《Hollywood King》Chapter 260 | Something else~

Three weeks later.
Ian walked out of his mansion, fully prepared in a navy blue suit—his personal favourite colour.
It was a big day for him and the entire company. After weeks and weeks of preparation, the OTT platform he had been working on and dreaming of for a long time was finally ready to open. In Ian’s terms, the platform that was under Will and Gar basically gets reopened under a new name and new terms and conditions on both ends of the consumers and the company.
In the few months and weeks that passed, Ian’s focus diverted to the OTT platform as well as Resident Evil.
Thus, the time had come to finally reveal the OTT platform to the world. Based on his calculations and taking the trends into consideration, based on marketing and everything, he was sure that he could make enough profits to invest in more movies, and maybe open subsidiaries to Renner's Studio which is already hitting it big in the industry with many box office hits.
He walked outside and got in his SUV.
Larry Summers sat in the front seat—Ian’s driver for a very long time.
“Larry, should we go?” Ian asked without a beat.
For the night, Raelynn attended the party with Niko, and Ian was left to attend alone. But in his defense, even he thought that it was for the best.
As the night was really special for Ian, Raelynn thought of giving him space to enjoy his success.
As Larry started driving, from the rearview mirror, he saw Ian’s eyes too focused on the road, which seemed as if he was having a lot on his mind. Larry got concerned as he saw his boss thinking a lot—but again, it was none of his business.
The car took turns and reached where they were supposed to be. It was night, yet Ian felt as if his entire day just started.
As he got closer to the place, a nervous feeling went through his veins.
He couldn’t believe it, but it was true. Ian was feeling quite nervous as the car got closer and closer until they were in front of the hotel.
It was a beautiful spot. Around the hotel, there were trees. Simply, it was beautiful. After all the chaos of the city, all the constant yelling, and shouting in the city, Ian thought and decided on doing the opening ceremony in a place that would be quiet and yet pleasing to the eyes and media.

From the shutter next to him, he saw the people, celebrities, reporters, and cameramen with their own equipment standing in front of the red carpet.
Ian didn’t get out of the car straight away. He took a moment to absorb it all in. While he was watching them, it all hit him.
This wasn’t the first time he’d be facing the entire world in one place, and this wouldn’t be the last time either. This was his life, and this would be his life for some more time. Although he always gets the sorts of thoughts that’d make him rethink the purpose of his life, this time, it felt different.
He felt as if he was truly closer to what he really wanted to achieve. Although there were so many movies, series, and stories he had to unleash to the world to see, he knew that he was closer… And day by day, he continues to get closer. It was an amazing feeling for him, and he wanted to cherish it—though Larry interrupted his moment.
“Sir, aren’t you going to go inside?” he asked.
Ian nodded, “Yeah, park it and come inside. Have a drink and enjoy the party.”
-
Ian walked inside and to the place where the party was about to take place. Everyone in the room stopped for a brief moment and looked at Ian who walked in with a pleasant smile greeting people on his way.
“Ian! You’re here, finally!”
“You look great!”
“Ian! Hello!”
“Look who’s here!”
“Ian is here!”
“Ian, everything looks great!”
“Hey! Good luck!”
“Ian, congratulations!”
Different words, thoughts, and greetings were heard as he continuously kept walking inside. Ian knew that the night should go perfectly because there was someone who he thought should see how well he was doing.
Someone was invited to this new step of Ian’s career as Ian believed that this could go a very long way not just for him, but also for the studio. As his plan was to invest more than half the profits for the studio, he wanted that man to see how well it was going.
From afar, he saw the old man talking to Raelynn and Niko, while the glass of champagne in his hand reached his lips.

