《Reborn on a Systemless Earth... With a System》Chapter 182: The Great Speech
Advertisement
The flames of passion burst out throughout Mystix.
I use [Searing Rush] in combination with my Fast Travel ability and make fantastic use of my presence.
First, I head to South Spire, where all but desertic nomads have abandoned the wasteland ruins of terrible war. Desertic nomads that can provide amazing convoy transportation to ferry people back and forth towards our battlefield destination.
“Hello all,” I shout with a [Voice Projection] skill to attract all to listen to my words. “The U.S. military has occupied Mystix for too long. They have brought destruction and oppression to our doorstep. But that is about to change.”
The nomads gather around with their many carriages and chariots and mega-elephant families.
“The Systemless Squad is here for you.—”
***
“—We have brought a great army assembled from the best of the best from Earth as well as other worlds. We have come to join your cause and save the multiverse.”
I stand on an uneasily wobbly platform on the high seas, as mermen and merladies and merenbies assemble their fleets.
“It does not matter how strong you are. What class you are, your level, your Destiny Card skills. What matters is that you have a passion for ridding the world of these invaders and restoring peace to Mystix.
“We’ve been at war too long. The pointless struggles of the New Slayers and the Anti-Mages wreaked havoc on far too many places. And before that, the Slayers conquered far too much.—”
***
“The past century has seen more war than any world ever should. And I should know. Part of the blame falls squarely on me.”
I stand in the orc capital of Tankrull, in the middle of a crowded city street. Few acknowledge me. But most, I know, are listening.

“In a past life, I was known as Amaranth. A brutal warlord dedicated to nothing more than fighting and gaining Destiny Points. It may have been manipulation that brought me to that point, but my actions were terrible.
“You may know of the terrible stories they tell about Amaranth. And you know what? Maybe I still have that man inside me. But we don’t even need that man to take down the U.S.!” If we—”
***
“—work together, we are unstoppable. Freedom awaits us, everyone! You don’t have to live in fear any longer. Take up arms, bring your fighting spirits, and come with the Systemless Squad!”
I sprint across a field, shouting as loud as my projected voice can take it, letting distant villages and snoozing towns alike hear my speech echo through the valley.
I hear small echoes of cheers bounding back at me.
“We all must gather in one location. One destination to assault with all our might—”
***
“—that also contains the U.S.’s main base. It’s a location known only as Central Spire, right in the middle of Mystix. Find this place and prepare to fight. Find this place and use your magic. Find this place and join us!”
I’m in front of a motley crowd of many species inside some sort of cave.
I meet eyes with someone who I didn’t expect to.
Mestopholees.
These must be her people. And by the looks of it, they may be the Sleeper Slayers I am told of.
She and I do not exchange words, for I am giving my speech for the umpteenth time. But we do exchange glances.
And from the fiery look of determination and defiance in her eyes, I can already tell I don’t need to convince her of anything. More so, I need to convince her not to act too quickly.

But such an attempt at convincing would not succeed. Mestopholees is a demon queen for a reason. She does what she wants.
***
A clan of beavers.
“Join us!”
***
Tree elves hiding in the woods.
“Join us!”
***
The valiant sheet ghosts.
“Join us—”
***
“—And let us defeat Joe Biden once and for all!”
A loud, upracious cheer of hoorays.
I have Fast Traveled all across Mystix to gather as many forces. They are all headed to Central Spire, just like we will be in about two days. Our preparations are almost complete. The battle plans being forged in the fires of the Anti-Mage furnaces.
It will be a glorious final battle, one that will unite the races and the universes all in one.
With my Fast Traveling speech, I roused the people. Now I just need to deliver on my words and win this war.

The Last Breath
When Yezzu first sent his sons to the realm of men, they brought with them the magic of the gods. They created the three kingdoms we now have today being Dremshen, Ex'ol, and Kantillion. In the five thousand years since the gods left, much has changed. Great wars were fought, Universities were built, civilizations were created. One thing remained after the gods' departure though, their powers. Today, the balance of crafting the three gods brought has shifted. In the beginning, each had the same skill as the other, but the magic that was passed down through the millennia has diminished. The struggle for power that started long ago is coming to a defining moment. Plots of war and assassination are being weaved. Don't despair, for we may yet be saved from the disasters to come. Our hope lies in three young crafters. The first is William Divus, who sets out from his small village into the Dremshen Kingdom to study crafting after his father's passing. His questions about his father and his quest for knowledge drive him. Next comes Ehzahn Obasi, an Ex'olian thief with unparalleled skill. He steals for the thrill, no longer needing the rewards that come with it. He has just achieved his lifelong dream, but he will soon learn how much he underestimated the fallout from his daring theft. The last is Ki Soru, the niece of a powerful duke. She showed promise with crafting at a young age, so she had the best training the Kantillion Kingdom had to offer. Ten years have passed since her lessons began, leaving the king unsatisfied with the results. Her life is upended when her new teacher arrives, revealing a secret kept from her that changes her whole life. These three are our heroes. They were born in separate kingdoms under vastly differing upbringing, but each with their own part to play in the challenges to come. Here begins our tale of mischief and misery with only but a sliver of hope.
