"Our universe grants every soul a twin -- a reflection of themselves -- the kindred spirit -- And no matter where they are or how far away they are from each other -- even if they are in different dimensions, they will always find one another. This is destiny; this is love."
- Julie Dillon
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
You knew Todoroki was gonna beat your ass from the second you walked up on that platform. He literally looked like he was gonna kill you, and you were really concerned you did something wrong.
He stood at the opposite end of the arena at you, glaring at you with all his might (hahaaaaaaa). Was he gonna kill you? It looked like it.
"YEEEAAAAAH, (Y/N)! KICK HIS ASS!"
"OI, SHUT IT, DUNCE FACE!"
You turned around to look at your supportive friend cheering you on. Instead of smiling and joking back as you usually would, you couldn't help but think about what Bakugou said to you (who had just punched the kid in the face for being so loud).
Sighing, you turned back around, looking at your soulmate again. However, he was no longer staring at you, but behind you. You frowned, confused as hell. Who was he looking at? His father was behind him.
You nearly gasped dramatically when you realised. He was staring at Kaminari, wasn't he?
'Wait. . .' you thought, 'was he the one I heard at the door? I mean, no one was there, but I swear. . .'
He looked back at you, noticing your furrowed eyebrows. He didn't say anything, however his features did soften up a little bit. You were hoping he didn't overhear your conversation with Bakugou about Kaminari. You didn't know if he was just really intensely preparing himself, or if he was actually mad.
You were leaning more towards the latter.
You hadn't realised that Present Mic was counting down until he got to one, and the loud "GOOOOOOO!" scared the shit out of you, putting you at a disadvantage right from the start.
Todoroki knew you were distracted, and immediately took advantage of it. Swinging his hand up, a smooth path of ice zoomed across the ground toward you. Once it got under your feet, you slipped, still a little out of sorts.
However, that's what knocked you out of your trance.
You quickly got back up, sliding off the ice and onto proper ground before bringing up a wall in front of Todoroki. You cursed yourself for using the same trick over and over again.
Todoroki easily skated (motherfucker SKATED) around your wall before he threw flames at you (FLAMES), obviously trying to scare you off rather than hit you with them.
But you weren't no bitch.
You brought up a wall of steel in front and above you, before forcefully pushing it toward him. You eased off a little before it hit him, and at that point, you, him, Dadzawa, Uncle Mic, and the whole arena knew what you were both doing.
You were trying to avoid hurting each other.
"You guys will need to land a few hits on each other to win the fight." Aizawa said through the speaker, and you glared up at him in his protective fortress.
"Or we could win the fight peacefully!" You shouted.

"But that wouldn't be interesting."
Asshole.
You sighed. He had a point. You knew Todoroki and you wouldn't play this game out just by trying to drive each other out of bounds.
You both were competitive as hell.
So with a new mindset, you created another shield-thingo before sending it toward him, never pulling back. Catching him off guard, it hit him square on, sending him backward. He fell over, not hesitating to stand back up.
He looked at you with a competitive gaze before saying something you didn't hear whatsoever. Cupping your ear, indicating you couldn't hear him, you shouted, "WHAT?!"
He deadpanned.
You shrugged your shoulders before trying to think up something to use. You realised you needed to be a bit more creative with your weapons.
You gasped as sparkles filled your eyes when you thought of something.
What if you created a sick ass scooter to skate around on?!
Giggling, you concentrated, closing your eyes. The handlebars, the wheels (they would be metal, but the would still work, right?), the stand, the brakes.
When you opened your eyes again, you were ready for greatness.
All the parts you thought of were there. Just unassembled.
You huffed out, annoyed. "Piece-of-shit quirk—"
You were interrupted when you were kicked in the stomach.
The little shit really just KICKED YOUR STOMACH.
Wheezing, you tried to fight off Todoroki as much as you could. However, he was already pushing you to the ground, straddling your hips. Squirming as much as possible, your dumbass didn't think to use the training he taught you.
Quickly placing your feet on the ground, you pushed up with your hips. Flipping him over, you tried to place your ClAsSiC magnetic handcuffs to his wrists ('cause you were in a kinky mood), however he gripped onto your forearms quicker than you could say 'so no head'.
You pulled away, getting up and stepping away from him. Before you could even blink, ice headed your way. Panicking once again, the metal you used wasn't even formed into anything. It just came out as some sort of burst. Due to the motion of how you swung your hands up to protect yourself, both the ice and the copper twisted upward above the two of you.
You heard the whole audience gasp, some even swearing in shock. Rubbing your arms, you looked over at them, sporting Bakugou. He gestured to something above you. Your eyes widened in realisation. There wasn't any shade above you before. As far as you knew, you were standing in the sun.
Looking up, your heart stopped in its track.
It looked so. . . Scary.
Your copper and Todoroki's ice had fused together toward the sky, fanning out a few times into sharp spikes before finally ending in the sky the same way: fanned out into giant spikes, some even curving over to point at the audience.
You shuddered, but not because of the cold. Why did it look so. . . Dangerous?
You didn't have time to think about that before you heard the flapping of flames hitting the structure. You looked up and saw the orange tinge behind it, feeling water drip onto your arms and face.