An immediate smile was drawn on Ian’s face as he walked closer to them.
“Uncle Mason! How good is it to see you?!” Ian said loud enough to grab the attention of the little group.
Mason stood up and hugged Ian immediately.
“You’ve become more handsome by the day! That’s amazing! Everything looks amazing!” Mason said and smiled, looking around.
The theme for the night was gold and red. As Ian believed the name and the theme he was going with was red and black, he thought of adding gold to enhance the elegant look to be on the media and as a memorable celebration.
He believed that things that shine tend to be on the mind for quite some time. Which was exactly what he wanted with the party.
“This is huge, Ian. I’m so proud of you,” Mason said immediately.
Mason was old, yet he was sharp. When he looked around to see the faces of all those directors and famous people, it was easy to say Ian’s worth.
Many directors who came with judgmental eyes were already amazed by how well the event was going. As it was visible by their faces, Mason knew that Ian had achieved something only he could ever dream of a while ago.
“It’s because of you.”
“We were talking about how excited you were about this!” Raelynn said loudly, making both Ian and Mason turn their heads.
Ian smiled.
“Of course. This is going to be big. Not just for me, but also for the Renner Studio. I just know that this is going to be big.”
Ian said and shrugged. It was a simple answer. But it held so much meaning and plans that a smile drew on Mason’s face. He was never the one to smile to give appreciation to something that doesn’t deserve it.
Raelynn nodded. “I’m sure we’ll pretty much invade Hollywood with all this. That’s not even up to debate.”
Ian’s eyebrows raised as soon as she said that. It was almost as if she understood Ian’s core intentions.
“I guess in ten minutes, the grand opening should start. I’ve to go, I’ll come around.”
Ian said and walked to the front so that he could easily walk toward everyone. In the front, there was a massive piece of decoration done but closed in an item of white clothing. Ian was supposed to open it and introduce the platform—for which he was more than ready.
-
“...As I’ve said, it was a tough time, but here we all are! It’s my greatest honour to introduce you… NETFLIX!”
Ian said as he cut the piece of ribbon, exposing the brand icon. It was really similar to the one in his original world, the world-famous Netflix symbol.
As he revealed the icon, almost everyone in the audience gasped. It was simply beautiful.
On the huge screen that was in front of them, the little Netflix theme played as the N on the screen moved forward. With the bass echoing through the hall, everyone’s silence ended with applause.
Ian felt happy as he established Netflix in this world—which was something really huge in his previous world.
Netflix’s importance was because they had to future-proof the business they had built, so Netflix went all in on streaming video. Rather than focus on improving the delivery of physical DVDs, Netflix would reinvent entertainment delivery by providing its subscribers with instant access to thousands of titles that they could binge-watch on any device.
“Wow!”
“This is amazing!”
“Everyone, Netflix launches!”
“It looks amazing!”
“Damn!”
Compliments were said aloud for everyone to hear one after another. The room was filled with intense ecstasy and it was evident.
“Netflix, everyone!” Ian said and walked off the stage as one of the directors on the board walked onto the stage and took over the speech.
Ian walked towards Raelynn and smiled.
“Tonight is going to be something else for us too!” He whispered into her ear, and she chuckled. She knew what he clearly was about.

The Spark
Michael Locke was a normal student, who went through his normal day in a normal fashion, until the day became... unnatural. Shot into the country of Aldemar and thrust into a new world alongside his many classmates, he agrees to work for the king in exchange for shelter and to learn magic. Fate however, is indifferent to his wishes, as he quickly realizes that he may be a hero, but his purpose in this world is quite opposite. Suddenly surrounded on every side, Michael must work to survive, and if anyone finds his secret... He's as good as dead. The Spark is meant to be a murder mystery style isekai, focused on the existence of basically an anti-hero, with every one of the large amount of heroes attempting to discover who the traitor is. This isn't made to be a lovey dovey easy going isekai with an OP mc, it's made to stir around an emotional story, with many dark tones. Still, the goal is to stay fairly light hearted as well, and the perspective will pass around to several characters throughout the story.

Master of Dungeons
-This is my first attempt at uploading a story I created. It is not a fanfic, but uses several systems from other stories I've read. I hope you enjoy, and feel free to leave comments or criticisms as appropriate. Thank you.-Edwin Cast was your (mostly) regular guy living and working in Kentucky. He had a knack for working, and was always bouncing from job to job as fancy took him. Insatiably curious, he was always on the look out for new or interesting information or things to do. You could say he was a 'hard-work fanatic'.But with an ailing mother and the inability to realize that he was being shunned by those considered his 'betters', he met his mortal end at the hands of those people who he replaced. Beaten to death on the same day his mother died, he's soon pulled from the void into a world beyond his own imagination. Reborn into a fantasy world as the last 'Demon Lord', Edwin is expected to rule over a vast number of races, each of which are considered 'monsters' and demon-kin by the zealous human kingdoms of the world. And if that wasn't enough, the only way to progress and make ends meat is to build and control 'Dungeons' for the righteous humans to invade!Edwin will have to give it his all in a world he never expected even existed, and will have to learn to survive with his wits and growing power in order to establish something resembling peace in the war-torn lands of Eternia.-NOTE: I'm still in the process of working on the storyline, characters, and abilities that will be presented. A large number of themes are planned, and mature/adult content is planned. The story may also be a bit slow in some cases, so please bare with me. Thanks again!-NOTE: People have been mentioning the rough grammar and spelling errors that come with my posts; and while I've said so in the forum comments, I'm going to post it here as well. This is all basically a rough draft. I post the chapters as I write them, with only a spell-check for accuracy. None of the chapters are proofread. Once people point out blatant errors, I try to correct them; but otherwise I'm more interested in writing. If anyone wishes to proofread my work, shoot me a PM on the forums! Thanks again.
