《I Died and Got Summoned to Another World as a WHAT?!?!》Ep. 794 The Voyage Part 14

"Not yet, but you are stronger than you used to be. As long as you keep improving, you will get to the point where you don't need me anymore. The main problem right now is that you don't have any mages or healers. Huh, I wonder if I can make a wand for healing?"
Brightfire says "If you could, that would be awesome!"
"I already planned to make some defensive wands, so I will experiment with healing as well."
Brightfire says "If you need anything tested, or there is anything else I can do to help, just let me know!"
"Will do!"
With that I head back to the cabin and get to work on some new wands. For the three types of offensive wands I make fourteen sets, then I start experimenting with defensive wands. Since I already know how to do the hardest part it doesn't take me long to figure out the rest.
The only time I really run into a problem is when I try to make a healing wand. No matter how I try it, my Sacred Touch spell just won't stay in the wand. It is a mana based spell so it should work, but it just dissipates as soon as I put it into the wand.
"Seronia, got a second?"
Seronia says "For you? Always! What's up?"
"I want permission to experiment with divine power again. I am trying to make a healing wand for the elves to use."
Seronia says "Now that your soul is healed it should be fine. Just be careful and try not to blow anything up."
"Don't worry. My cabin has enchantments to help deal with any explosions!"
Seronia says "That just makes me more worried!"
"Don't worry, a small explosion can't possibly kill me!"
Seronia says "How can you be so sure?"

"I don't want to tell you, you will yell at me."
Seronia says "Why would I yell at you? Wait, how many times have you blown yourself up?!"
"See, even without me saying it you are already yelling at me!"
We argue back and forth a few more times over the next few minutes before she gets mad and starts ignoring me. It leaves me smiling, she gets so cute when she gets flustered I just can't help myself. Since she gave me permission I start experimenting with making a divine wand.
It actually turns out to be fairly easy, the only drawback is the wands are not rechargeable. Once the last healing charge is used the wand turns to dust and I don't know why. While I am glad it works, I am annoyed that I can't figure out why the wands are destroyed.
It goes back to my lack of knowledge, but I know even less about divine power than I do about mana. However, that probably won't change, I don't plan to become a priest or a god. So I do my best to force down my curiosity and dissatisfaction and bury them.
Then I go up on deck to find Brightfire and have her test out the wands for me. Once they are done I give her eleven sets and tell her to choose ten elves to be the wielders. The remaining three I plan to give to Stillwater, Silverstream and Silverleaf.
By the time I am done with everything the sun has been up for a few hours. When I get back to my cabin I wake up Nala and Albion to have some breakfast. After eating I head up and check our course and position, then I pick a cove. After informing Stillwater of the cove to head for, I take off and fly towards the next port city.

When I get close to the city I shapeshift into my eagle form to fly over the city and take a look. It is too early to bother scouting for any elves, but I memorize the city's layout. I pay special attention to the city gates to see if there are any specific requirements to enter.
Luckily, while there is a fee to enter I don't see the guards checking any kind of identification. Once I have verified that I fly away from the city for a bit and then land near the road. After looking around to make sure I am unobserved I shapeshift into human form.
Then I take out some materials and make some clothing that will fit me and not look too bad. Then I take the flame sword out of my pouch and put it on my back and start walking. Once I am on the road I follow it to the city and nervously approach the city gate.
As I stop before the guards I do my best to make sure my face doesn't show how nervous I am. While I am not worried about these guards being able to hurt me, I am worried about being discovered. If they are able to see through me easily, it means I won't be able to sneak around.
However, contrary to my worries, the bored gate guard barely looks at me and just asks for the entry fee. Luckily, I still have coins from the last time I played at being a human so I pay without saying a word. The coin isn't from this kingdom, but that doesn't seem to matter as the guard waves me in without a word.
It makes sense, if there is trade between the kingdoms then they should be used to seeing other country's currency. As I walk into the city my mood quickly improves, my gamble has paid off. Now that I am in the city I head for the docks and start looking through the various shops.
After a bit of wandering I find what I have been looking for, a shop that caters to ship captains. As soon as I walk in and see dozens of types of charts laid out I can't help but smile. Not only do they have the charts I need, but everything else a ship captain could need.
As I walk through picking up pretty much one of everything I can see the clerk's eyes light up. If this place works based on commission sales then I am probably about to make his month. The clerk has a huge smile on his face as he calculates the total price for everything.
Clerk says "Good sir, the total is one thousand seven hundred and sixty gold!"
After hearing the amount I start pulling gold out of my pouch and counting it out. At first the clerk just looks happy, but as I continue pulling gold out of the pouch his eyes widen. Right, bags of holding probably aren't common here, but it won't matter, I've got what I came for.
Once the clerk has verified the amount I start putting everything into my pouch. This makes the clerk's eyes go even wider, but this time I don't even notice. I am too busy thinking of the future, these charts cover half of the northern coast.
Since it is still early in the day I decide to spend some time wandering around the city. There isn't anything else I really need to do, I am just wasting time and relaxing. I am a little hungry so I eat food from a number of street stalls, but suddenly I find myself surrounded.
