《Wolf Bloodline》The Clash Of Two Monsters (Ryuu)

I finally managed to reach the battlefield with my dragon. Leaving my comrades behind, I flew towards the fourth epic. Right behind it was the infamous beast.
When dealing personally with the fourth epic, the dragon could also respond to the beast. Only then could we bring certainty to this battle. I knew the Fourth Epic was powerful, but I had never fought him in close combat before.
As I left my comrades, I ascended towards the clouds and unleashed the dragon's fire upon the enemy army, buying us some time.
Before the beast could fire its plasma at us again, we rose above the clouds and flew at great speed with powerful flaps of the dragon's wings.
Atop the clouds, the monster blindly shot plasma breath at us. We managed to dodge some of its beams with swift maneuvers. But the plasmas kept coming.
When we were close enough to the enemy, ı signaled to the dragon and dove under the clouds.
When we saw the beast below us, the dragon used its fire breath against it.
The monster retaliated by firing blue-toned plasma from its mouth in response to our huge fireball. When the fire and plasma collided, A great wave of power was emitted from the collision.
For some time, neither side ceased firing. But during that time, neither the beast nor the dragon could harm each other.
We had to ascend to attack the beast again. But it was firing its plasma skywards, trying to prevent us from ascending by summoning meteors toward us.
With meteors raining down upon us, it was impossible to attack. After the meteors, The monster continued to unleash its plasma breath upon us.
We tried to avoid both the plasma and the incoming meteors. Unsure if a close attack would be wise, I decided to continue with the dragon's fire attacks.

We turned towards the monster again, aiming for a precise attack. The dragon managed to dodge the meteors and unleashed its fire upon the monster.
But the monster was not idle. It fired a plasma from its mouth at us. Fire and plasma collided once again in a powerful explosion. The dragon flew close to the monster and with a sudden maneuver, we passed to its left. Though we couldn't damage it, we survived the attack.
Everything seemed normal, but I couldn't see the fourth epic anywhere. That is until I felt a nudge from behind. Apparently, as we got closer to the monster, the fourth epic had managed to climb onto the dragon's back.
Without hesitation, I turned and breathed fire toward it. But the fourth epic calmly wrapped itself in its dragon skin cloak and blocked my attack. I switched to close combat and began using my fists.
While I fought the fourth epic, the dragon battled the beast. Fighting atop the swaying dragon was not easy, especially against the fourth epic.
It blocked all my attacks. Just as it was about to make a move toward me, the dragon rose up and knocked it off balance. I seized the opportunity and grabbed the fourth epic by the waist before jumping off the dragon's back.
I thought I could slam it hard onto the ground, but it broke free with a swift move and sent me crashing down with a single punch.
As I got back up, we faced each other once again.
Due to a momentary lapse in judgment, I found myself separated from the dragon in the midst of battle. While it continued to fight against the beast, I faced the fourth epic.
I wasn't sure if this was good or bad for us. But one thing was certain: it was going to be a tough battle. The fourth epic, who had never lost a battle except to the fifth epic, stared at me coldly.

I didn't know what else its spear could do. The fourth epic, almost as well-built as my uncle but not as tall, approached me with slow steps.
"You've managed to win the dragon to your side. Indeed, child, you are full of surprises. But the dragon's end will be at the hands of my beast, just like its mother's. And in the meantime, I can finish you off," it said.
"After all you've done, you still think the people will let you be king?" I retorted.
"They'll understand when I save them from the epics. It's not a world for the weak. Sad but true," it replied.
"You enslaved the people. You made Furon work for you. And worse, you had your own brother killed. These are unforgivable acts," I said.
"With my kingly powers, I can enter their minds. As long as there are no rebels, a single thought will suffice," it said.
"That will only frighten them even more," I said.
"You don't know fear, wolf boy. I grew up with it. You don't even realize what's coming. I have to do these things to defeat it," it said.
The person the fourth epic spoke of was the fifth epic. But its words were more for profit than for good.
"If all you wanted was to defeat him, I wouldn't be standing here now," I said.
"Don't worry. It won't take long," it replied.
As the fourth epic raised its spear into the air, the emerald on it flashed. Suddenly, black smoke surrounded me in a disorienting way. Though I understood what was happening, I could neither see my surroundings nor hear the sounds of battle from outside.
The last thing I saw was the aggressive eyes of the fourth epic. Though I couldn't see through the smoke, I could smell a sharp odor that made me nervous. Unaware of what was happening, I took a defensive stance and waited for the attack to come.
But it came from an unexpected direction. A huge palm descended towards me. I still didn't understand what was happening, but I had nowhere to run. I tried to block the incoming palm with my arms.
I managed to get up slightly, but somehow the fourth epic landed a hard punch on my stomach. It was undoubtedly the hardest punch I had ever felt. I quickly recovered and tried to understand what had happened. The palm I had just resisted was nowhere to be seen. How could something so big disappear so quickly?
I dodged an incoming spear attack by leaning to the left and responded with my fist. The fourth epic raised its elbow and blocked my fist with its arm.
I swung fist after fist, but the enemy countered with its own fists and spear. As our fists clashed, I unleashed a blast of fire from my mouth.
The emerald on the spear shone upon our flames, just as it had at the beginning of the battle. And then, the fourth epic in front of me disappeared.

Noble
"Then, let joyous news be delivered to those who pass their lives in peace, For it takes only one twist of fate to throw their lives upside down And for those who unfortunate enough to encounter the whims of fate, Let it be reminded to them, that even their lives repeat a hundred times..." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lys Ravenlicht was no hero, nor was he a brave man. He was someone who had the better things in life and figured that he'd tread upon the path his late father had prepared for him as an appointed noble and a politician in his home country and he had no business whatsoever of being a hero. And yet, it took only one twist, one twist of fate, before all plans he had laid out for the rest of his life went down the tubes. Join him as he traverse the lands of Fymia, where the arcane had faded into the annals of time and yet persist in the most mundane of things. And as he found himself dragged deeper into a catastrophic series of events that would change his perception of the world, and the course of history for the world itself... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Author's comments: The story was meant to be a satire of the Japanese animanga tropes.... until it got out of hand to the point I'm not sure it's a satire anymore. I hope you can find enjoyment in it nonetheless.
