《INTO THE ARCHAILECT》CHAPTER 198

All he had gone through, every obstacle he had faced, every agony he had surpassed from the onset of his journey, everything cumulated to this very moment, and Moyo, the titan blade, could very much say nothing compared to the pain he was feeling this very moment. It wasn’t describable, it wasn’t something explainable, it just was, and he honestly had no idea why he still existed. Pikes of pure abyssal mutation pinned him to the ground right in front of Molrik, the mutator battling Mardar and Altair leisurely as both jade and ancient fought for their very lives, struggling under the onslaught of the mutator.
Few seconds had passed, but to the titan blade, it felt like hours, the pain and agony tearing through his body and mind came together in pure unbridled soul reaping agony in his very core. Still, he held on, his very eyes wept abyssal fluid, his body turned mottled gray even as his aspect fought off the mutator’s touch desperately, keeping him in a perpetual cycle of life and death. His body shuddered as his aspect flared, his mind crashing into a vision that came from nowhere, unable to fight nor speak, he stared,
*****************************
The immortal being, known as the titan, stood at the edge of the growing celestial sun, his eyes locked on the towering figure that stood before him. The being was an aberration from time non-existent, the ancient being that had existed since the dawn of reality. It radiated a sickly aura that seemed to decay and break down the very reality around it. Its eyes glowed with an unholy light, and its skin was covered in a thick, black ichor that dripped from its every pore. The titan had faced many of its lesser forms from the onset of his creation, but he had never faced the being itself, not with its full strength.
The being’s powers were unlike anything he had ever faced, reeking of pure chaos itself and the titan knew that he would need all of his strength and skill if he was to defeat it. Without a word, the titan drew his power in the shape of a blade from reality itself, the blade glinting in the light of stars and celestial bodies yet created. The chaos being, a great coiling form of a serpent hissed, its lips curling back to reveal rows of razor-sharp teeth. It raised its head and roared, and the titan felt a wave of chaos energy wash over him, threatening to wipe him from existence.
Preparing his celestial body, the titan charged forward, his sword held high. The serpent lashed out with a clawed hand, but titan moved with a speed akin to light. He dodged the blow and swung his sword with all his might, the blade singing yet unspoken words of creation as it sliced through reality. The serpent howled in pain as the sword struck its flesh, the black ichor oozing from the wound. It retaliated with another wave of chaos energy, but the titan was ready.
He focused his willpower and summoned a shield of energy that surrounded him, deflecting the wave of chaos and protecting him from harm. The battle raged on, with the titan and the serpent exchanging blow after blow. The titan’s sword cut through the serpent's flesh, while the chaos being’s powers threatened to corrupt and mutate the titan’s body. But the titan had the full might of creation and reality behind him, he was too strong, too determined, and too skilled. He refused to yield to Apophis's powers, and with each passing moment, he grew stronger.

Finally, with a mighty roar, the titan struck the killing blow, plunging his sword deep into the serpent’s body. The chaos serpent let out a final scream, and then crumbled to dust, its powers dissipating into the deepest corners of reality, splitting into fragments incoherent but whom would create their own existences, never to become one unified being, at least, not for a long time. The titan stood victorious, his celestial form flickering with exertion. He looked up into reality, his eyes shining with a fierce light, eyes staring at his reincarnation,
Eyes staring at Moyo,
The titan knew that the snake would rise once again, he knew that there would be other battles to fight, other evil existences to vanquish, but that was a responsibility he had bequeathed to his reincarnation, to Moyo. But for now, he had proven to his reincarnation it was possible, that reality and order could beat back the ever-hungry tides of chaos,
He had proven to Moyo that he was indeed worthy of the title titan, the greatest existence that reality had ever known, and it was possible to tap into it,
The source of creation, to the very life force that made aether, intent, mana, aura and all other existences that beings today used,
The titan’s very aspect, the prime aspect,
And with these being revealed to Moyo, his body froze, cracks of light emanating from him as his form began to vibrate,
“I…...protect” he whispered, even in the very depths of pain and agony, his words echoed through reality and abyss alike,
******************************************************
The man with a reed hat felt the power pour through reality and froze, hand gripping his blade so tight, his body locked for combat, and yet he couldn’t move, couldn’t utter a word and could only wonder what it was. He summoned his link to his being, the one who sent him and with dread realized, he couldn’t feel it, with all haste he pushed his ship further to reach the planet in time…
**********************************************
Teisha felt the power rip the gates asunder, she felt the power pour into the realm of the mutator and she felt the power burn everything within distance to ashes, nothing was left alive, nothing visible for the eyes to see. She felt the flames of Lotes sputter out, felt her powers dim and the sheer weight of pyre dragged her straight to the ground below, all these happened in the briefest of seconds, but all these didn’t shock her as the sight of ajax omega blade being stripped of his powers and falling to the ground with a piercing scream.
