《I Died and Got Summoned to Another World as a WHAT?!?!》Ep. 747 The Voyage Begins Part 5

"No, it's not that I didn't think. It's just that I knew exactly where these diamonds were and didn't want to waste time looking for others. Besides, you are the one who told me to fix the problems I created!"
Krenocia says "You can't handle the maker! You can come back and fix things later when you are stronger! No matter what, I don't want you risking your life!"
"The ship is nearing completion. Once it is done I will be sailing home and don't plan to ever return here. How am I supposed to clean up my mess later? I still have the demons to worry about!"
Before Krenocia can answer me the undead break through the wall and I go back to fighting. Luckily, the undead only broke the middle of the wall so for now it is acting as a choke point. This allows me to kill the undead without being pushed back, at least for the moment.
Which is pretty much perfect for me since I want to gather another hundred energy and try fixing my soul. Origin Energy is pretty much the only thing I can think of that might heal the missing chunk. If that doesn't work I will pretty much just have to wait for it to heal over time.
Although, it might heal if I level up my soul some more, but that is just a guess. If the energy can heal it then I may as well just heal it now since I am here. Besides, the more energy I can manage to steal from the maker the better.
After all, Krenocia is right, I am not strong enough to fight the maker right now. However, if I do have to come back later and deal with her, the weaker she is the better. So I continue beating down the undead as they come through the gap in the wall.

Eventually the hole widens and more undead are able to attack me at once. It gets to the point that they are once again pushing me back towards the exit. Luckily, there is still a decent distance before I will be forced outside.
What worries me is that I haven't seen a single death knight since this started. If the maker really wanted to push me back, using the death knights would work better. Not to mention they would be doing a lot more damage to me as they pushed me.
So far I have only had to use a divine healing spell once, nothing to worry about. Especially since restoring my divine power shouldn't be dangerous any more. If it wasn't for the undead T-rex waiting behind me I could keep this up for hours.
Either the maker is underestimating me, or I haven't seen all of the plan yet. More surprises could certainly be waiting for me, but if so they are not in my detection range. Just to be sure, every few minutes I send a pulse of mana out in every direction.
Once I again pass one hundred Origin Energy I raise another wall of rock to block the undead. Then I enter meditation and attempt to direct the energy into the area of my soul with the missing chunk. It works, before I couldn't go above one hundred and fifty Soul Hp, but now I am at one hundred and sixty.
From that I am guessing that if I can gather and use four hundred more energy my soul will be repaired. Killing four hundred more undead shouldn't be too hard, but I need to do it before they push me outside. I can feel that Krenocia has been watching me this whole time, but she has stayed quiet.
She probably doesn't want to distract me from the fight, or she is still thinking about what I said. Either way, since I have a few seconds of quiet, I spread out my mana looking for an escape route. Unfortunately, I can't detect any other open spaces near the lava tube.

I also need to keep in mind that I will need Origin Energy to make more diamonds. In fact, I should probably do that before I try to repair my soul more, just in case. If the maker realizes that her plan isn't working she may withdraw the undead.
While that would allow me to harvest more diamonds, it would also stop me from gathering energy. For now I guess I will just keep killing her undead and see what happens. So, when the wall starts crumbling I go back to killing the undead as fast as I can.
I use mana to add more rock to the sides of the wall to make the choke point last longer. If I can just keep killing undead without being pushed back the maker might change her plan. I want to force her to make a different move if I can, just to see how she thinks.
The more I learn about her the better my chances of dealing with her at some point. From what I have seen so far I am guessing her strength should be about on par with the spider queen. The main difference being the Origin Energy, which makes me wonder which of them is older.
Maybe if the spider queen is of similar age I could also get Origin Energy from her? If so, that would definitely prove useful, but I have to wait to find out. When I get back I will try to remember to kill a spider with the warhammer and see what happens.
Reinforcing the walls works well and I am able to hold my position while killing. After I have killed over fifty undead without moving, the undead suddenly retreat. This tells me that the maker is watching and that me stealing energy bothers her.
Luckily, the undead are slow, so I am able to chase after them and keep killing them. Of course, I am prepared for them to suddenly turn around and attack again. However, they don't turn back, they just keep retreating no matter how many I kill.
After a bit I reach the diamonds again, but since I don't have a hundred energy yet I ignore them. Instead I keep chasing down and killing the undead for their energy. Even once I reach a hundred energy I keep following the undead out of curiosity.
When I finally reach the main shaft of the volcano I see the undead crawling down the walls. At that point I stop chasing them, I have no plan to go back down to the island. I don't even want to enter the main shaft if I don't have to, so I turn back.
I run back to the area with the diamonds and start stripping them off the walls as fast as I can. If I can get enough then I won't have to waste any Origin Energy making more. The problem is, I don't really know how many diamonds I am going to need.
This time the maker leaves me alone, so I collect every single diamond in the lava tube. While I am glad to be able to harvest them all, the quiet is getting a little creepy. Somehow I doubt the maker has given up, she must be planning something.
"Krenocia, I don't suppose you can see what the maker is doing?"
Krenocia says "No, all I can see is you and a small area around you. The rest of the island is shrouded in darkness."

[NOTE: Ok since I am not able to bring my depressed ass to writing regularly, chapters come when they come. I can't guarantee anything, but I'll try to make chapters more frequent. Btw. In my opinion, my writing gets better after like chapter 6, so I recommend reading at least this far.]
