"Our universe grants every soul a twin -- a reflection of themselves -- the kindred spirit -- And no matter where they are or how far away they are from each other -- even if they are in different dimensions, they will always find one another. This is destiny; this is love."
- Julie Dillon

You and Todoroki had just bought your lunch and were about to go out on the grass when you realised you had forgotten your phone.
"I'm gonna quickly run back and get my phone from Bakugou. I'll be back quickly." You reassured Todoroki, and he nodded his head, beginning to eat his food already.
You jogged off back to the building, quickly making your way back to the arena seats. However, when you rounded one of the corners on your way there, you bumped into a broad body. You almost fell, but managed to stable yourself and apologised nonstop.
"Oh my goodness, I am so sorry! I should have been looking where I was going, it was so inconsiderate of me to just think I was the only one walking around. I shouldn't be running—"
You hadn't even looked at the person's face yet, but once you heard their voice, you knew you were in deep shit, "(L/N) (Y/N). Soulmate of my son."
Ah, fuck.
You gulped nervously as you hesitantly looked up, your eyes widening as you met eyes with Endeavor. You didn't know if you were supposed to smile to appeal to him or not.
You went with not smiling. He seemed to like things that way. That didn't stop your stutter, though, "He-Hello, sir."
"So you're the one with that metal-bending quirk, correct?"
If only I were in The Last Airbender.
You nodded your head respectfully, confirming his question. "Yes, sir, I am. I would like to formally introduce myself properly." You bowed at a full 90-degree angle, almost as a way to avoid maintaining eye contact. "Hello, sir. My name is (L/N) (Y/N). It's a pleasure to meet you."
"If you think such a simple introduction will make you worthy of my son, you're wrong."
Wow, Todoroki was right. This guy is a dOUCHE–
"Your quirk is weak. You can barely produce anything without needing to pass out afterward. It's pathetic. You stupidly chose copper as a good tool to escape that kid's lightning, which obviously injured your foot and left you at a disadvantage for the rest of that match. Your decision-making is poor, your quirk is useless, and you're foolish if you were to believe that you are suitable for my son, much less the rest of the world."

You didn't want to believe him. You knew he was just an asshole who wanted to use his son and his son's soulmate. You ignored everything he said, trying to block it out before you took any of it to heart.
Glaring, you took a step forward, staring up at him as he towered over you. Ignoring your disadvantage in height, you made sure to muster up a lot of venom in your tone before speaking in a low, dangerous voice, "Listen. If I didn't know how pathetic you really are as a father, I'd take your word for it. I know you just want to use your own son to create some powerful being, but that's far away from happening.
"I know how pathetic my quirk is. But you wanna know why it's pathetic? It's pathetic because I haven't trained it once in my life. So, buddy, I suggest you hold your goddamn tongue before saying those words, because when I take that beautiful second-place throne of yours, you're going to have to deal with how wrong you are.
"And on being good enough for the world: Just know that fate is what decides these soulmates. Whatever powerful being is up there has clearly chosen both me and your son for a reason. Just because you forced training onto your child since he was just a toddler doesn't make him the strongest being in the world. If I trained as much as him from that age, I'd be just as strong.
"He is stronger than everyone else because you FORCED him to work his ass off. You forced emotional trauma onto him, as well as mental and physical. You are a horrible man, and it always surprises me when I'm reminded that you're our number two hero. However, you might want to work on your attitude before assuming you're so great. Because I'll tell you what: Just because you're the number two hero, doesn't mean you're the favourite.
"Stay the hell away from Todoroki. Stay the hell away from me. Stay the hell away from that whole family. I know you won't do that, but it's the only threat I could think of right now.
His glare depended before he said, "You seem to be more compatible with that lightning kid rather than my son."

You frowned in confusion. Whot? "I'm sorry?"
"He seems to like you a lot. And by the looks of things, you seem to get along with him rather. . . Well."
You were going to punch this guy's face to knock him out of whatever nonsense mindset he had going on in his mind. What did he mean that Kaminari liked you? You were loyal to Todoroki. You liked him maybe a bit too much. So why would he think you and Kaminari would be a good match?
Sighing, you shut your eyes for a moment, stopping your urge to scream at him. Breathing in deeply, you opened your eyes and looked directly up at him before saying, "It's really not my place to say this, seeming as I'm only basing my information on one source, but I'm going to say it anyway: You're a pretty shit father."
Stepping back, you bowed respectfully before saying, "Excuse me."
Walking past him, you acted like you were walking at a normal pace. As you turned the corner, you discretely checked behind your shoulder before sprinting away, trying to get away from him as soon as possible.
HOLYSHITHOLYSHITHOLYSHITHLYFA*Q!#)!$)*RGW$)EOH*)FQ#R)* WHAT THE FRICK WAS THAT WHERE DID THAT COME FROM WHERE DID THAT GO WHERE DID THAT COME FROM COTTON EYE JOE–
You hadn't even realised that you were now at the seats at the arena, and you quickly sprinted up the stairs, ignoring the explosions coming from the ring. You noticed the red hair and the unnecessary shouting, only assuming that Bakugou and Kirishima were now D-D-D-D D-D-D-D-DUUUEEELing.
Quickly grabbing your phone, you ran back downstairs, rushing back to Todoroki. You only hoped that you wouldn't bump into his father. However, it's not like you could've.
Because somehow you managed to sprint a five-minute walk in five seconds.
Todoroki stared up at you in utter shock, looking over at you in your ruffled mess. "(Y-Y/N). . . Are you okay?"
You blinked, shaking your head to rid of your own shock before tidying yourself up and sitting down next to him. "Uh, yeah. Yeah, I'm fine."
"You didn't get your phone." He said, staring down at the device in your hand.
Frowning, you adjusted yourself on the ground so you were comfortable before saying, "Yes, I did. What do you think I'm holding?"
"That's not your case, though."
You froze for a moment before looking down at the phone, recognising the custom made green and orange case. You groaned, realising you had mistakenly grabbed Bakugou's phone in your panic-fuelled sprint.
Todoroki looked at you properly, noticing your creased brows. "Are you sure you're okay?"
For a moment, you had wanted to just not tell him. But you knew his father would approach him eventually, so you had decided against it. "I had a little bump-in with your father."
You saw Todoroki straighten up, and he quickly grabbed your hands, holding them tight between his as he looked at you intensely, "Are you okay? What did he say? Do I need to talk to him? I think I'm gonna talk to him–"
"No! Todoroki," you gently pulled him back down from where he had stood up, probably ready to throw down with his father, "it's okay. It's fine. I basically lectured him."
Todoroki blinked at you, a hint of surprise hidden in his gaze. "What did you say?"
You waved your hands dismissively, unlocking Bakugou's phone (having already known his code) and going into his web searcher. "We don't need to talk about that. It's fine, let's just play this game. We don't have too much time left, so we'll probably only have enough time for five or so rounds."
Todoroki hesitated, wanting to know what you told his father, knowing you could have quite a mouth when you wanted to. However, he shook his head slightly and focused on what was on your phone, reading it out loud:
"Okay. What are the odds that you would make sexual advances on a stranger?"
"LE-LET'S NOT DO THAT ONE, HEY?"
