《The Legacy of Gilgamesh》Chapter 37 The Five Empires

Gone are the days where 30 years on earth equated to just one day in the mystical realm of Gaia. With the advancements in the world's rules and system have resulted in a staggering decline in time difference, reducing the equivalent to less than 20 years on earth.
The decline in the flow of time within the Gaia World has resulted in a significant reduction in the source of income of Origin. This change in the pace of time is a direct result of the continually improving and perfecting rules within the world.
Rico faced a situation that was beyond his control, so he made the decision to accept the situation and move forward with his plans. The next phase of his plan involved entering the Gaia World and searching for a suitable location to absorb the Star Dust within the Galaxy Web.
Rico found a quiet corner and began the process of absorbing the Star Dust. The process went smoothly, and the Star Dust entered his body without any complications. Although the absorption was slow and the density of the Star Dust was less than expected, Rico was pleased with the outcome as it was exactly what he had intended.
However, the amount of Star Dust that Rico had just absorbed was only a fraction to the amount his body contained. Rico already possessed one unit of Origin, and once one reach this stage, they would have the power to destroy mountains with ease. The newly absorbed Star Dust, now flowing like a river through his energy points, increased his power significantly, leading Rico to name this new level of power the "Starlight Realm."
The next crucial step in Rico's plan was to share the secret of this power to his people’s and help the human race in the Gaia World attain the same level of strength. This was to be accomplished by spreading the original Three Heaven Meditation Method, which would guide the people of Gaia on their path to becoming super-powered beings.

Following centuries of conflict and war, the political landscape of the Gaia continent had finally stabilized, leading to the formation of several countries with unique landscapes, climates, and cultures. Each country had its own distinct traditions and ways of life, but they all shared a common goal of becoming more powerful and reaching their full potential.
The Achaemenid Empire, a fearsome kingdom located in the northern regions near the ice sheets, was known for its brutal ways and its inhabitants, who were said to have evolved to be hairier than the people from other regions. The western countries referred to the Achaemenids as "barbarians," a reputation earned after the Hundred Year War.
In the south, surrounded by the scorching sands of the Gobi Desert, was the Kushite Empire. The Babylonian Empire was located near the sea in the western regions, while the Assyrian Empire occupied the lush Eden Plain and considered themselves the "Mesopotamian race." The eastern region was home to the powerful and central Holy Church, an entity that held immense influence across the entire continent.
Each of these powerful kingdoms possessed unique traits, cultures, and beliefs, making the Gaia World a fantastical realm filled with diversity and wonder. From the icy north to the scorching south, from the western seaboard to the lush Eden Plain, the Gaia World was a melting pot of different civilizations, each with its own unique story to tell. The conflicts and rivalries between these kingdoms added to the fantastical nature of this magical world, making it a place of endless possibilities and adventure.
In addition to the great empires, the Gaia World was also home to numerous smaller countries and tribes, as well as independent city-states. Some of these entities were dependent on the five great empires, while others formed alliances with each other.

The people of the Achaemenid Empire, located in the northern region of the Gaia continent, were known for their lower level of literacy and the scarcity of food. Despite these challenges, the northern region was the largest landmass, making up for the other difficulties. Upon forming their empire, the Achaemenids developed their own unique religion, centered around the worship of Crayus the Chaos God, the deity of war who was believed to have created both life and death.
Moreover, the people of the northern region of the Gaia World had gradually forgotten their past and the journey that brought them to the northern region. They believed that they had always lived in the northern region, but this was only the case for the common folk. The leaders and generals of the Achaemenid Empire were acutely aware of their history and the sacrifices that their forefathers made to establish the powerful empire that now stood. The bond that was formed through the shedding of blood was indescribable, unbreakable and undeniable.
As for the unexplored oceans, they were considered too dangerous to venture into due to the abundance of treacherous reefs that surrounded the continent. For now, the focus was on developing the land and expanding the boundaries of the great empires. The horizon of the ocean was viewed as a great waterfall by many, a mysterious and untamed frontier that still held secrets and untold wonders. Despite this, the people of the Gaia World were filled with hope and a sense of adventure, eager to explore and uncover the secrets that lay hidden beyond their shores.
The southern islands, surrounded by crystal-clear waters, teeming with exotic marine life, are a mystery waiting to be explored. The vast and untouched beauty of these islands is still unrivaled, despite only a few pockets of civilization near the mainland using them as fishing villages. These villages, with their vibrant cultures and traditions, are places where the local fishermen tell tales of sea monsters and sunken treasures, passing down their rich cultural heritage from generation to generation.
During this period of peace and prosperity, agriculture has thrived on the Gaia continent, bringing in bountiful harvests that have supported the explosive growth of the population. People from all walks of life have flocked to the cities, seeking new opportunities and a better way of life. With no outside threats to contend with, the people of Gaia have been free to focus on their own growth and development, leading to the emergence of a new era of prosperity and progress. Today, the population of the Gaia world is estimated to be over hundreds of millions, a testament to the strength and resilience of the human spirit.
And there are still many vast territories in the Gaia World that are untouched by human settlement, providing ample opportunities for the population to grow and thrive. However, during his observation, Rico stumbled upon an intriguing happening that he had inadvertently set into motion. Near a small, unremarkable city-state, surrounded by rolling hills and dense forests, and was relatively unknown to the rest of the world a group of people was quietly and covertly digging up the remains of a long-lost tomb from the ancient past. The mere presence of the tomb suggests that there may be untold secrets and treasures buried beneath the surface, waiting to be uncovered and rediscovered.

Disclaimers: Chapter Frequency: I aim for one chapter a week. Chapter Length: I try to keep chapters between 3000 and 6000 words. Binge Preference: I plan for 30 chapters per arc. If you want to binge a complete arc, then that is the number to wait for. I will also add a line to chapters indicating the beginning and end of an arc. Advanced Access: I have created a patreon page with early access to four chapters for patrons. What to Expect: Progression fantasy with a western fantasy setting and with eastern fantasy elements. A main character that is forced to explore a very narrow path of magic due to a permanent condition. A main character that is a part of a larger cast. A main character that is growing but won't become the strongest around anytime soon. A story following a single main character but with introduction or theme setting scenes without the main character. What Not to Expect: Edgy grimdark characters – I will never write a sexual violence scene or gory descriptions of torture. I hate reading it and I would hate writing it even more. Romance – romantic relationships will never be the focus of the story and only appear in the background. The main character is preoccupied with other stuff. Other forms of relationships (family, friends, companions) play a bigger role. Cover: The cover art was commisioned from redditor Linh-Nguyen87. The font is alita brush by Inovatype Typefoundry.
