Jennifer and Ingrid were sunbathing on beach towels with their eyes closed, listening to the ocean waves.

Jennifer sat up and looked around. "Hey, Ingrid, why are you wearing a headset? There's a beautiful sparkling seaside right in front of us …"

"Look, Jen, I agreed to come with you to keep you company, but I've got a whole universe in my pocket. I simply plug in to make all this or anything else I wish."

"Oh,” Jen sifted sand pebbles through her fingers, “I gave up doing that permanently …"

"What?" Ingrid removed her headset and stared at Jen. "You never plugin?"

"Nope! I realized that creating my own universe offers me no challenge. It's so shallow. Since I have the option to control everything, it's meaningless." Jen stood up. "I'm going for a dip."

"So, you'd rather go swimming with the sharks, Jen?"

"That's right … At least I'll feel alive doing it. VR is so vapid and pointless. There's nothing to discover there I can't create. So, I prefer reality. It keeps me curious and always guessing."
