《Judah Judas Adventures》Chapter 63 - The draft

On this cold night, all of our knights and even I have been gathered in the canteen tent where Fiona is going to name the knights and the soldiers who are going to be sent into fighting against the enemy kingdom, specifically, the Turkish Empire. Fiona is looking at the parchment and she is telling all of the male, female, humans, semi-humans, animal-humans, monster-humans soldiers gathered here the reason she has called us while we got important business to do. Such as resting or reading a book. I haven't read a book in a long time since when we have left the campsite.
"Fighters! Warriors! Knights of the Royal Army! As most of you know, I spoke to the King of the Kingdom of Moldova, and he told me that we were both fooled by the noble Henderson Levranghe."
Every warrior from this group have been shocked but by not the fact that he did this thing, but by the fact, he was speaking with someone from the other kingdom. "How can a girly-man speak with someone much higher than his father?" asks one fat warrior to Lucian who is in shock too. "How the hell this bastard pulled this one out?!" asked a girl warrior who is wearing a knight armour.
"I know this is weird, but the King of Moldovia has tolled me that Henderson wanted to create this panic just to let the enemy force advance in our Kingdom to take it, while our Kingdom will take the Turkish part. And this is bullshit from a snake-like Henderson!" says Fiona to everyone. "And now, I and the king of Moldovia have made a pact that our armies will collaborate and we will destroy the Turkish Empire for that and both of our kingdoms will take that big land in seafood, gold, silver, and strong weapons! I know this is sudden for some of you, but you have to trust me!"
"How do you know that Henderson is doing that?" asked Roger, the guy who was punished by the other noble who is still locked in the cage like an animal.
"The King has shown some... documents, Roger. And those documents represent why Henderson wanted to take that land. It looks like he wanted to take the land, just to create a new life there, but I do not buy that, even though Henderson is related to the Kingdom of Moldovia."

And everyone, when Fiona has said that part, was with their mouth open. This thing has hit has hard because we did not think that the guy who is much weaker than me, can be related by blood with such a family of one of the neighbouring kingdom. Fiona then pulls out a parchment and then she says.
"Now, we will start saying the people who will go in this campaign in the Turkish Empire, where they will have to listen to the General of the Kingdom of Moldovia orders."
And I am looking at Fiona, standing still and waiting for her to say my name and going into another dangerous mission.
"The people who are going to go to the campaign are... Julius Rommancier, Lucian Flint, Louis Flint, Camille Ronerta, Glenn Turner, Fred Grimony and Gabriel Harmony."
And those seven warriors are going closer to Fiona, while the rest of us are going in the back to let them talk to Fiona. Those seven warriors are quite some good warriors and they are looking quite powerful because there is Fred who can manipulate the fire, Gabriel who can manipulate ice, and the only one who can shut Fred's mouth; Brother Flint is excellent chemistry of the muscles and magic; Camille is a good soldier with her sword and Julius... I do not know him but judging from the fact that he has a levitating spell-book means that he is at the same level as Emily, my auntie who is still on the campsite and fighting against those Turkish warriors.
After a few minutes, while Fiona was talking with those seven warriors about the mission they are going to go on, everyone has left the canteen tent and going to do their business, and I am going to Fiona to ask her something. I arrive closer to her and both of us are walking to our abandoned home where we are staying until the war will be over.
"So, what are we going to do now?"
"In the next two days, we will leave this place and goes back to our camp, where our Army is and fighting against those enemy warriors." responds Fiona to my question. "And when we will arrive there, we will tell our General every detail we know and maybe we can get rid of that noble who is starting to give a headache."

