"Our universe grants every soul a twin -- a reflection of themselves -- the kindred spirit -- And no matter where they are or how far away they are from each other -- even if they are in different dimensions, they will always find one another. This is destiny; this is love."
- Julie Dillon

The bell had rung for lunch, and while everyone excitedly left the classroom, relieved they would be able to feel their asses again, you paused where you were, watching Midoriya leave the classroom.
It wasn't like you could be upset about the fact that he didn't tell you. You two had grown apart. But you still were a little bit upset over the fact that he never told you the truth when you questioned his sudden growth.
Sighing, you rubbed an annoyed hand over your face. It wasn't your business. If it was a big enough secret that he didn't want to tell you, then you respected that.
You felt like they needed to know you knew, though.
Packing up your bag, you told Todoroki you were going to talk to a teacher. He was hesitant to leave you. He had definitely eased up after a while in terms of sticking by your side all the time. However, he hated the idea of leaving you alone after school. He would walk you back to the Bakugous, and if no one was home (there usually was someone there), he would wait with you until someone did.
You had explained to him that you could just walk back with Bakugou, but he never liked that idea and would grab your wrist and rush off before you had a chance to ask. You had never understood that.
When you told Todoroki you were going to visit a teacher, it took a few seconds of hesitation before he nodded his head. Smiling at him, you said, "I'll be okay. I'll just be talking to All Might."
He sighed slightly, looking directly into your eyes for a moment. Finally, he said, "Okay."
Smiling, you leaned in and kissed his cheek, causing him to look down and blush. Gently squeezing his hand, you gave him a smile in an attempt to reassure him. He smiled slightly back, and you nodded your head and left the classroom, not before giving him one more reassuring grin.
Turning around, you breathed in deeply like the dramatic piece of royalty you were before walking toward the staffroom. Once you got there, you were about to knock on the door before you heard Bakugou yelling.
You didn't need to strain to hear, so you assumed they weren't being very discreet and it wasn't too important.
Boy, did you need to stop making so many assumptions.
You knocked and opened the door, pausing in your steps immediately after seeing what was before you.

Small Might, Midoriya and Bakugou were in the room, seeming to be having a very important discussion. Based on all the panicked looks they gave you, especially Midoriya and All Might, you realised you probably should've waited for them to say 'come in' before just walking in.
You all remained silent, really only speaking with your eyes. Giving confused looks at Bakugou, him giving you 'what the fuck' looks back, Midoriya trading 'what the hell do we do' looks with All Might.
Before Midoriya squeaked out a panicked, "OH NO, SHE KNOWS!"
You blinked, surprised at the volume. You weren't entirely sure what he was talking about. That didn't stop you from acting like you knew though, "Yeah, that's right. I know. And I've known for ages. I've known longer than you could've ever thought. I've known before you even knew."
"(Y/N)-CHAN, YOU HAVE TO KEEP THIS A SECRET," Midoriya said, and in a panicked state, shook your shoulders aggressively. "NO ONE CAN KNOW THAT I'M ALL MIGHT'S SUCCESSOR."
Your eyebrows raised in surprise. Well that was easier than you thought. You were glad you closed the door behind you. Midoriya would've outed himself. Mumbling, you said, "Well I didn't know for sure, but thank you for confirming."
You saw All Might slowly sink in his seat and Bakugou facepalm, and you waved your hands, shaking your head. "Oh, don't worry. I had gotten a strong suspicion earlier. About a week ago."
It took you a lot of guts to admit that it took you that long to figure out that Midoriya had All Might's quirk. Based on the look Bakugou was giving you, he had already figured it out YONKS ago.
"That's why I came over here, actually," you said, gently prying off Midoriya's hands from your shoulders. "I came to let you know that I know. Thought it would be important to tell you. Also, you guys might wanna be more quiet. I'm assuming before I walked in that you were talking about Midoriya's quirk?"
They nodded their head in return, and you said, "Then you need to be more discreet. I heard Bakugou behind the door."
"Whatever," Bakugou said, standing up. "I'm going to go eat. See you assholes never."
"See you in class, Thotski," you said, and before he had a chance to blast you in the face, you shut the door after him. All you heard were angry shouts from the other side, causing you to chuckle. Turning back to All Might (his small stature was something you were still getting used to), you said, "That's not all I wanted to mention though. Do you know where Mr Aizawa is, sir?"
"When I last saw him, he was under his desk in his sleeping bag," All Might replied.
Nodding, you thanked him, giving Midoriya an awkward glance before leaving and shutting the door behind you. Huffing, you made your way to your homeroom teacher's desk, noticing exactly what All Might described. He must have sensed you approaching, because he, without opening his eyes, said, "Yes, (L/N)?"

