《Grandpa Sweet Fist》V3P40- Various Ways

“Yes, they can.” Reunion immediately corrected. “Nexus is a different world. A world with low Qi, so not everyone on the planet can be a cultivator. In fact, most can’t. They just do not have the talent to sense the low amount of Qi around them, and only the very talented, or the very lucky, have a chance to become cultivators. Most the mystics recorded in Nexus’ history were extremely talented, and they are the out-liners, not the rank-and-file.”
Victor was about to curse when he focused on what Reunion said. He could accept that the mystic warriors of Nexus were geniuses, but the way Reunion said it was different.
“Reunion, you said ‘most’. What do you mean by that? Weren’t all of the mystics geniuses?”
The System just laughed. “No. From what I gathered, some of them were like you.”
“Like me? I don’t understand.” A very puzzled Victor said.
“My sweet summer child, let your senior explain it to you,” the System said as he pointed at himself, “you have me! Without meeting me, you would never have become a mystic warrior. You are not like the Old Man of Pui, you do not have enough talent. You were lucky, and there were a few mystic warriors like you throughout the history of Nexus. Lucky fools who had fortuitous encounters that allowed them to step on the path of cultivation.”
“So,” Victor drag out the word as he considered the implication, “it’s ‘not’ impossible for Gu Ming to become a cultivator?”
“It is.” Reunion corrected again, this time with a caveat. “Unless Gu Ming get outside help, he will never become a cultivator.”
“What sort of outside help?”
“Does it matter?” Reunion was getting annoyed, and he showed it. “Why are you so invested in this? The Old Man is not related to you at all.”

“I am curious to know how an untalented man can become a cultivator?” Victor replied with a smile.
The System huffed. Victor was playing him and the System knows it, but Victor was asking Reunion a question about cultivation techniques, something Victor knows the System would be more than happy to explain. Victor was right. The System was not happy, but this was not something he need to fight Victor on. Then, the System got an idea.
“There are various ways,” Reunion said before smiling. “I guess a method you can use something is the Qi Transfer technique. You can form a core for him. If Gu Ming has a core, he would be a low-level cultivator, and be considered a mystic warrior. Of course, you have not master the technique thus far, so...”
Victor frowned. “Reunion, you are not just saying that to get me to practice, are you? If you are, I can tell you it is unnecessary. I am far more worried about Takuma than the feelings of the Old Man. I still intend to master the technique sooner rather than later.”
Reunion just smiled at that. “Yet, you still have not mastered it. A little reminder never hurts anyone, right? The Qi Transfer technique hurt your cultivation in the short term but think of it as hitting two birds with one stone.”
“I rather not. I don’t mind using the technique to help my son, but I don’t want to help the Old Man ‘that’ much. Besides, Core Cultivation is totally different from what the Old Man is practising. It will be like poaching his student.”
Reunion chuckled. “I doubt he would care. I don’t think anyone on Nexus beside you and me will know the difference. Every method of cultivation is under the umbrella of ‘Mystic Warrior’ over here.”

Victor could only shrugged at that. That was sad and true. Before he met the System, he didn’t know there were differences either. However…
“That is something we could change.” Victor said. “Something we should change.”
“Wait, is that why you are asking so many questions? You want the people to have another form of cultivation beside yours? Why?”
Victor could see that Reunion was clearly surprised by his stance, and honestly, so was he. However, it felt right.
“I just think it would be weird if everything about cultivation comes from me. People are already suspicious about me suddenly becoming a mystic warrior, think how much worse it will be if I start telling people there are many different ways to become a mystic? There is no way for me to explain that. Having the Old Man be the ‘founder’ of his own Cultivation Art would be good for everyone.”
Reunion rubbed his chin for a moment before admitting, “Yeah, that makes sense. Even I would think it is ridiculous if you are the founder of every Art on the planet, but there’s really not much more you can do for Gu Ming if you don’t want to form a core for him. Gu Ming just don’t have the talent to be a cultivator on his own.”
“There must be some other way to make Gu Ming a cultivator. Something we can do.”
“By ‘we’, you mean ‘me’.” Reunion snorted but he did consider the request, “I guess the most viable alternative would be Monsterization.”
“Monster…you mean Monster Cultivation, right? Didn’t you say there are huge drawbacks to that Art?”
“There are, but it is a valid method.” Reunion said before scowling. “Don’t ask the question if you are not willing to accept the answer.”
Victor raised his hands in surrender, “Sorry, I was just surprised. You didn’t seem very interested in the Cultivation Art before. I am surprised you are recommending it now.”
“What makes you think I wasn’t interested in Monsterization Cultivation? I will have you know I am a cultivation connoisseur. I am interested in ‘all’ forms of cultivation. It is a passion of mine!”
“You didn’t try very hard selling Monster Cultivation to me. I just assumed you did not like it that much.”
“Well, you’re not wrong. I don’t really like it.” Reunion admitted. “It is crude and more of a cultivation shortcut than anything else. Even if you are successful, there are huge drawbacks.”

