Visenya was getting ready to leave for Driftmark when Rhaenrya entered her chambers.
"Are you done?" She asked.
Visenya nodded adjusting her riding clothes and looked at her cousin's face which oozed out sadness. They have never been separated and were more of sisters than cousins. "I am sorry for leaving you alone here." She said feeling guilty.
"Don't be. I know how you feel here and how much you miss your father. I would have done the same." Rhaenrya said giving her an reassuring smile. "I will be alright."
Visenya hugged her tightly. "I am just a raven away if you need me." She sighed then contemplated whether or not to tell her about her plan. "Can i tell you something?" She asked.
Rhaenrya furrowed her brows. "You know I can keep a secret, if I want to."
"I know." Visenya let out another sigh. " Father and Uncle Corlys are going to war in Stepstones, and I'm going to ask father if I can join them."
"You want to fight in a war?" Rhaenrya asked shocked.
"I can be helpful, I am an above average fighter and I have a dragon. And I want to be a warrior." She explained.
The older girl exhaled and nodded. " I understand. If that's what you want, then you have my support."
Visenya smiled at her and after greeting the king they went to the Dragon pit where Naerion was waiting saddled for her rider. She caressed the she-dragon and biding goodbye to her cousin she flew for Driftmark.
_________
As Visenya landed on Driftmark, she saw her cousins Laena and Laenor waiting to greet her, along with Louis Stark, much to her surprise. She let Naerion fly and went to greet them. As she reached them Laena did a courtesy and the boys bowed.

"None of that." Visenya told them. She hugged her cousins tightly and gave Louis a polite smile. "Lord Stark, it's nice to see you again."
"It's good to see you too princess." Louis said with a smile of his own and from the corner of her eyes Visenya saw her cousins sharing a smirk and subtly rolled her eyes.
"Where are my father, uncle Corlys and princess Rhaenys?"
"Mother is taking a bath after flying and father and prince Daemon are with their men talking about Stepstones." Laenor told her. "We were there as well but we came to greet you." He said pointing towards himself and the Stark heir.
Visenya raised a brow. "You want to fight in the war?" She asked Louis, surprised, seeing as this war didn't affect the North.
"My father is friends with Lord Corlys and he wants me to gain battle experience so he sent me. I want the same as well." Louis explained.
"Let's hope my father agrees to let me fight as well." Visenya said and the three turned towards her shocked.
"You want to fight in the war?" Laenor said to her emphasising on the you.
She rolled her eyes. "Yes. Is it that surprising? I know how to fight."
"Yes, I know that. But this is a war. " He said as if talking to a small child.
"Thanks for telling me. I didn't think it was so obvious." Visenya sassed and the other two let out a chuckle, while Laenor rolled his eyes. But before he could say something Laena interrupted them.
"The meeting must have finished by now. Do you want to go meet your father?" She asked Visenya who nodded.
"Yes." She turned towards the boys. "I'll see you later. We'll spar."

"But you could get hurt." Louis said worried.
"Yeah, so could you." She said and saw both the boys open their mouth to complain. "And it's a Royal order, so you can't refuse. I guess you know the punishment for that. Good. See you later."
She left without waiting for a reply and the three gaped after her.
"She's something else." Louis breathed out, making the Valareon siblings snicker at his awe.
___________
As she went to the chambers where the meeting was being held she saw Lord Corlys coming out. Visenya gave him a smile. "Uncle Corlys. Is he inside?"
"Yes. He is waiting for you." The seasnake told her.
After giving him one more smile and a nod, she went inside and saw her father staring at fire.
She called out and Daemon turned towards her. She ran and went straight to his open arms. "How are you?" She asked pulling out of the hug.
Daemon let out a chuckle. "I should be asking you that. I'm your father."
Visenya just shrugged. "Details." Daemon let out a snort.
"How are you?" He then asked seriously.
"Fine that I'm here now. But at the Red Keep it has been really suffocating lately. You know with everything that's been going on, Viserys's wedding to Alicent." She then gave him a pointed look. " And you steeling Balon's egg and creating that farce."
"I'm sorry about that. I just wanted-"
"I know what you wanted." Visenya interrupted him gently. "But it really would have been nice to have a sibling. " She added. Not joking at all.
"You want a sibling?" Daemon asked surprised.
"I mean it's nice to have your attention to myself but it gets boring at times without a brother and sister. No one to fight with."
"What kind of logic is that?"
"The kind that only smart people can understand." Visenya said dismissively earning a look of disbelief from him. "And now that we are talking about wanting things," She took a deep breath. "I want to join you at Stepstones." She said bluntly making Daemon choke on air.
"I should have known that you won't come here without any hidden motives." He said letting out a astonished laugh.
"Please Kepa. You know I can fight and I've got Naerion too."
Daemon sighed. " I know you can fight. I know you are better than good at it too. " He rubbed his head and sighed. He closed his eyes and looked like he's asking for patience. " Fine. Fight against Laenor and the Stark boy. There both good knights. I'll see how you do against them. If I think you are ready, you can join us."
Visenya gave him a bright smile. " If you go with me, you've got to listen to me." Daemon told her seriously.
She nodded and jumped to hug him. "Thank you."
"This isn't very Princess like behavior, " Daemon joked.
" I thought we already established that I am aiming for the title of Rouge Princess." Visenya sassed making Daemon laugh.

UPDATES TUES/THURS after chapter 5 Cover art by Tumblr User: @pigeon-princess This book features characters that are related to in many ways to my other novel "Grimoire". While both stories are their own stand alone series, Sun God's Corruption will add a good amount of depth to Grimoire, and Grimoire shows the unfoldings of the world that will eventually come from the events in Sun God's Corruption. I reccomend reading them both interchangably.
