《The Forgotten Gods》Chapter 336

It took longer than the rest of the day outside to make my replacement parts. I wasn’t satisfied with how the eye worked until about day seventy, my time. I was no longer using a dungeon-created eyeball but instead was working on a gem. Things had gone well from the first one, each getting a bit better.
Lilac had kept herself mostly scarce. I had talked to her only two other times, and the rest of her time seemed to be up in her room. Which I was completely fine with. I didn’t feel like talking with anyone as I had gotten focused on my crafting.
The flood of people from outside had also stopped as they had all come through to get food. While they couldn’t take it with them, they ate as much as possible before leaving. They also were used to only one meal a day, so I only had to put up with them one other time.
During that time, I was very grateful that I had let Lilac in. She sat up at one table away from me and talked with everyone that came in. She sent a few to a room, but most came in quickly, ate at her request, and then left. Once the flood of people left, she gave me a deep curtsy, turned, and headed back upstairs.
The next day Dave introduced me to potions that could cut my sleep needs down to just about two hours a night. This meant I could work even more, which I needed as I hated not walking. With fewer hours of sleep, I was able to get even more work done.
That said, even in those two hours, I gained more understanding of the past. It seemed like whatever was letting me dream of Maximus was tied to me. So I had several more dreams of him as I worked on my body. Hundreds of years passed through the dreams as he slowly but surely stopped guiding people towards the Sisters. He set up his temples and drew people to worship him as the god of Seasons and Harvest.
More than that, however, he got many gods to stop worshiping the sisters. Those that he didn’t think he could change, he helped them move on—leaving the world with fewer and fewer who even knew of the Sisters.

I even watched as he created the very necklace from which much of my power came. The first core he used went into a sword the next went into a breastplate. Then a grand throne that he had built and spent years adding enchantments to. Unlike me, however, the items that he added a core to were all godly level, to begin with.
The dreams gave me things to ponder as I crafted. His creation of the necklace made me go back and check it. So much had happened since I had made the lamp that this was the first time I had brought the necklace back up in the interface. What I saw was surprising, to say the least.
Still, it showed up in the bright purple writing it had always been in.

It was still aggravating not to have a better set of help files. The necklace showed that I could create Soul Attuned cores, but I didn’t know what those were. It was also telling me that I could make advanced cores. Once again, I had no idea what I was looking at. What was worse, or perhaps just a little more frightening, was that I could now consume a Dungeon.

I sat back and looked at the consume dungeon option. I couldn’t fathom what I would need that kind of power for and what it would let me do if I consumed one. Just the thought of it started to boggle my mind. Then I looked over at Dave and shook my head. I wouldn’t be able to call a Dave into existence by opening a safe room and then consume the place. Perhaps I could if it didn’t have a safe room, but I just wasn’t sure.
I shook my head slightly and created a standard core. I knew what I was after and wasn’t willing to try out the unknown right now. I smiled as I started to place my core into my new eye. I had been working on this thing for over two months, and it was time to see how it worked.
I expected to see a world’s first popup as the core went in. However, nothing showed up. I shook my head slightly and retook a look at it. Then I grinned. I had lost out on the world’s first cored eyeball. But that gave me options that I didn’t have before.
It might have been a loss of the endless leveling of my eye, but that just meant that I could make a better eye now that I could see what was happening. I could now unleash my creativity. Knowing how the eye would react to the core, I could iterate much faster. This meant I created about 15 different models before I found the one I was happy with.
I pulled up the interface for the eye I planned on using for the most part. The interface popped up with its black background and gold writing.