She watched as he crashed, watched as he passed out and with the raw strength of a ruler, she lifted pyre with all her strength and bolted for the broken pathway that was steadily closing up, pushing with an exertion she hadn’t felt since her early days as an expert training in the brigade. She made it just as the pathway was about to splinter to pieces, passing through and catching a glimpse of the omega blade as he stirred.

Molrik had felt fear only a handful of times in his entire existence, the first being when he ascended to the position of a lord of the abyss and had witnessed just what exactly he…...he didn’t remember, but he knew something vital must had scared him to his very existence. The second was when he had fought Tiamat Kairos after his botched attempt at dragging the planet Tartarus and its entire system into the abyss and witnessed just how strong the mother of monsters was. There were a few other periods as well, but what he witnessed now,

What he witnessed drove pure terror into his existence, his had been about to end the existence of the ancient and the jade, the planet was his and his foothold secured in the archailect. Then his instincts screamed at him to flee as yet he was frozen to the spot, some primal fear gripping him in its clutches as he felt his link to his aspect burn away, some greater power snatching it and rending it to shreds. Reeling from the power, he could only watch as the planet was scoured clean of his presence, the seas flowed again with clean water, plants and trees grew, the skies became clear of his presence.
And then his forces simply disintegrated to ashes, his great pathway exploding but not before the form of the avatar of fire bursting out as it shattered and exploded in purple and gold flames. Molrik felt the pressure as some power, similar but greater to the very aether that made reality burn through the air, and the lord mutator trembled.
The very stars and sun that the planet rotated across become visible in the night skies, the very void battle that had been going on between his forces and the archailect’s suddenly ceasing as his forces burned out of existence. He turned his head to where he had piked the anathema known as the titan blade and pure cold went down his physical frame as he aged eons in seconds.
The creature wasn’t there, and his mutation pikes were gone, vanished, in its place a lush garden,
Trembling, he turned to see the being in front of him, golden and purple eyes blazing as Molrik whimpered. The being cocked his head, staring to the skies as a streak of light was rapidly coming towards their position, tsking in distaste, it stepped backwards and snapped its fingers, a ripple of power going out to the ancient and jade who were half alive at that point.
Molrik watched all the damage that he had done to the both of them vanish in an instant, their bodies repaired to peak condition as they jolted awake. The being turned to them, placed one finger to its lip and nodded at them, then promptly slumped to the ground, an awkward silence filling the entire area. Then the oppressive power was gone, Molrik feeling his link to his aspect snap back in place, feeling it tremble at the power that had seized it and immediately attempted to end the existence of the one known as the titan blade.
It couldn’t allow such an existence to persist, not when it could pose a threat to he and his sibling’s very existence. Different things happened all at once, whitish blistering runes burst out in place as his powers were summarily burnt and blasted aside, blades that hummed with pure ancient power bordering on the rank of primordial skewered where he had been standing a mere second ago and flames of lutes scorched the very ground he had stood as well.
Noticing the flames didn’t harm the grass of plant life around him, Molrik twisted in the air, attempting to call his realm to him and grasping nothing, confusion in his mind. That moment of lapse made him taste a bite of a blade so powerful he screamed as he lost a limb, crashing to the ground as he regrew the limb almost immediately,
Almost, he realized,
That oppressive power, that power that sealed away his presence still hummed in the air, no, it was the planet itself now. However that was the least of his worries, his worry however, was the being that stood directly in front of him,
“I wondered when they would send their lackeys” Molrik snarled, a staff of arcane abyssal power forming in his hands,
He gripped it tight as he realized the power of the staff was being leeched away, leeched into the very soil of the ground and transformed into pure aether. Again he bit back the fear in his mind,
Just what have the supreme beings created? He wondered,
How had he and his siblings overlooked such a weapon being created under their noses?, the man in front of him wore a plain white robe, a blue sigil carved into it at the chest area and in his hand, a plain blade. The man sighed as he removed his reed cap, revealing pure white hair and eyes ringed with white light,
“Zane true blade, just what power has your beings unleashed?’ Molrik snarled,
The eyes of Zane true blade flicked to the form of the titan laying on the ground, protected by the ancient on the cusp of becoming a primordial and a jade whose power, Molrik suspected was reaching the height of the aether blessed himself. Zane shrugged,
“don’t know, could care less, here to end you, all I care” he shrugged in his trademark nonchalant look,
Molrik gave a weak laugh,
“you?, a mere harbinger, seek to-“ he said, pausing as he saw the true blade produce a second blade,
One blistering at the edges with pure intent, intent straight from the supreme being of edges himself, Alastor. Molrik wasn’t sure how everything had gone to hell, he had been on the cusp of winning a great battle, he had both feet in the archailect already, and somehow, it had all crashed to pieces, and yet again, here was an harbinger, wielding a weapon so terrible, it began to split reality into thin sharp edges that took all of his concentration to repel lest it slice both him and his existence into fragments easy enough to be wiped by even an ancient and a jade.
