"Our universe grants every soul a twin -- a reflection of themselves -- the kindred spirit -- And no matter where they are or how far away they are from each other -- even if they are in different dimensions, they will always find one another. This is destiny; this is love."

~ ~ ~ ~ ~
The next day was something you wanted to feel normal. You rushed out of your house, just barely getting breakfast in. Normal. You walked with Midoriya to school after waiting five minutes outside his house. Normal. You arrived to your classroom and laid your head on your desk, facing the side to talk to Midoriya before school started. Normal. Uraraka joined in after ten minutes you talking to Midoriya, however you weren't third-wheeling. Not normal, but something you would get used to nevertheless.
Todoroki walked in about ten minutes before the bell was due to ring, and instead of nodding to him in acknowledgment and continuing your conversation with Midoriya and Uraraka, you ignored him completely. He wasn't needed in your life at the moment. You would socialise with him only when necessary.
When Aizawa entered the classroom, you cut off your conversation with Kaminari as you all placed yourselves in your seats. He made a few announcements, at one point mentioning the upcoming sports festival. This caused excitement to rise from the students, and even you were a little bit hyped up.
The sports festival would give you a chance to train and improve your quirk. You had never given yourself a proper chance to do so. Not because you didn't have time, you were just too lazy. Now you had to, so it would be easier to commit.
There was still a few minutes left until the bell was to ring for the next period, so you turned to Midoriya. However, he was already chatting with Uraraka. You didn't mind, but now you didn't have anyone to talk to.
Or, not until a few seconds later after you had those thoughts: "HEY, YOU EMOTIONAL BASTARD."
Did Bakugou really just call you that?
You turned to look at him, saying, "I have a name, Bakugou. You've been using it for about ten years, now. That's a whole decade. Don't start calling me names now."

He had stomped over to you and was now standing in front of your desk. He 'tsk'ed at you before leaning his hip against your desk, folding his arms across his chest. "What the hell is wrong with you and that Half and Half Bastard?"
You chuckled awkwardly, subconsciously scratching your arm. "It's nothing, Bakugou, really. Just more relationship issues. It'll be all good."
"And when will that be?"
His question surprised you. "Why?"
"Because you looked depressed all the time, and it's really bringing the fucking room down. If I need to talk to him, I will. Hell, I'll do it right now—"
"No, Bakugou," you latched onto his wrist, preventing him from marching over to Todoroki, "it's fine. Please, don't worry about anything. We were just playing a silly game and things got a bit out of hand."
You scratched your arm again, mentally growling at yourself. You had wanted to leave all that bullshit behind you for once, and it was just coming back up again.
Bakugou noticed your actions, however you didn't. So when he pointed out that you were scratching your forearm (where the spot of your gold mark was), you were surprised to see that he was right.
A red patch was beginning to form where you were obsessively scratching it, and you pulled your hand away, shaking your head. "I'll be fine. I just want to leave it alone. It's been sending me through a spiral of stress lately, and I just want to go at least a day without having to deal with any of it. So please, Bakugou, leave it alone."
Bakugou placed his palm on the desk, leaning his head down and saying in a low voice so no one else would hear, "You better talk to me about this shit soon, alright?"
You nodded your head, gently tapping his hand and saying, "I will."
He huffed out as a response before punching your arm and turning to leave.
Not just a playful 'you're my bro' punch. An actual physical punch.
"YOU ASSHOLE!" You screamed out, kicking his back harshly as you gripped your throbbing arm where he had hit you.
"WATCH IT, BITCH," he screamed back. "I'LL BLAST YOU SO HARD YOU'LL MEET YOUR FUTURE SELF."

"JOKES ON YOU, YOU LITTLE DICKSTICK, I'D BE ABLE TO LEARN FROM THAT EXPERIENCE, SO FUCK YOU!"
Bakugou was about to retaliate, but you both paused in fear at the interruption, "QUIET!"
Uh oh. Mr Aizawa is mad. You know what that means, ladies and gents.
Dig your own grave, because your death would be more violent if Aizawa had to do it himself.
"BAKUGOU, SIT YOUR ASS DOWN. (L/N), COME WITH ME AFTER CLASS. IT'S TIME WE HAVE A CHAT."
You glared at the blond prick as he smugly smirked at you from his seat, only to get whipped at the back of the neck by Aizawa's scarf. "Don't look too cocky, Bakugou."
The boy would have growled at the teacher if he had not seen the look on his face. He mumbled to himself as he sat straight in his desk, flipping off Kaminari when approached by him.
The bell rang not long after, and you waited for everyone to leave so Aizawa could talk to you. You awkwardly waiting as he stood up from his sleeping bag, leaning his back against the blackboard before saying, "What's the deal between you and Todoroki?"
Ah, SHIT. Here we go again.
You shrugged your shoulders, trying to look as innocent as possible as you said, "Nothing."
"If you think I'm stupid, I'm not. I'm a teacher, not a log."
You couldn't tell the difference anyway.
You just shrugged again and said, "It's just some relationship issues. We'll be over it by the time we have to save the world or whatever anyway."
"Do you think teachers aren't aware of drama that goes on between the students? If all you think I do is sleep when I get in that sleeping bag, you're dead wrong." You gulped as he stared you down. "So do you want to tell me the truth now?"
So much for escaping.
You sighed before explaining everything to him. From how you felt since the beginning (ever since you saw your mark) to your issues with Todoroki and how he was treating this soulmate situation. You explained the game, and even the argument you had the day before. Aizawa listened the whole time, which was kinda nice.
"So half of this problem and the things you're feeling could be a subject of your growing insecurities over the years?" You went to oppose, but he cut you off. "(L/N), based on everything I'm hearing and everything you claimed he said, he hasn't made it clear that he dislikes you, or thinks that you are unfit to be your soulmate."
"But what about the fact that he's treating me like a task?"
"He isn't. As blank and soulless as Todoroki looks, he isn't a robot. He's been preparing to look after you all his life. He didn't prepare to check you off his list and throw you away. He knows that you are bound together, and he knows that it's his job to look after you, as much as it is yours. So let go of your insecurities and stop reading so much into things. And actually talk to him."
"I've tried. It's just ended in arguments."
"No, it's ended in arguments because you got frustrated. Not from him, but from your own thoughts based on what he has said. Stop being such a baby. Talk to him. If not, I'll be forced to sit you in a room together. If this isn't figured out by the end of this week, that is exactly what I will do. This can't get in the way of your studies. Especially with the sports festival coming up."
He picked up his sleeping bag, walking out of the room. He turned to you one last time and said, "I'll be sure to talk to Todoroki later today, and ask his opinions on the matter. Until then, figure out a way to resolve things. Whether it be with him, or yourself."
He left, and you were standing in the classroom, speechless.
You knew you had self-esteem issues, but he didn't need to openly point them out like that.
You knew he was right, but you also knew he didn't understand the situation. Maybe he also knew that. Maybe that's why he was going to talk to Todoroki.
He was right. You needed to stop being such a baby. You needed to resolve things with Todoroki and understand him better.
Until then, it was time for Cooking class, and Lunch Rush would surely bEAT your ass if you were any later.
