"I'm ready to go in", Karl said, fixing his collar as he came into the room.
Sapnap looked up from the monitors George was working on and for a second he just started at him breathlessly. Eyes wandering over the lavender suit with the white collar shirt that had the first two buttons undone.
Until Dream nudged him and nodded towards the box on the table.
"Oh, right", Sapnap said and picked it up, "We have one thing left."
Karl looked over, almost disinterested, as Sapnap opened the box showing off a gold necklace. "It's a tracker, just in case we loose sight of you on the cameras. If we loose sight and can't reach you via a call within five minutes we'll come and get you out", Sapnap said and Karl smirked. "This is not my first rodeo, pretty boy.", he replied and took the necklace, putting it on, "George, you're all set up?" "Yeah, I have an eye on everything go on in", he said and with his gaze passing Sapnaps for a second he winked at him and then left towards the casino on the bottom floor.
"Is he always like that?", Sapnap asked and Dream shrugged. "Like what?"
"So pretty and confident", Sapnap specified and looked at the closed door, fiddling with the box that had held the necklace until a few seconds ago. "I know you have a crush on him, but can we concentrate now?", Dream asked and Sapnap walked up to them. "I've been assigned to this team two weeks ago, I don't think I caught feelings that quick" "And yeah you're falling for him like a bullet hits concrete", George mumbled as he pulled up the camera view for the entrance.
Sapnap shook his head, walked over to a suitcase, reminded to get a new magazine for his revolver. "There he is", Dream said, looking at his watch, "Let's see how long this'll take."
They watched the cameras for hours, listened in on a few chats of Karl and multiple people on poker tables.
Sapnap was fuming with jealousy when Karl flirted with two guys playing texas hold'em and being a bit too polite.
All when Karl suddenly disappeared from their view, George skipped through all the cameras and Dream just wanted to reach for his phone, when Sapnap stopped him.
"If they took him to the back rooms it won't be safe if we call, we change into suits and go in, George you call back up."

They agreed and while Dream and Sapnap got ready, George called back up. They left, Sapnap leading and downstairs he said to Dream. "Let's split off, I'll search the back and you distract the guards"
Dream nodded and their plan was quickly executed.
Sapnap sneaked into a corridor that was labeled as staff only, found an entire new layer to this whole gambling rink they had already suspected.
And then, suddenly he walked past a door and heard muffled cries from the other side.
His heart sank, he listened closely.
"And when you think you can just walk in here as a cop, you're very wrong", he suddenly heard and then a gun clicking.
In a quick motion he busted the door open and hit the person opposite of Karl onto the back of his head with the back of his gun.
He fell to the ground and to his relief there were no other guards to accompany whoever he had just hit unconscious.
Karl looked up at him with panicked and teary eyes, mouth taped close and hands tied together. Sapnap quickly closed the door and kneeled down to him, pulled off the tape and undid the ties.
Karl was shaking and sobbing, as he leaned against Sapnaps body. "Hey, it's okay. It's okay, I'm here.", he said and held him for a moment. "He spiked my drink", Karl sobbed, "Where are we?" "Still in the same place, George already called back up, Dream is here too. Don't worry, we have it handled.", Sapnap said, "Are you dizzy, or anything like that? Are you okay?" "My head hurts really bad", Karl replied, breathing quickly and panicked and as Sapnap looked at him closely, he saw a blue circle slowly forming around Karls eye, a red mark on his cheek.
He gently caressed the spots with gentle hands, as he said: "I'll get you out of here. Can you stand on your own?" "I can try, but everything feels numb", Karl replied and Sapnap nodded, slowly helped him up, quickly realizing there was no way Karl would walk out of here without anyone noticing that something was wrong.
He pulled him against his chest to stabilize him and then he pressed a button on his watch. "George, we need a back up now, Karl needs to get out of here asap.", he said and then George asking: "We'll raid the place in twenty seconds, back up is just pulling up."

"Call an ambulance too, they gave Karl something and he's not feeling good", he said and suddenly felt Karl sinking against his chest. He nudged him, saw him slipping away from consciousness slowly. "Karl, stay with me", he said and then he hissed at George, "Make it quick" "On it"
Then Sapnap looked back at Karl.
"Tell me what you wanna do tonight", he said, hoping to keep Karl from slipping away from consciousness. "Sleep", he mumbled, head leaning against Sapnaps shoulder, "'m so tired" "Okay and what's your favorite color?" "Purple", Karl giggled. "Your favorite thing?" "You, idiot", he mumbled as if it had been obvious and stunned Sapnap looked at him. "You like me?" "I do", Karl mumbled and then he suddenly went limp.
Sapnap caught him, heard the crashing of things outside, then an officer opening the door. Sapnap picked Karl up and carried him outside under the lead of his colleague.
The ambulance was outside and quickly they took care of Karl. "Is he gonna be okay?", Sapnap asked and the medic nodded without looking up. "They gave him a high dose of melatonin, we'll work against that and then he'll be up again pretty quickly."
Sapnap sighed in relief and nodded.
"Okay", he said and after they had finished their work, he sat down next to Karl and held his hand. Karl liked him. He couldn't help but feel special. Karl would usually only be sassy with him and knowing he singled him out not because he disliked him, but because he probably didn't know how else to act around him made him a little happy.
It took a while until Karl woke up, so long in fact, that they brought him into the hospital.
Sapnap didn't leave his side, eventually fell asleep with his head on the edge of Karls bed. He woke up when he suddenly felt someone ruffling his hair gently.
He looked up, saw Karl shyly pulling his hand away. "Sorry", he mumbled, but Sapnap took his hand and put it back on his head.
"Don't stop, that feels good", he mumbled and saw Karl smile. "Thank you for getting me out of there, I don't know what would've happened if you wouldn't have found me", he then said and Sapnap pressed his lips together. "I'm glad we don't have to think about the answer to that question", he said softly and then he moved closer to Karls lips, "I'm so glad that you're okay"
Karl gently touched his cheeks, leaned his forehead against Sapnaps. "I told you, that I liked you, didn't I?" "Yeah, you did" "I knew it, you'd never be this bold if you wouldn't have known", Karl teased him and Sapnap smirked. "If I could I'd press you up against a wall to show you how bold I can be, darling", he whispered and Karl chuckled.
"Yeah?", he asked quietly, "Then why can't you pin me down on this bed and show me how bold you are?"
Sapnap gingerly reached for his chin, thumb dragging gently across his bottom lip.
"Because I want this first kiss to be sweet, we can make out any day, but this first kiss? I never get the chance back to make you feel like the most perfect person in the entire universe", he whispered and Karls gaze softened, his heart jumping in his chest.
Nervously he looked down and a little, shy smile tugged on his lips.
"I think that was very bold", Karl mumbled and Sapnap smiled. "Are you shy now?"
"No, no I'm not" "There's no need to be shy, Karl", Sapnap whispered and Karl blushed.
"Are you gonna kiss me or will you just stare at me?" "You want me to kiss you? That's so cute", Sapnap whispered and Karl blushed an even darker shade of red, felt that smile on his lips that showed just how much he enjoyed Sapnap teasing him, paying attention to him.
"I adore you, Karl Jacobs", Sapnap whispered, before leaning in so close Karl gasped softly, anticipation tingling on his skin every second Sapnaps lips weren't touching his. "Kiss me already", he whispered and then, gently and careful Sapnap closed the distance, kissing him once, twice and then a third time, before slowly pulling away. "Was that good?", he asked and Karl, who seemed like he couldn't get a word out, just pulled him in of another kiss.