Wait, was he trying to melt it?
Thinking back to a chemistry lesson you once had, you quickly ran around the thing, spotting him on the other side. You ran over and tackled him to the ground, successfully stopping his actions. Before you had a chance to really say anything about the possible outcome of his actions, he scrambled off of you and grabbed your wrists. Twisting you into a choke hold, he held you against him, trying to restrict your movement as much as possible.

It was at this moment you knew: He taught you everything you knew, but he didn't teach you everything he knew.
Cursing urgently in your head, you tried to think of any movie action scene that could get you out of your situation.
You were thinking about pulling a Black Widow move, but you hadn't trained for that kind of complexity.
You couldn't threaten him with a knife. He knew you wouldn't hurt him. Not only that, but the arm that wasn't choking you was used to grip onto your wrists, stopping you from being able to do anything against him.
Looking around in panic when you heard Present Mic begin to count down, you noticed the ice-metal structure was in arm's reach of you.
Meaning it was in leg's reach.
Gritting your teeth once realising that you had no experience in this move whatsoever, you just went for it, pressing your foot against the wall. Pushing against Todoroki, you ran up that goddamn thing as fast as you could so you wouldn't slip as easily.
You didn't stop once you were up high enough. Kicking off it, you flipped over Todoroki. His hold on you caused him to stumble backward. Once you landed, you used all your strength to grip on his arm that was holding you and flip him over.
You were successful.
Letting go of him, he hit the ground face down with a loud thud. Your kickass move sent the crowd in a frenzy.
As much as you wanted to collect the roses and bras being thrown at you, you still needed to defeat Todoroki, who was standing up faster than you liked. You ignored the dull ache in your knees and face, knowing it was Todoroki's pain.
He must have landed hard for it to be that painful.
You shook yourself out of your thoughts once seeing his flames start back up again. They were much bigger than they were earlier. He threw them right at you, seeming to not understand that you were in front of that copper and ice wall.
However, like an idiot, you panicked and sent another copper wall up, already seeing it melt before you. Quickly throwing it behind you to make a different metal barrier, you had only realised your actions a fraction of a second after you did it.
If that melted copper melted into the middle of that ice, due to it being such a good heat conductor, it could flash to steam so quickly that it could become. . .
Explosive, I guess you could say.
Your eyes widened when you watched the copper melt right into the ice-copper structure. Thinking quickly (while making sure you didn't use copper again), you put up a wall in front of you and Todoroki and around the arena as much as possible.
Noticing Cementoss have the same idea about what was going to happen, he put up proper walls around the arena and in front of you.
The noise of the explosion wasn't really ongoing. It was a sudden loud pop as water, molten copper and ice was sent flying everywhere, thankfully getting caught in Cementoss' walls.
Bless that man otherwise you guys would of had a few ambulance trucks on your hands. Recovery Girl would of had a heart attack.
The sudden pop shocked the audience, as well as you and Todoroki, however the boy recovered much quicker than you did. Noticing you were right on the edge of the boundary line, you barely got time to shuffle up before he gently pushed your shoulder, sending you back again.
Flailing your arms, you only got a grip onto Todoroki's hand when he grabbed yours. You were now hanging dangerously off the edge of the line, staring at your soulmate hardcore. "Todoroki, don't do it."
"I have to, (Y/N)." He said, teasingly easing off his grip on you.
"No you don't. We can pull a Hunger Games. We both try to eat poisonous berries so both of us lose, but then they stop us because they need a victor."
"They're gonna stop anyone who tries to eat something that is poison to the human body."
"They don't try to stop people from drinking."
". . ."
". . ."
". . . You have a point."
You could still feel his grip slipping, so you dramatically grabbed onto his arms, whispering as you gazed soulfully into his eyes. "Never let go, Rose."
He stared at you blankly for a moment, not saying anything. You had hope.
But then he threw that all away.
"I have to, Jack."
He let go of you, pushing your shoulder again so you would properly fall. You scream dramatically before landing on the ground.
Out of bounds.
The horn blared, concluding the end of the match, and the crowd roared. You heard footsteps approach as you stood back up, stretching out your back and dusting your ass off.
You looked up, seeing Todoroki standing only a few inches away. "Oh, hi, Mark."
"That was a really good match." He said, looking down at you. You chuckled before agreeing with him.
"But dude," you said, throwing your hands around. "I didn't know you could quote Titanic. Is there anything else you've seen? Have you seen any vines lately? Do you quote them when you're alone in your room? Have you ever back-chatted your dad with them? OH MY GOD, DO YOU THINK WE COULD START QUOTING THEM TOGETH—"
You were cut off to the feeling of Todoroki's lips on yours.
You couldn't hear the crowd anymore. All you could concentrate on was the feeling off his warm hand against your cheek, tilting your head up. His cold hand slowly making its way to your waist, gently rubbing its thumb against your skin. The way his hair felt when you played with it, your hands around the back of his neck.
It was perfect.
But not until Bakugou screamed from the bleachers, "GET A ROOM, YOU HORNY SHITS."
Pulling away from Todoroki, you squared up to Bakugou. "What the FUCK is up, Kyle—"
