[ Berfor ]
“You said you killed all of them right? The cultists?”
[ Eric ]
“I thought that I did… But one of the blessed survived. One week ago. I fought against rebels in the Noreka clan. One of them claimed to be the first follower of a new god and the one who helped him escape was the cultist.”
[ Berfor ]
“If Mani is alive and revived she can bring more blessed people as her servants. She won’t stop whatever she is doing.”
[ Eric ]
“About that. I don’t know exactly what happened but I met someone or something that was after her. From what Tae told me. Something bizarre happened the night I killed Astvar murdered. Something happened to the moon but I don’t remember what.”
[ Berfor ]
“Who was after her? Who was after the goddess?”
[ Eric ]
“It was some kind of wolf. He said his name was… umm… Hati. I think.” Once I said that name Berfor sat on the chair and looked at the ground.
[ Berfor ]
“If what you’re saying is true… Then the prophecy is being fulfilled…”
[ Eric ]
“What prophecy?”
[ Berfor ]
“Ragnarok… The Ragnarok is coming… The first sign is disappeared of both the moon and the sun. What you said means that the moon was eaten. The next one will be the sun.”
[ Eric ]
“When will it happen? Does it say in that prophecy?”
[ Berfor ]
“We don’t know. It might happen any time now or even in the next century. Prophecy only says about the signs, not precise dates. Even gods don’t know them.”
I told everything that happened after we left Sehus with Astvar. From the underwater temple to meeting Kyle in Noreka’s Clan land. He praised me for my achievements and gathered his thought after all I said. It was a lot of information. He thinks that there is a possibility of Ragnarok and war between gods. Especially when there will be a new one among them.

“Cariva. Remember the name of the goddess. If someone follows her… He is a clear enemy.:
While I was leaving his office when I opened the door there wasn’t a street of Sehus behind it but a black space. I stepped in knowing what was really happening. There it was. The chair in the middle of nowhere.
[ Eric ]
“You summoned me?”
[ Loki ]
“One of my pawns is going into dangerous ground. Of course, I have to check on you.”
[ Eric ]
“Before you say anything more. I have a question.”
[ Loki ]
“What is it…”
[ Eric ]
“Mani was killed or rather eaten by Hati. What Berfor told me is that a sign of the upcoming Ragnarok. Is that true?” Loki remained silent for a while. “Is it true or are you not gonna tell me?”
[ Loki ]
“Unpreventable future… Yes. Mani being eaten is something that my father had foreseen.”
[ Eric ]
“Your father?”
[ Loki ]
“Odin. You dumbass… Once I heard the prophecy I spend a lot of time pranking every god. Thinking that the end is near. I made Thor really angry at me. Some gods wanted me dead and they didn’t hide that intention from my father anymore. Then I had a great idea for solving the problem of Ragnarok. Some gods agreed with me and others not. Especially Sol.”
[ Eric ]
“Wow. If she hates you… good thing I didn’t tell Pure Sun who blessed me…”
[ Loki ]
“My plan was to kill Mani before Hati eats her. I was the one who killed her. Didn’t hide that fact from anyone. I made sure that I killed her. Even threw her body into flames in Muspelheim and watched her burn. While I killed her body her soul escaped somewhere. Somehow she made a new body and got eaten by Hati.”

[ Eric ]
“How did she pull that off? How you didn’t notice this?!”
[ Loki ]
“Gods. We are special. We can do almost everything. But we are somehow limited. That’s why there are so many of us. To limit each other's potential.”
[ Eric ]
“So the god of trickery was tricked?”
[ Loki ]
“You better shut up human.” As he said that I felt the pressure through my whole body.
[ Eric ]
“Okay! Calm down! I take it back! I take it back!” The pressure went away. “Also. One of her followers is still alive.”
[ Loki ]
“Her followers lost all their powers. They are no longer blessed. Just a normal human.”
[ Eric ]
“But the one left alive still has his powers. He helped the guy who said that is a follower of a new god. He called her Cariva.”
[ Loki ]
“New god? Haha! Funny joke. Haha… Never heard of her.:
[ Eric ]
“Her follower had strong spells even though he is not blessed. At least from what I know he was born here.”
[ Loki ]
“Strong? Or you were too weak for him?”
[ Eric ]
“Changing his whole body? Making people into living bombs? I wouldn’t call that weak.”
[ Loki ]
“If what you’re telling is true… This new ‘god’ needs a warm welcome…”
The dark space slowly fades away with Loki's laughter. I was on a street where I was supposed to be when leaving Jarl’s house. The longer I think about it the more I get how bad the situation is. Kyle is plotting something probably with that goddess. I might get some answers about Kyle when I free Tae.
