finally felt how overwhelming today was. I pushed on my eyes to try to reach the headache slamming into my skull and sat up, taking deep breaths.
I dropped my hands when two sharp knocks sounded from my door.
"Come in," I said worriedly. The door opened and Fandral walked in, still holding the metal box the tesseract was kept in.
"Her Majesty told me you were faint, are you alright?" He questioned and walked over to me.
"Ya," I sighed and swung my legs off the bed to stand. "I'm good." I told him as I pushed myself up and wobbled on my feet. Fandral dropped the box on a chair as he rushed to steady me.
"Whoa- whoa." He mumbled and grabbed my arms. "You should lie back down." He told me, but I shook my head.
"I need to check on Hilde." I said and tried pushing away from him.
"She's fine. Both the Queen and Lady Eir are working on her. It's you they're worried about." He explained and tried to gently push me back into bed.
"I'm-" I huffed and shoved his arms off of me. "Will you stop that!" I yelled.
"Fine," He stubbornly told me and took a few steps back. "If you can walk five feet to me without stumbling or falling on your ass, I'll stop." He said and gestured widely to challenge me. I rolled my eyes at him and took three steps before tripping and falling forward. Fandral caught me with a loud sigh. "You're not well. Lie down, please." He said gently.
"I just used too much energy. It'll be back on a few minutes. I just want to be out there with her." I told him frustratedly. Fandral sucked his teeth before standing straight and looking over his shoulder.
"Do you think that... cube-thing can help?" He asked me. I cocked my head as I looked over at it.
"Worth a shot. It is an energy source." I shrugged. Without warning, Fandral bent down and scooped me up into his arms. I yelped and immediately tensed, which he laughed at.
"Relax, Princess." Fandral chuckled and set me down in the chair while he picked the box up and unlocked it.
Once it was unlocked, he held the box out for me and I reached in, taking the cube in my hand. As soon as my fingers grazed it, energy lit up my veins. I sucked in a sharp breath at the burn of power, but it settled after a moment.
"Are you alright? Did it work?" Fandral asked. I stood up and put the cube back in its box.
"Ya, it worked."

Needletongue, Carrotcake
The world isn't fair. If anything, the inherent injustice of the world is what separates it from the fiction we so adore. Luis Freighthold knew this all too well, and that was why it took a bit longer than it should have to realise when he suddenly had everything he could ever have wanted. Raised in a working-class single-father home, Luis had no other escape than fiction. Specifically, vampire stories of varying quality and genre. There was something appealing about the ability to fly, turn into shadows and become smoke. Danger. An unfamiliarity with the social world that rejected him so. Was it so wrong for him to hope for a different life? Maybe, maybe not. Either way, now he had it—a lust for blood and abilities beyond the understanding of civil man. Could you really say that he had anything left to complain about? A vampire story following an unconventional vampire boy forced to accept that maybe becoming a vampire doesn't magically solve all your problems. As a matter of fact, it might just make a whole bunch of them even worse. Regardless, Luis is prepared to try everything to live up to the vampire books he had previously gorged on. What did it matter that his vampire form had no teeth, replaced instead by a long, needle-tipped tongue? He was still a vampire, wasn't he?
