This is fused glass painted with glass paint and ceramic underglaze. While being fired the glass broke in four places. One of the best things about broken fused glass is that heat can heal it. I laid out the groken glass in the kiln and fired it again at 1400 degrees. While heat does heal, it doesn’t remove scars. The breaks are still visible but they are mended. I used a portion of this piece as the cover art for my story, The Sea Castle.
