Worshipper Arc: Chapter 33. Two sides.
Valoran and Artemsia see an unexpecting image in front of them.
Students and Professors of the academy including: Selina, Biatrix, Merial, Atticus and Demonlise are all standing outside the front gate waiting for Valoran to arrive.
“Hmm…What’s all this?” Valoran mumbles.
“You are finally here!” Demonlise yells toward Valoran.
Valoran and Artemsia walk up to the crowd.
Demonlise steps in front to intercept Valoran.
“Demonlise, what is all this?” Valoran questions.
“Everyone knows that you will be seated on the throne soon, everyone standing before you believes you will become the next King of Magic.” Demonlise explains.
Valoran looks at all the Students and Professors from all raises.
“Do you really believe that I will become the next king of Magic?” Valoran questions the crowd.
“We do!”
“We know you will be!”
“You have proven your power!”
“All of us believe in you!”
The students call out in excitement.
Professor Asparata, also among the crowd walks up to Valoran.
“I, as your Professor, am so proud of you. You have helped me when I was need, you have proven how powerful and wise you are…if there is anyone to succeed as the new Magic King then it’s you.” Professor Asparata says with pride.
“Thank you. Professor.” Valoran responds with sincerity.
“I thank you all. All of you putting your trust and faith in me, I will not betray that trust!” Valoran promises to everyone in the crowd.
“Valoran sure is an expert at motivation.” Merial speaks quietly.
“He sure is.” Atticus replies,
“Shhh you two. I want to hear what he is saying.” Biatrix shuts Merial and Atticus up.
“She’s right. Let’s listen to what he has to say.” Selina agrees with Biatrix.
“If I shall be accepted as the new King of Magic, I vow to protect this world and all other worlds that need protection.” Valoran promises.
The crowd is amazed to hear those words, being reassured by Valoran himself puts the crowd of Students and Professors at ease.
After Valoran held his small speech one of the Students: (a third year demon male) step forward, approaching Valoran.
“Valoran, I will offer any support you require.” The student says with sincerity.
He then kneels in front of Valoran.
Valoran seeing this asks the Student a question. “What’s your name?”
“My name is Kavial Demias.”
“Kavial, there is no need to kneel in front of me.” Valoran informs.
Valoran shifts his attention to the crowd. The crowd of Students and Professors are all kneeling in front of Valoran including Demonlise, Atticus, Merial, Selina, Biatrix and Artemsia, to offer him support and to show that they all believe in him.

Valoran addresses them once again.
“My friends, all of you believe in me. That is something I will cherish. Please rise all of you, there is no need for kneeling.” Valoran kindly instructs.
Everyone gets on back up.
“Let’s head inside.” Professor Asparata instructs.
With that everyone heads inside the academy.
“How does it feel to have this many people believe in you?” Biatrix asks Valoran on the way inside the academy.
“Must feel amazing for sure!” Merial points out.
“It feels incredible, when I was a child I never thought anyone would have faith in me. Now I have this many people believing in me. I will not let their faith in me be in vain.” Valoran explains to his friends.
“We are happy to hear that Valoran.” Selina replies with a smile.
Valoran smirks a little.
They all enter the academy and every Student and Professor heads for their class.
Valoran, Biatrix, Selina, Merial, Selina, Artemsia and Demonlise as well as Professor Asparata and everyone in Valoran’ class heads for their class.
They arrive in class.
“Alright everyone take your seats.” Professor Asparata instructs her students kindly.
“Sorry for being late everyone.” Professor Asparata apologises to the students who waited for class to start and did not wait for Valoran outside the front gate.
“Let’s begin the lesson.” Professor Asparata instructs.
Professor Asparata teaches the class.
“Hey Valoran.” Atticus whispers.
Valoran turns his head toward Atticus.
“Any news on the throne?” Atticus whispers.
“No, I have not received any updates on this matter.” Valoran replies.
“But Valoran, are you truly prepared to face Daimos?” Artemsia whispers.
