Here is some random worldbuilding things about the flooded world that have yet to come up in the story.

There are giant floating mats of vegetation sailing across the ocean and tended by druid. They are flexible, and when waves come, the ground roils.

There is a non-zero number of societies that still exist beneath the ocean. One of these is a zone of water annihilation in which a lich is the sole inhabitant, catered to by his army of skeletons.

The flood displaced the seafolk as well. The rising water levels made the pressure too high for them to bear in their homes, so they too had to flee from the Flood.