This custom-made eyeball was crafted to fit a human eye. While the size is correct, no one could mistake that this eye is natural. Crafted from a blue gemstone and covered in runes, each of the one hundred and twelve facets has a complex set of tiny runes filled with gold.
This eye provides the user with many advantages over other eyes, including dark vision, mana tracing, trap detection, and life vision. The eye will also take anything written and turn it into a page in the eye’s item description. Thus letting the maker of the eye who failed to learn to read be able to fool others.
>Growth
To level your item core, you must use it for its purpose and provide it material to level to the next level.
Griffin Eye 0% Ground powerstone 0% Mithral 0%
>Traits
Durable- This eye is durable, it will not wear out from normal use durability will only decrease with targeted attacks. Mana reservoir- 40 mana unlinked 75 mana linked to traits. Recharges at a rate of 10 mana per hour can be forced charged. Dark Vision- Lets you see in complete darkness in Black and White Range 50 feet, 1 mana per minute of use. Mana Tracing- Lets you see the flow of mana. Range 20 feet, 10 mana per minute of use Far Vision- Increased magnification of five times. Minimum range 5 feet, 1 mana per 10 minutes of use Near Vision- Increased magnification of five times. Maximum range 5 inches, 1 mana per 10 minutes of use Trap Detection- Outlines level 5 and under traps within 10 feet in green. Life Vision- Lets you see the central life force of creatures. Range 25 feet.
I was happy with the way that the eye came out. I had thought about putting an attack spell in the eye but chose not to, at least not on this eye. I needed the vision to help make other things, and I had run into too many times that I needed to see in the dark. I would have liked the Dark Vision to have been in color, but I was overall happy. Especially so as this was a level 0 version, and this could grow to level 33.

Hero
Kuren is just your average boy. He's just been asleep for one thousand years. Heroes and grand epics. Kuren doesn't have the time to think about things like that, nor does he really care. Join Kuren as he wanders the fantasy land of Alurca in search of his lost memories and the reasons behind his lengthy slumber. This is sort of a reboot of Anomaly, the first novel I tried to write. I gave up Anomaly after going to college. I thought about going back to it, but... when I look at it now, it's not very good. It was very edgy and not much substance behind that edge. The story wasn't quite going anywhere since I hadn't given the main character a goal. I had planned out a story, but I forgot to to plan out the details between the beginning and end. So this one's for real. Hopefully you won't be disappointed.

Avatar: Jǫrðsaga
There is beauty in Chaos and serenity in Order. One cannot exist without the other. Each gives meaning to their counterpart, eternal rivals and eternal lovers. It’s a shame only a rare few ever come to this revelation. Most live their lives trapped in an illusion, their path to enlightenment forever cut off. A lie will forever remain a lie, no matter how sweet it is. I will not turn a blind eye to the truth of the world. It matters not what others think of me, be they family, friends, allies, or enemies. They may call me a monster, a devil, a lunatic even. But I will not bend. I will not break. I will not be forced into conformity under threat posed by the child of Order. Because what is Order if not Chaos’ accomplice? There is only one path worth treading, and I will do whatever it takes to advance forward. For I am Sǫlmundr, Lord of the Earth. Avatar series fanfic. The first volume will not have anything canon. I apologise in advance. It will be setting up the mcs background and origins. It’s gonna be between 60 to 70 chapters in length. The power system in the avatar is pretty non-confrontational. You don’t have to fight for resources like in cultivation novels, so the frequency of his evil acts will be pretty spread out. This is a slow burn novel that I hope will draw readers into the world and slowly build up to whatever the climax of each arc is. I can only promise that he will always be a rational, benefits based mc. No harem. There will be love of some sort, but only because I’m literally forced by the power system to include it. Don’t worry though, mc will always prioritise his own interests first and will not let feelings get in the way. Chapter length: ≈ 2k words Updates: Once a week

Sometimes my voice dies in my throat, buries itself beneath waves of crippling suffocation, burns itself out as cold hands tear at my laced skin. I have smiled while my eyes have cried and pleaded, my wrists numb, my lips wobbling and blue, and stars escaping this dark night that I'm trapped in. I long for a darkness that gives way to light. But I do feel the warmth of petals gathering and scattering in my cold bones, and imagine the touch and the sweetness of a kiss, and my heart rises to the surface of this sea and finds a sky painted by passing artists remaining far above our heads. I'm breathing out all the words I've kept locked under the pages of my breaking mind. And by doing so, I'm going to heal.TRIGGER WARNINGS: depression, anxiety, self harm, suicidal thoughts, OCD, panic attacks
