《Tuatha de Danann》Tuatha 289 Book 3 Chapter 16

The constellation that had formed was a reflection of my [Domain], a visible representation of my growing divinity. For now, this constellation of stars existed only in this universe, but I was of the Tuatha de Danann.
Once I had ascended and claimed my position as part of that Pantheon, the constellation would explode. A supernova of energy would resonate across the multiverse and take shape within every universe the Tuatha de Danann reached.
The Hrimfaxi and I settled into a new partnership. The animal was now a part of me, and our souls had merged. It had gained from the new partnership just as I had. No longer Hrimfaxi, he became a [Named] godling.
The Hrimfaxi had agreed to be named [Draioct], the Tuatha de Danann word for [Glamour]. He would stand as a physical and tangible representation of my power, linked to my [Domain]. I would need to find another partner to represent [Illusion]. Once that had been accomplished, we would form a triumvirate of power that empowered my [Domain], each partner increasing my aspect exponentially.
Once the blending and merging of abilities and memories between us had been completed, I entered my [Ring of Hidden Depths]. The [Ring] had been a gift from System, one that had mostly been relegated to a storage device. But it had much stronger features, the one I would take advantage of now was time dilation.
When I first used this feature, Avatars of differing disciplines had been created to instruct me in using my magic and skills. The System might have anticipated that I would reach [God: Rank] at some point but had not awarded that possibility. The Ring was an artifact, not a [Divine Artifact]. There would be no celestial Avatars to greet and shepherd me through the abilities I gained.
[Draioct] was a creature of the Divine. He was infused with his divinity from the moment of creation. He would serve as a focus; my perceptions and meditation would center around him and how his presence impacted the world around us.

I would use my memory of Draioct when I’d first encountered him and compare the changes that had taken place after we had formed our partnership. My memory has always been impressive. You couldn’t gain an [A Rank] mind without the intellect, perception, and will capable of sustaining that rank.
But now that I had reached [S- Rank], that memory was more. Eidetic, photographic, hyperthymesia. I could remember in perfect detail any moment of my life and replay that memory with perfect recall.
My perception had increased to such an extent that I could see the physical, metaphysical, and divine energies that coursed through [Draioct] when I’d first encountered him. It would be child’s play to compare the before to the now.
I began replaying and comparing those memories to understand what had changed.
The Hrimfaxi had always served as an anchor. They helped to establish order out of chaos. Their existence established the [Law] that defined the variables and characteristics for every species of horse. The Hrimfaxi resonated with the Divine, and the universe accepted that resonance as a cosmic primer for DNA writ large.
Now, that anchor remained, but [Draioct] was much more than he had been. Glamour was hard to define. It was in constant motion, ever-changing, and as such, the [Law] that defined and established the boundaries was also constantly changing.
Glamour was as much skill as it was magic, as much reality as it was transitory, as much stable as it was ephemeral. It was the imposition of will, the ability to overlay reality and make the impossible possible.
[Draioct] now served to anchor the rules that defined [Glamour]. The ability to change order, using chaos, into a new order- a new reality. He had become an instrument of [Chaos], an anchor that allowed truth to be remade.
And that connection to [Chaos] fueled my own divinity. It shaped and powered my [Domain], establishing my role in the firmaments of my Pantheon.

This new understanding of what I was becoming and how I would serve as an agent of change for the multiverse didn’t bother me. Sidhe had always danced with and embraced the rules of chaos. We were children of illusion, gifted with the inherent ability to obfuscate the truth without the ability to speak anything but the truth.
We were used to walking that line that separated order from chaos and had become masters at using either, as long as it suited our purpose.
I felt myself accept the new paradigm as my [Domain] became a true reflection of [Chaos]. It didn’t hurt; it didn’t change me. It was like putting on an old pair of slippers, comfortable and perfectly shaped to fit my feet. It was like coming home or accepting and embracing that part of myself that had always been there. It was a part of me.
But with this gain, some loss was inevitable. I would return to Talahm, but I would never serve again as King of the Tuatha de Danann faction. I was losing my connection to the mortal world and my role in it.
That connection would never be severed, but my place in it had changed. I was becoming divine, and my [Domain] would manifest across the infinite. I could still guide and walk among the Sidhe, but their futures were theirs to claim.
Even Gods were constrained and bound from interfering with the free will of mortals. The Alpha and Omega had anchored that [Law] in the firmament even before the first mortal was created.
The changes I enjoyed by partnering with [Draioct] would see me more of a spectator than a participant in the daily lives of every Sidhe. Each time they cast an illusion or glamour I would gain, my influence across the cosmos would deepen, but that influence would also set me apart.
As I meditated and began to understand and internalize the scope of my new responsibilities, I grieved. Ag, Tia, and Caraid would soon be lost to me. Our connection, our bonds eclipsed by the new rules that my divinity would demand.
They would gain a boost to their power because of our connection. They would continue to live their lives, but I would become a silent witness to their progress. I would become nothing but a dream for them as time passed—a fond memory.
They would remember that they had stood by my side, been friends and partners, and helped me grow, but new events and new adventures would supplant the immediacy of those memories.
I felt the universe shudder, even inside the [Ring], my spirit, mind, and body connecting to the Divine, imprinting who I was, who I had been, and who I would become as an anchor that defined myself and my burgeoning Godhood.
It was just the first step, the feeling familiar even in its oddity. That feeling of jerking awake right as you are about to fall asleep. That feeling of fear in the pit of your stomach you feel when you contemplate your place in the universe. And that anticipation you feel when riding a roller-coaster and it is about to plunge after ascending that first hill.
It was wondrous and scary. As I achieved enlightenment and understanding, I embraced [Chaos] and the part I would play as an engine of change.