Dauntless: Origins
Snow white hair, blue eyes, pale. Devil, monster, mutt, failure. This story follows one Tyr Faeron, crown prince, heir primus and mass murderer. A wrathful, angry, and lost young man that has made it his goal to hunt down the men that killed his mother - and he is on the cusp of finishing the promise he'd made before her cairn stones so many years ago. On the surface he is duplicitous, whimsical, and base of cunning - but within the depths beyond the many masks he wears, something is waiting. Waiting for an end, the end he'd come to long for, whether it be to himself or any possible threats in his vicinity. After that long labor of vengeance is completed... Nobody knows, not even him - an arrogant and otherwise solitary individual with nothing in the way of friends - only the brothers of the blackguard who follow him through life as he pursues this mission. He was born a prince, but he'd be called a disappointment - failing to manifest the great power that he was born to before being summarily discarded by his father, a 250 year old 'primus'. That word again... Men who can shatter mountains and level cities, that's what he was supposed to be. Some call them demi-gods, all Tyr sees is a poor excuse for a parent. Time had made him bitter, cruel, and arguably psychotic - seeing only enemies wherever he looks. They'd come for him, too, one day - to wipe the slate clean and make room for another - and it's his conviction to ensure that he dies while taking as many of those rats with him. This is a story about finding acceptance, growth, and understanding - from the point of view of a cold and brutal individual who wears many masks. Of someone who was born to be the greatest emperor the eastern continent has ever seen - but he failed in that. Strong, yes, but only in the context of a man - Tyr's magic is weak. His convictions are weak. He has been made a beast of instinct by loss and a constant confronting of his own impotency in the face of his father. A mythos that stretches across planes, of magic, a pantheon of cruel gods. Of someone who's dedicated his entire mind to the art of killing a man, and none to living a normal childhood or coming to understand friendship, empathy, or compassion. The first five years of his life a mystery, a hole none have ever been willing to fill, leaving him warped and twisted. His formative years gone and what must've been most of his humanity along with it. Now 17, he is on the cusp of leaving the city he'd never been permitted to leave for what might be the first time in his life. Always searching, though he won't know what for, for some time. An episodic that follows experience and symbolism rather than a never ending series of battles - where the conflict lay in constantly searching for wholeness in lieu of great villains or heroes. This is where it all started, the origin, the tale told a million times - and yet it hadn't been, 'reality' is tricky like that. The greatest lie ever told by the tongue that speaks is that any of this was real at all.

World Labyrinth
Meet our hero: an average young man with an average life, who ended up dying while working an average job. However, he's a given a chance to see another world at the final crossroads of his old life. The catch... well... he knows there's one. There always is. But, hey, when you're about to die, you take whatever opportunity's provided to you. This is the young man's story in the new world as he learns he can't afford to be average anymore. AUTHOR'S NOTE: I've decided to put this note up due to some comments and ratings left for this ORIGINAL FICTION complaining its boring. This story starts slow and it takes time for things to pick up. Also the MC doesn't start off as superman or become superman magically in two chapters. He also is AVERAGE... so it takes time to build up his character. Starting chapter 14 or so things pick up, but this isn't a pure hack and slash and skills level up story like most of the FF on this site. Just giving you a warning, so you don't end up disappointed and end up having to post large paragraphs complaining about the story... I also post on average every TWO OR THREE DAYS, so you'll get more to read.
