Chapter 291: Ooze Colossus
[BONUS]
One hit of that magical attack, and they would certainly get wiped out. The range of the armies’ magic was incredible, covering a vast five-hundred-meter explosion with Jibblinplip as the center. But despite all of that, it didn’t even show signs of slowing down.
The rotational magical assault was only made possible by batches of magic users all determined to end the monstrosity once and for all.
And since they got information that Jibblinplip would be immune to continuous magical damage, they made it so that their elemental damages would consistently alternate among fire, water, wind, earth, thunder, and ice. There was even divine and dark magic mixed into the fray, making sure that they dealt optimal damage to Jibblinplip.
It was a war that none of the players hoped to compete against or get in between at their current level.
Going in there would be suicide.
Their only bet was a long-range attack from the back, but that was also dangerous. There was a chance that a lost magical assault would make its way into their location.
The Armies’ Tanks and DPS were safe since they engaged Jibblinplip’s minions in a safer location, away from their main body, which their magic users were trying to finish off as quickly as possible before it had the chance to recover.
Knowing that they would only be swallowed once they attacked the giant blob, the Kingdoms’ armies had included more magic users in their ranks to finish the creature once and for all.
But it didn’t mean that it was immune to physical attacks. It would just develop resistance over the continuous assault.
Siege weapons that fired giant boulders and a massive ballista that shot multiple life-size arrows were all used against the Continental Ooze, making no quarters that would let the monster live in that first wave of attacks.

Seeing that most of them wouldn’t even be able to get close to the fight, all the guilds changed their composition and brought in the long-range attackers, mostly only magic users and snipers, since hunters were still weak at this point in time.
They were ready to go in once the chaos settled. Surely, the Kingdom’s armies needed to check what was going on behind that endless stream of smoke and dust. They would need to recover their mana and wait for their spells’ cooldown.
After a whole thirty minutes of suffering from attacks that came from all sides, the barrages of attacks finally ceased, but only because the Generals leading their respective armies wanted to check what had become of Jibblinplip.
With another wave ready just in case, the Generals commanded a halt. The heavy rain quickly washed away the smoke and dust, and everyone held their breath as they stared at what was left of Jibblinplip’s HP.
All the players strained their eyes red, unblinking even at the face of the storm harshly hitting their faces. If Jibblinplip’s HP had significantly dropped, then it was their chance to kill it.
In the massive crater that formed around Jibblinplip, the monster rose to its height with only less than half of HP from its original two million. The high-level spells dealt a huge amount of hit points, but no one rejoiced because of the series of notifications appeared right in front of their faces.

[Jibblinplip has increased resistance against Dark base magical damage!]
Everyone genuinely thought all those nonstop attacks would have reduced its HP until there were just hundreds, yet it still had seven hundred thousand more.
“Ready the second wave of attacks! We’ll finish that threat within the day!” A general commanded. Though it developed resistance, it was not totally immune.
They could do this!
“This time, we will not stop until it perishes under our might!”
However, before the second wave could commence, something caught everyone’s attention.
Jibblinplip was shuddering and shaking. Its jelly-like body bubbled like hot water boiled under fire. At the center of its mass, there was a visible light that repeatedly blinked, attracting everyone’s attention to it.
“W-what’s happening with it?”
“I don’t like this.”
All players had enough of Jibblinplip’s every reaction to what it ate. They feared that it had consumed something strange again.
Unfortunately, they were right in their assumption. At some point, Jibblinplip ate a ruin. It was supposed to be a mid-tier dungeon that housed a powerful item, which was amongst the rewards for defeating the boss residing in that dungeon.
This item was [Monarch Sovereign]. This mighty scepter helped with leadership and commands. When the ooze consumed this item, its body visibly trembled and broke into two, creating an Ooze Colossus with a bigger army of minions.
The Ooze Colossus was a sight to behold. At first, a blob of ooze the size of a small mountain fell off of Jibblinplip and slid into the ground. But after that, the light within it grew steadily brighter and was tossed up, forming into a detailed and perfectly formed humanoid that looked like it was drawn by a child.
The [Monarch Sovereign] spurred the colossus toward the nearest city. It wanted to eat a king.
“This is bad! There are now two of them!”
“The good news is, it shrunk to half its size, and its HP reduced to half as well.”
“However, there’s two of them to deal with now.”
A silver humanoid and a green blob of jelly. Who could say that they would find the fight to their liking? They were already having troubles with one, and then another appeared.
The Kingdoms’ armies were equally surprised as well. For a short moment, they didn’t react and let the Colossus took its first step towards a Kingdom. And since this Ooze have legs, it was quicker than Jibblinplip.
Meanwhile, the players gathered information about the new threat that had just appeared. They were shocked to find out that the Ooze Colossus was more powerful than its main body, Jibblinplip.