"Alright. And why you did not pick me to go there?"
"You are still a beginner, Judah. After what Brother Flint has told me what you have done, you could be ready, but I am not going to send my favourite squire into a dangerous mission."
"Favourite? Ain't your first squire?"
"Yes. The only one who made out this far."
"Eh?"
"It doesn't matter. What are matters now, is the fact that we have to rest because tomorrow it will be a busy day for me and you."
"For me?"
"Yeah. You will have to help Josh to move that useless noble into the cart and help him deliver that package into our army where the General will most likely send him back to our Kingdom and put him in Jail because the King has discovered the fact that he did nothing worthy of being a General in this campaign, he even make a few soldiers his slave and has even lost a battle against a warrior who is much weaker than me."
"Weaker ?"
"The strength of the noble is corrupted, Judah. Anyway, that will be your mission, and don't worry, you will not be just you and Josh, there will also be Roger, just in case if you will get attacked on the road and also he wanted to see the noble suffering."
"I see."
Fiona and I are entering our temporary house. We are going to our bedrooms to go and catch a good night's sleep for tomorrow morning, where I will have to transport that noble back to the camp where I was last time. But before I was about to get on the bed, I take a quick look at the window and saw seven warriors who are at a campfire, I drink that yellow liquid called beer and I notice through this darkness that they are talking and joking. It seems that the seven warriors who venture into the enemy kingdom will have an adventure... That is if they all get away with it. I leave the window and I am getting on the bed and tries to sleep, which worked in almost thirty seconds because I am a fast sleeper sometimes.
------
"F-Fiona... Fiona..." says the noble who is locked in an animal cage while he is biting his own nails who are getting bigger every day. "I-I wi-will get out of h-here someday... And I... I will beat you to death... I will beat for the things you have done to me... I... I will ruin you! I WILL RUIN YOUR LIFE, YOU WRENCH!" and that noble is biting so hard that finger he is starting to bleed, and the noble is continuing to try to bite the meat part of the finger.
While that noble is eating his finger, someone is coming closer to that noble cage, and that someone is not a human or a semi-human, that one is just one of the monsters that the King of Moldovia have mentioned earlier. That monster looks like a Werewolf, but this kind of werewolf is not exactly a werewolf or his far cousin, Vewolf, this one is Spiwoolf, a wolf who can take the spirits of humans and he can inherit in their bodies.
"Hey!" says the noble when he sees that Spiwoolf who is coming closer to him. "Who are you?"
But right when the noble was about to scream for help, he fainted in the cage and the Spiwoolf has completely vanished into the body of that noble. And after that, the body of the noble is waking up and starts to barks at the starry sky, and after he barks for a few seconds is using his force to control the noble body and trying to use him to leave the cage. With just one punch, the entrance to the cage opens, and the lock falls to the ground. The nobleman who is possessed by Spiwoolf begins to run through the forest to search for food or a small village.

Everyone is a Superhero! Apart from me
Welcome to Loktharma, where everybody is a superhero from birth. That makes Eugene De Lavet the most special of them all. At eighteen years old, he still has no clue what his superpower is. Loktharma has never been a fair world. There are Worldbreakers who were born to brandish the power of the universe, warp time-space, destroy lands and continents. There are Craftmasters who control the elements and terrorize countries with their might and wits. There are Commoners who are only gifted with power for the finer arts, architecture, military arts, or small-scale elemental manipulation. Even in an unjust world like Loktharma, there is always one constant: everyone is assigned a Flair since birth; the power to do something extraordinary. And then there's Eugene. He's been running around in a secluded forest since birth, training and sparring his ass off. While he can wield a blade better than most at his age, he certainly can't throw a giant boulder using the power of his mind, or turn his skin into diamonds. He has no Flair, no purpose for leveling up his stats, and no idea why General Rizeni Baggardo keeps him confined inside a forest for eighteen years. At least until Lord Pyro—the Craftmaster of Tailiah—unleashes his fury on the forest, searching for a treasure Eugene doesn't even know exists. On a frantic escape for his life, Eugene starts to realize he was a part of something he's been completely oblivious to until now. Along with his companions, Melodi and Azra, he travels the land and unveils the secrets of the world. [The story will be told primarily through the lenses of three main characters, with occasional side character POV chapters. It also draws inspiration from Japanese shounen. So only proceed if you're cool with these aspects.]