“I am. Should I be chosen to become the next King of Magic I will be prepared although if I can defeat him is a question I cannot answer.” Valoran replies.
“Valoran you will prevail. I know you will.” Biatrix says with a small smile.
“Thank you Biatrix, it’s not like you to speak this sincerely.” Valoran responds to Biatrix.
Biatrix begins to blush.
“Oh shut up.” She faces away from Valoran to hide her blushing face.
“Just take the compliment and don’t make it awkward.” Biatrix says with a raised voice.
“Biatrix.” Professor Asparata calls out.
“Huh?” Biatrix turns toward the Professor.
“Please keep it down.” Professor Asparata kindly instructs.
“S-Sorry.” Biatrix apologises, bowing her head.
“It’s alright. Let’s get back to the lesson.” Professor Asparta says.
“Thanks a lot.” Biatrix mumbles quietly to Valoran in a frustrating tone.
“What…It’s not my fault you raised your voice.” Valoran whispers with a smirk.

“Sometimes you make it hard to be your friend, you know that.” Biatrix says.
Valoran smirks. “Is that so?”
“Wow, never saw Biatrix being this flustered with emotions.” Selina notices.
“Me neither.” Merial adds on.
“You two, can you please drop this?” Biatrix kindly asks.
“Sure sure.” Selina and Merial say with a smirk of their own.
“She will never hear the end of it, those two will come back to this scenario to make fun of her at any opportunity they get.” Atticus thinks to himself.
“Sometimes I believe they are still children.” Demonlise thinks to himself.
After another hour and a half the lesson has come to an end.
Valoran and the others head to the cafeteria for lunch.
On the way to the cafeteria Valoran and the others witness a struggle.
“HE’S WORTHLESS!” One male student shouts.
“NO HE IS NOT!” Another male student yells in frustration.
“What’s going on ahead?” Artemsia and the others notice a struggle between two groups of Students.
“A commotion between groups of students.” Demonlise responds.
“Let’s see what this is all about.” Valoran suggests and moves toward the group with the others following close by.
“HE IS OUR ONLY HOPE!” A female student yells out.
“SHUT UP YOU WRETCH! HE IS A NOBODY!” A male student shuts her up.
“DON’T TALK TO HER LIKE THAT!” A female student yells back.
“YOU AND EVERYONE ELSE WHO BELIEVES IN VALORAN, ARE COMPLETE FOOLS!” Another female student yells out.
“This is what it is all about.” Valoran thinks to himself
“What nonsense is this?” Merial questions with frustration and is ready to confront the group that opposes the group which believes in Valoran.
Merial takes two steps forward.
Valoran grabs her shoulder gently.
Merial turns around to face him slightly confused.
“Why did you stop me?” Merial questions in confusion.
“Let me handle this.” Valoran responds and moves further ahead closer to both groups.
“WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL ME!?” A Male student that doesn’t believe in Valoran yells in anger.
“I called you a fool.” The female responds.
“THAT’S IT!” The male student screams creating a magic circle.
“I WILL INCONORATE YOU!” The male student screams.
“BRING IT!” A male student that supports Valoran responds and also creates a magic circle of his own.
Sparks of fire surround the magic circles preparing to cast izaru (fire elemental magic).
The flames are ready to shoot out from the magic circles.
In the next moment both circles are destroyed.
“WHAT?!” The Valoran supporter questions in confusion.
“What happened to my magic?” The Valoran hater also questions in confusion.
“Both of you can’t use magic temporarily.” Valoran clears up the confusion.
Both face Valoran and are surprised he is standing right there.
“V-Valoran?” The Valoran supporters ask in surprise.
The ones that have hate toward Valoran look angered but remain quiet as they know that the chances of defeating him are low.
“Valoran, those people are fools for not believing in you.” The female points out.
“You three.” Valoran looks toward the group that supports him.
The three are quiet and ready to listen to what he has to say.