Molrik snarled, he had to leave this planet, he had to warn the others, and most of all, he had to find out just what had happened to his realm. The moment he twitched, Zane swung the blade, the pure power of Alastor despite being reduced to a single blade tore at his shields, the runes flickering for a brief second before dispelling. It had done its job though, it had protected him enough for the lord mutator to produce a large shield forged in his realm. The power of mutation warped the intent of Alastor just a little bit, causing him to have cuts all over his mortal form alone and his existence protected.
He hissed as he shot backwards, pushing as much gap between him and the harbinger of Alastor as possible, and yet he could feel himself weakening, feel his green ichor drip unto the very grounds of the planet and being absorbed, transformed into aether and that very terrifying power of the titan blade. So many things, he realized, were wrong with what was happening right now. For one, the planet, a mere tier 3 planet should had not been able to handle the fight between him and the harbinger, and yet even the vegetations were unhurt, whatever that ascender was, it terrified him to the bone.
There was no use trying to kill them, not when the odds were so stacked against him and who knew?, even if he killed them, the ascender could do something as outlandish as bringing them back to life, nothing was considered crazy at this point. But he needed time, time the true blade wasn’t giving him to perform a ritual to force his way out of the planet. Dodging another swing of that terrifying blade Molrik searched for options.
*************************************
Moyo, the titan blade slept and dreamt.
This was no vision more than it was his subconscious mind, and in it, he sat on a beach, waves blowing at him as he sighed, closing his eyes and falling back to rest on the sands,
“I could live like this” he said,
A voice snorted to his side, his lips curling as he knew the voice but chose to ignore it,
“Again and again, you choose to delude yourself with the fact that you want peace” a sultry female voice said,
He chuckled to himself,
“Team violence baby, peace was never an option” he murmured as the voice laughed,
“you want that engraved on your tombstone when you die?, if you can even die, that is” the female voice said,
Moyo felt a pressure on his body as the owner of his voice straddled his waist, cracking open an eye to stare into bright green feral eyes, dark bronze and tanned skin, a smile made of bright and sharp canines, big breasts and a swishing tail behind the woman,
“Lord, you’re beautiful” he murmured,
The female rolled her eyes,
“Flattery would get you anywhere Moyosore titan blade” she laughed,
“I mean it Ashira” he replied,
She smiled at him, sitting upright and staring into his eyes, a sad smile on her face,
“You realize what it is you face now, don’t you my heart” she asked,
Moyo knew it was a dream, it was why she knew things she shouldn’t but yet he took it in stride,
“I don’t want to talk about it” he murmured,
She sighed, gently using one hand to cup his chin and turn his face to hers, then she kissed him, tasting of honey and spices, Moyo enjoying the moment for all it was worth. Then she released his face,
“I promise you, when all this is over, we’ll journey far away, far from where even the reach of my overprotective parents can touch us, we’ll make memories, do things you want to do, have offsprings by the litters if you want to” she said,
Moyo swallowed at the terrifying thoughts of children running around with powers, but he kept quiet,
“But you need to realize that they wouldn’t be safe in an archailect where terrors such as what you’re facing still exists my love” she said,
He nodded reluctantly, Ashira smiling at him,
“Good, so then, you know what you have to do?” she asked again,
He sighed as he nodded, sitting up and gripping her by the waist,
“I know you’re just a memory, a fragment of my imagination, but I’m hoping my voice and heart reaches you wherever you are, don’t die on me Ashira Kairos, wait for me” he said,
She smiled,
“Go wreak that excuse of a lord of the abyss” she replied as she turned to motes of light,
Moyo sighed, standing up and stretching, enjoying the sunlight for one last time,
“Right, time to go upgraded me” he mumbled and snapped his fingers,
****************************************************
He awoke to a planet,
His planet,
Sitting up as notifications rang in his Hud, the archailect back into play even without an aether resonator around, then three people were in his sight, Altair, Mardar and Teisha the avatar of fire. He cracked his neck as he got up,
“How, what was that power?’ Mardar asked silently,
Moyo glanced at the jade who seemed to be staring at him with what he realized was confusion and fear,
“What are you?” Teisha asked,
He stretched his frame, dominion and Gegun appearing at each side of him,
“I’m the titan blade” he replied as he vanished from their sight.