"Do I really come here that often?"
Aizawa lazily opened his eyes, looking up at you before mumbling, "No, Bakugou was cursing you out as he was leaving."
You chuckled half-heartedly, your nerves building up as you worked yourself up to ask what you wanted to ask him. "I just wanted to ask you something. It's pretty important."
Sensing your uneasiness, he sat up (still in his sleeping bag, however), and asked, "What is it?"
"How did the station react when I killed those two people?"
Aizawa stood up this time, leaning back against his desk. "(L/N), they didn't die."
Your head snapped up to look at him directly in the eyes, your stare hard, "What? Yes, they did. The plane blew up."
"But not before they got out," he said. "They did receive a few burns and some broken bones. But they're recovering just fine."
You felt relief flood your entire body, so much so that you found yourself sitting on the ground, your head in your hands. Your teacher crouched in front of you, watching you. Without looking at him, afraid you'll just break down, you let out shakily, "And-And no one decided to tell me this?"
"You've been kind of swamped with other things," he said quietly, finally moving to sit down in front of you, his legs crossed. "Thought it would be a good idea to let you know once things have settled down a bit."
You couldn't help but let out the passive aggressive comment, "Oh, and a grand idea that was. I've only been thinking about it for centuries."
"I know, I'm sorry."
You both sat in silence for a while, listening to the chatter from out in the corridor. The noise had calmed you down a bit. You began to think about your aunt. About what she had done. She had helped so many people, acting as a nurse, as an aunt, as a mother.
"She never got to meet her soulmate," you blurted out in a small mutter, and Aizawa looked at you.
"What was that?"
"She never got to meet her soulmate," you repeated, eyes flickering back and forth between your shoes. You saw Aizawa stiffen by your side, and you found yourself frowning as you looked at him. "Are you okay?"
He cleared his throat slightly, nodding his head. "It is quite upsetting. Her soulmate would be devastated."
"More than that," you said, fiddling with your shirt button. "They'd feel a complete snap. You know, as if their source of life just cut off completely. I can't imagine that. Walking around one day and then just feeling that. Knowing what that could mean. Or not knowing and having to find out later on."
Aizawa was silent for a bit, and you were almost going to say something upon noticing his behaviour, but he beat you to it, "Tell me about her. Was she excited about meeting her soulmate?"
You chuckled when hundreds of memories piled in your head, each showing your aunt talking enthusiastically about the idea of her soulmate. You explained to your teacher how enthralled she would be from the concept of a soulmate. How she would finally be able to see the end of her red string of fate.
Although not visible, she was one of those people who had a red string connect to their soulmate at all times. You would find her sitting in the living room just looking at it (at the time it looked absolutely insane to you, because all she had been doing was staring at nothing).
She would always fantasise different scenarios of how she would meet her soulmate. What her soulmate would be like. Rich, poor, fit, unfit, polite, a dickhead; she didn't care. She always appreciated the connection. She knew, she just knew, that fate would bring her to love her soulmate, just as it would lead her to them.
But now she couldn't. After spending all her life willing to love her soulmate unconditionally, she was ripped of that chance. And her soulmate. Discovering they had no soulmate anymore. Knowing that they were gone.
Aizawa was now very silent after you had said all of that to him. Which made you very concerned. "Aizawa-sensei. . . Are you o—"
"SHOUTA AIZAWAAAAAA!!!!!!" Present Mic came barging into the room. "LET'S GET TO TEACHIIIIINNNNG!!"
You looked back at your homeroom teacher, and he blinked, glancing at his best friend before nodding his head. Looking back at you, he nodded his head toward the door, "You should get to class. Don't want Todoroki freaking out."
You hesitantly nodded and stood up with him. He turned, but before doing so, placed a hand on your head, as if to pat it, and said, "Feel free to come and see me again if you need to chat."
Although it brought you strong comfort after he told you that, you were still very concerned. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine," he said. "Now get to class before I expel you."
Once you reached the doorway, you turned back one last time, your frown deepening as you watched him ignore his friend's own concerned questions.
Turning and leaving, you walked back to your classroom in deep thought. All of your talk about soulmates being cut off seemed to really effect him.
