《Learn How To Love》Laundry, Baking, And A Kiss

"Come on, let's do some laundry," Steven said, gesturing to your old clothes.
"Good idea," you gathered up your clothes and struggled to carry them without getting egg all over yourself.
Steven chuckled; "Here." He took your clothes and surrounded them in a small pink bubble.
"Rad," you spoke under your breath, staring at the bubble.
"Yep," Steven smirked, stepping onto the crystal platform.
"What are you doing?" You asked hesitantly.
"We've gotta warp to the washer and dryer," he explained. "They're on the hand."
"The... hand? Warp...?"
"Just c'mere," Steven chuckled.
You stood next to Steven on the platform nervously, not knowing what to expect.
"You might wanna hang on," Steven warned, putting his arm around your waist. You shivered at his touch.
"Okay," Steven smirked, "here we go." All of a sudden, the living room was gone, and you were surrounded by a tunnel of light. You felt weightless as the floor disappeared, and the only thing keeping you from flying away was Steven holding on to you. You wrapped your arms around him- terrified of what might happen if either of you let go. Steven smiled to himself- he certainly wasn't against the physical contact.
Just as suddenly as it all started, it ended, and you found yourself once again planted on the platform. Only now, you were outside the beach house- standing on a giant stone... ohhh that's what he meant by "the hand."
You realized how tightly you were clinging to Steven and let go quickly, blushing and looking away. He smiled and walked over to the washing machine, which stood at the edge of the hand. It was nice up there- the cool nighttime breeze blew through the hanging garments on the clothesline- all the while, you could see the beach and most of the city from there.

Steven popped the bubble of clothes over the open washing machine and let them fall in.
"How does the washing machine work?" You asked. "I mean... they're... outside?"
"Yeah, I don't know," Steven answered. "Garnet says it's magic."
You laughed; "Of course. What else?"
Steven started the load and met you on the warp pad once more.
"You ready?" He asked.
"Nope," you said, "let's do it."
And with that, you returned to the living room in a beam of light, clinging to Steven's arm all the while.
"Wanna get some cookies in the oven?" Steven asked, returning to the task at hand.
"Not before I snack on the dough," you responded- jokingly serious.
"Oh, of course. I'd expect nothing less," Steven agreed, equally as serious.
The two of you dissolved into laughter and made your way to the kitchen- where the two of you scooped spoonfuls of cookie dough onto a baking tray (stealing a few bites here and there).
Once the tray was full, you started to put the cookies in the oven, but let out a yelp when your hand grazed the inside of the oven.
You made sure the cookies were set in the oven before rushing to the sink to run some cold water.
"(Y/N)-" Steven followed you in concern, "are you okay?!"
"Yeah, I'm fine-" you put your hand under the water, which was unexpectedly hot, and hissed at the pain. You took your hand back and held it to your chest.
"Here, let me help," Steven said, taking your hand.
"What do you mean? You gonna magically un-burn my hand?" You turned speechless when Steven brought your hand up to lips and laid a gentle kiss on your burn.
"Uh..." you looked at him strangely, until you felt the pain in your hand disappear. "Did- did you...?" You slowly pulled your hand back and examined it. "You magically un-burned my hand!"

"Heh, yeah..." Steven smiled awkwardly, "healing spit! Thank you, magical destiny."
"I can't believe it..." you whispered to yourself, running your fingers over where the burn once was. "How did you even find out you could do that?" You asked. "It's so... specific."
"Oh, well... I was like... 14? Ish? And I was hanging out with-" Steven stopped abruptly for a second, "a friend."
You wondered who he was talking about, but decided not to pry. It sounded like a sore subject.
"Anyway, I let her have some of my juice box, and then she could see without her glasses," Steven finished.
Glasses... hm.
"Anyway," Steven changed the subject, "we have more sleepover activities to attend to. What are the main clichés we have to hit?"
"Hm..." you thought. "Face masks, pillow fort, truth or dare? That's... all I can think of. It's been a while since I've had a proper sleepover..."
"No, no- you're spot on," Steven chuckled. "I think I have a few of those creepy animal sheet masks?" he offered. "The gems got them for me. I... never used them," he explained.
"Oh, those are awful," you said. "Yes please."