“I am grateful to you all for believing in me. However, don’t push that idealism toward others who think otherwise. If they choose not to believe in me then let them do so.” Valoran explains.
The three who support Valoran hang their heads in shame.
“We are sorry.” The male student apologises to the others and to Valoran.
With that the three Valoran supporters take their leave.
The three that don’t believe in Valoran also take their leave.
Valoran’s friends approach Valoran from behind.
“That’s something I didn’t want to happen.” Valoran shares with his friends.
“It’s unfortunate.” Artemsia adds on.
“I had a feeling that diversions between the ones that support you and do not would form.” Demonlise informs.
“Let’s head to the cafeteria.” Selina suggests.
“Good idea.” Biatrix agrees.
“Let’s get going.” Atticus states.
With that Valoran and the others head for the cafeteria to have lunch.
After having lunch Valoran and the others head back for the class hall.
They notice a letter placed on Valoran’s desk.
“A letter.” Merial points out.
“Open it, and read what it says.” Artemsia says.
Valoran picks up the letter and begins to read the letter.
Greetings Valoran Silver.
This letter is to inform you that in 3 days you are to arrive to be seated on the throne of the previous Magic King.
We will see you in 3 days.
“In 3 days you will be seated on the throne?” Merial questions.
“Yes, it will seem so.” Valoran replies.
“That’s incredible!” Biatrix and Selina both express happiness at the same time.
“Master, this is something you have dreamed of your whole life.” Demonlise also says with excitement.
“I know, in 3 days we will see if I truly am worthy to become the next King of Magic….”

Shadowrun: Blake Island School of Magic
It's a high tech, low life. It's the Seattle Metroplex in 2074. It rises like a steel and concrete cancer out of the earth. Poverty is rampant, corruption is everywhere, crime is out of control, corporations basically control everything, the old United States is fractured, magic has come back and now it turns out that humanity has been joined by elves, dwarves, orks and trolls. The old world ended but the rent is still due. Life goes on. You'd be surprised what people can adapt to, especially if they don't have a choice. One of the places where life goes on is just west of Seattle. Surrounded by the waters of the Puget Sound is an island. On that island is the Blake Island School of Magic. A decade ago it was known for producing some of the most talented awakened in the world. That reputation was hijacked by the wealthy corporate elite who now park their teenage children there. And since it's a boarding school, their parents mostly forget about them. Three young people, who are certainly not wealthy or elite, are chosen this year to attend this school of magic in hopes of revitalizing their reputation for talent. One from the ash drifts of the Puyallup Barrens, one from the most densely populated slum hive in the world and one from prison. This is their story. -- This story is set in the Shadowrun universe. If you're not familiar with Shadowrun, it mostly tells the stories of deniable mercenaries called shadowrunners in a cyberpunk dystopia. Instead of telling another story solely about shadowrunners, this story will tell the tale of young people navigating a world that is indifferent to them at best and actively hostile at worst. Shadowrunners will be in the story and we'll see them operate, but they won't be its main focus. This story originally began in 2017 as a passion project and continues to this day on the Somethingawful.com forums. The unedited version is over a million words strong. There are currently seven books in this series and I am currently in the process of editing them. If you read this story then you won't lack for content. -- The Topps Company, Inc. has sole ownership of the names, logo, artwork, marks, photographs, sounds, audio, video and/or any proprietary material used in connection with the game Shadowrun. Letters from Shanti Ashram, India
I lived in India from 1984-2005, and wrote to my parents regularly about my adventures in Indian ashrams. From 1984-1993 and again 2001-2005, I was living in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh, and I am adding all of those my "Letters from India" book, which will mainly be of interest to those familiar with Prasanthi Nilayam, the ashram of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. However, from 1994-2001 I was staying at a wonderfully spiritual, quiet retreat called Shanti Ashram, and I am putting the letters I wrote to my parents while staying there, on this book. The ashram was a dream come true for sadhana. The people are welcoming, it is usually never crowded, and they offer separate cottages to aspirants. The rates are donation basis only.
