《Diverge Summoning》Chapter 41-It Just Had To Be A ******

Shango was running full sprint trying to catch up to Yukini, but it seemed like he was not gaining any ground he had just realized for her size she was deceptively quick. She was like a sumo wrestler with the speed of Usain Bolt, a combination that should not exist, he was sure that if he did not get the typical isekai power-up, he would have lost sight of her a long time ago.
Trialing behind Yukini Shango started to look around to get a better understanding of his surrounding while chasing her. Looking ahead he noticed eight large pliers just laying on the ground, some distance in front of them.
They were laid out in a very weird, but familiar way. The formation of the stone pliers looked like something that he had seen before, but he just could not put his finger on what it was and Yukini was running right towards the center of them.
“Damn it Yukini stop!” Shango yelled, hoping it would cause Yukini to pause for a moment.
“Roar!” She responded with an even louder roar. Shango could also tell she was very excited about something by that roar.
As he got closer, a weird feeling stirred within him, an unpleasant feeling that he was very familiar with. Along with those feelings came an old memory. It was a memory of a time just before his parents passed. When Yuki and Shango families used to get together every week and hang out. While the adult would drink, play card games, and argue about who did what to get them kicked out of whatever poor unfortunate country to have this group of friends set foot in. Yuki and Shango would spend their time watching TV and at that time Yuki was a big fan of the national geographic channel because he could never win an argument with her, changing the channel was not an option at all, so they would end up spending hours upon hours watching the national geographic channel, which results in him learn a lot of unnecessary crap, but there was only one time he was truly spellbound by that channel, not because he liked what was being shown but it was more of a deer in the headlight stations, no matter how much he wanted to turn away he was just so fixated by what was on the TV and on that particular day it was all about air-breathing arthropods better known as fucking spiders.

Now at that time, Shango's knowledge of spiders was only surface level, he knew they ate bugs, made webs, and could be deadly if bitten by a non-radioactive one and that was all he knew about them, but after spending the day watching the national geographic channel. He grew to realize just how evil these eight-legged creatures from hell were, each species of this god curse upon the earth was more frightening than the last. From the way they hunted, ate, and even mated he was sure these creatures were here to punish the people of the earth, and after that day he came to understand two things about the world Spiderman was a dumb hero, and people that kept them as pets are to be feared.
“Roar!”
A loud roar snapped him out of his thought processes, looking ahead he could see that Yukini had leaped a great distance and landed right in front of the weird stone formation, and then jumped up and down and hitting the ground in a berserker-like manner. He was about 20 feet away from Yukini And as he got closer, he could feel the hair on his arm stand on end. Looking around, he could see the sand under their feet shift. Shango already had in his mind what type of creatures they would fight next and he was not happy about it. A sense of fear rushed over him, one that he had long forgotten because of this monthly subscription to a certain pest control company.
He wanted to stop, but the momentum would not let him As soon as he was about 5 feet away, from Yukini. He felt his knees buckle before the sensation that felt like he had just jumped on a trampoline hit him. He found he was in mid-air falling backward toward the ground. He could hear Yukini him letting out a series of loud angry roars on the side before hearing a loud thump.

Shango landed face down in the sand and ate a mouth full of sand. Off to the side, he could see Yukini had landed in a very awkward way and gotten herself stuck in a pile of sand.
After having a coughing fit trying to get the sand out of his mouth, Shango turned his attention toward the creature that was slowly pulling itself up from the ground.
The eight large rock pillar that was once covered by sand slowly revealed more of themselves, eight long legs emerge from the sand each as thick as a bus and twice as long, one leg after another the creature pulled itself from the sand, the main body for this creature was just as outrageous. Words truly could not describe just how big this creature was. In the simplest of words, it was just massive. After a while, the creature was fully revealed. If Shango were in his right mind, he would have attacked the creature before it dug itself out completely, instead of standing there like a villain from a magical girl anime from the 90s.
“It really is a Spider, a fucking rock Spider,” Shango said as he looked at the massive rock Spider, who was looking back at him with 12 large eyes that looked like rubies, with two incredibly long fangs that resembled black diamonds.
Slumping his shoulders Shango, let out a sigh.
“You could have been a scorpion, people like scorpions, even The Rock like scorpions. Scorpions in the deserts go hand in hand. You could have been another damn snake creature, but no, you just had to be a fucking spider.” He said as he took a fight stance because even though he was scared as hell, his fight-or-flight response has always been to knock a bitch out. A few seconds later Yukini got herself unstuck from the sand and came by Shango's side staring daggers and the Rock spider.
“Alright, Yukini let's do this.!”
