《Judah Judas Adventures》Chapter 179 - Mircea Tungstein

We came face to face with the remaining of Tungsten family member. We are now meeting face to face with that remaining member. Derek has done a good job helping me find the survivor of the same curse as I. Now, that I know who is that members, the thing has got a bit awkward for all of the prisoners around the camp. And that is because the person is Mircea.
"You are a member of Gremory family!" says Mircea shocked.
"You are a member of Tungstein family!" I say at the same time with Mircea, also shocked by this information.
"You two knew each other?" asks Derek confused.
"We both lived at the same Orphanage." I say to Derek. "Are you sure you are correct?"
"I am correct." say Derek. "This kid totally looks like one who lives in Tungstein family. Plus, I have the information from this kid father, before he passed away."
"He passed away?" asks Mircea shocked. "Who was my father?"
"The father of yours." says Derek to Mircea. "Was known as a slacker and war criminal. He committed a lot of genocide every time when a war broke out. He was a normal knight, who was not afraid to get beheaded for doing crimes against humans in the war because he was the best soldier of his unit and commander of that said unit. He died due to a stroke, but before he died, he somehow made a hooker pregnant who brought you to life in Dobrat, and from there, as the sources told me, you have been sent to the Orphanage."
"I know that my mother sent me to the Orphanage." say Mircea. "But I did not know my Father was... an evil person."
"Back then, Kingdom of Romania was ruthless and was not afraid to declare war on anybody, in my opinion." says Fiona. "So his actions were quite justifiable."
"You also have a point, Fiona." says Derek. "Now, back to the present."

Derek looks at me, then at Mircea, and he closes his eyes. The people who were imprisoned gathered around us, while some other were taking their chances and ran way from here, hoping to find a better help in the nearest village. Derek then, takes out a small knife on his right hand, he walk a few steps to Mircea.
"You have to do a small cut on your palm of the hand."
"Do it." says Mircea after a few seconds of restraining himself from injuring himself. He shows him the palm of the hand to Derek, who starts to make a small cut. Enough for us to touch each other blood.
"Now you, Judah." says Derek turning around at me.
As Derek walked closer to me, I showed him my hand, like Mircea did and does to him. He made a small cut on my hand. It hurts a bit, but it will heal with time. It is such a bad luck that mages and wizards are not able to heal themselves, but it is also a good thing to combat an enemy wizard, mage and sorcerer.
Then he told us to shake the hands with cut opens. We walk closer to each other, shake the hands with open cuts and then, we stay still. After that he tells us to say to each other "I forgive you and your family".
"I forgive you and your family Tungstein." I say to Mircea.
"I forgive you and your Family Gremony."
"Gremory." I correct Mircea, who was never good with remembering names.
"Gremory." says Mircea, feeling a bit awkward.
Nothing happened after a few seconds which made Derek, Fiona and the other people gathered confused.
"What's going on?" asks an old man from the group of prisoners.
"Strange." says Derek approaching the young boys, a bit confused. "The curse should have been lifted by now."
"We didn't have to say anything else as we share blood?" asks Mircea as he continues to hold my hand.
"That was everything." responds Derek. "That means the curse has already been lifted."

"What do you mean was already lifted?" I ask Derek confused.
"Wait! Judah." says Mircea. "Remember that time when we accidentally share blood?"
"Yeah, we both had cut opens at the hands." remembering that my childhood friend and I had a lot of accidents at the Orphanage where both of us share, by accident, blood. "That means..."
"The curse was lifted before this!" says Derek and Fiona at the same time.
I look at Mircea, he looks at me. We both laughed out loud because of this. We were both saved from this curse a long time ago, and ended our generation's curse.
We stayed there for a few moments, discussing with the prisoners and telling them what to do, while I, Judah Gremory, Fiona, Derek and Mircea are heading to the house to see how the battle was unfolded. As we are walking to that house, I heal Mircea wound made by Derek, and Fiona uses her healing powers of Vewolf, by spitting into my open wounds, to heal the cut.
***
When we arrived at the house that belonged to Thornosian Family, we found it is in ruin. Hundreds of corpses that resemble the devils and some unlucky knights are lying on the grounds, at the stairs of the house, outside the house and on the interior of the house. We looked around the area, we noticed a few carriages transporting the wounded knights and other wounded prisoners. I do not know here the other wounded prisoners come from, because Fiona and with me only saw one floor with cells for prisoners.
"This was a brutal fight." says Mircea seeing countless bodies on the grounds.
"This is a normal fight." responds Fiona to Mircea approaching a knight body, she takes off his helmet, and she shows a smile on her face. "Ey, Judah. Come here."
I walk to Fiona, and I look the knight she took off the helmet. When I saw the face of the knights, thanks to the torches and the huge campfire, I laughed at the knight. The dead knight is none other than Henderson. He was a piece of poop in the wars and general, but now, we can live happily and safely. After all, he was about to become the next king of the Kingdom of Romania.
"Why are you two laughing at a corpse of a poor man?" asks Mircea worried.
"This person was far from poor." says Fiona, and she walks away from the corpse of Henderson.
"I'll explain later. But for now, let's find Timmy. Okay?" I say to Mircea, and we both walk around the place, searching for Timmy body.
We searched for him for a while, but thankfully, there were a knight, who was managing the carriages. That knight explained to us, he carried a carriage with kids who were prisoners of this war, and delivered them to the nearest healing places. This made both of throw a fresh air, because Timmy is safe and in good hands.
After a few moments, we left this house, get into a carriage with other knights who stayed there to take away as much information, and they could. Before we left, we say our goodbyes to Derek. Without him, we wouldn't have known the curse was actually ended a long time ago by fate. In the carriage was me, Fiona, and other three knights, who have taken a few wooden crates with a lot of parchment who contains property information Thornosian family owned. With these things, the Kingdom is able to hold the properties this noble with human skin used to hold.
As the carriage was running far from the house, we see the building being set on fire. An image that made all three of us, I, Derek and Fiona, happy to see. We managed to accomplish our mission, meet the person from the rival family and live happily and with a good feeling that we stopped a demon attack to our race.

Sufficiently Advanced
A Novella about magic vs aliens vs science. It's a raucous, campy sci-fi read involving humans gaining magic, a possibly pizza-hating alien empire, the decapitation of the US Federal Government, eldritch abominations, lesbian space witches and some medium-hard science.I wouldn't say it's not serious, but I wouldn't say it's serious. Eh, it's not serious. Wait... it's getting serious.
