Are you a fan of Stray Cat Strut? Have you ever wanted to try your hand at writing your own Stray Cat Strut story? Well, now is your chance!
Introducing the SCS Fanfiction Contest! This month-long contest is designed to give aspiring writers the opportunity to showcase their skills and win big prizes.
Here's how it works:
Throughout the month of March, write a one-shot or the opening chapter of a Stray Cat Strut fanfic. Submit your entry to us via DM, either on RR or on our Patreon. Entries must be at least 1,000 words in length and must clearly be a Stray Cat Strut fanwork. While there's no upper limit, keep in mind that not everyone wants to read 10K to judge it, so be sensible! Plagiarism will not be tolerated and will result in disqualification. While AI assistance is not strictly against the rules, we encourage you to write your story to the best of your ability without relying too heavily on AI tools. The winner will receive a cash prize of $1,000USD
But that's not all! To ensure a fair competition, we have a few rules and stipulations that all participants must adhere to:
Participants must have access to PayPal for fund transfers in case of victory. Participants must be at least 18 years of age or the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence. Your story must take place in the Stray Cat Strut universe or use SCS' cast of characters. Feel free to self-insert or create your own unique samurai OC! No lewds! The winning entry will be subject to editing before being posted. Judging will be based on creativity, originality, and adherence to the Stray Cat Strut universe. So what are you waiting for? Get writing and show us what you've got! Voting will open on April 2nd, 2023 and close on April 9th. All submissions must be handed in before the 31st of March, 2023.

He's not so keen on falling through an interdimensional portal to a fantasy world where floating boxes tell you that you've just been given status as the 'Supreme Exemplar' of your species, a powerful package of abilities that includes human-level intelligence. I recently got into the whole dungeon thing, and thought that I wanted to write one of my own! Chapter Length: 2000+ Words. It can only be more, never less. Chapter Release Schedule: Whenever I can write. I am juggling this with my main Fiction, so yeah... Disclaimer: - Don't expect much statistical growth from the MC. Although I plan for him to refine his techniques and increase his repertoire. - You can guess from the name, but there will not be too much action in the dungeon itself. Plus, the dungeon has been fully built, so not too many things will be added either. The whole idea is to kill potential intruders before they enter the Dungeon. - This will be more like a Kingdom building story, than a Dungeon Building one. MC will try to dominate his surroundings so that he can keep his Dungeon safe. - There will be Slice of life elements, since realistically speaking, events aren't supposed to happen all the time. - This work is inspired, to a certain extent, by Murayama-sama's Overlord Light novel. Minus the 'emotionless' undead MC, and the premise of misunderstandings. The NPCs will also be aware that they were characters in a game, that came to life for some reason, so no need for MC to role-play to pull the wool over the eyes of his own allies. Also, unlike Overlord, there is a chance for the cast of characters to increase through a built-in gacha system(This is not a spoiler, this will literally be explained in the first few chapters.), except that the rates are absolutely abysmal, so it won't happen frequently. Maybe I'll use a poll to decide the next ally? We'll see.
