《Azure Chronicles》Chapter 126.5

Meanwhile, Zalroth stood at the tip of a large bone spike protruding from the red and orange sand. A sleeping Chronia led on top of Zalroth's kitsune tails with a parasol sticking out of it that shaded Chronia from the sun. Zalroth tapped the back of his left hand against his right palm as the pale yellow magic crest on his right palm glowed.
"The desert's surprisingly relaxing when it isn't experiencing sand storms or being completely overrun with desert creatures," Zalroth remarked. Zalroth smirked as he lowered his arms before briefly glancing off at the Delver's Spring hut far off in the distance.
"I didn't think Lola would run into the magic sand copy of myself so soon... although he is just a younger me, so he is probably interested in meeting Lola," Zalroth remarked while Chronia yawned and stretched her arms. Chronia placed her hand on her chest and half-opened her eyes.
"Say, Hubby, are you sure you have to go through with it?" Chronia uttered stoically. Zalroth smugly sighed and placed his fists on his hips.
"You've known since the time you awakened your time-vision what I'll have to do soon," Zalroth remarked slightly cheerfully. Chronia pessimistically groaned and rolled onto her side.
"I know...," Chronia uttered in a faint sulk. Chronia rubbed her dry eyes before she felt Zalroth place his index finger against her cheek. Zalroth slowly ran his finger against Chronia's cheek, and, try as she might, Chronia attempted to remain unfazed; however, as Zalroth continued to do it, Chronia's frown gradually wobbled into a reluctant meek smile.
Chronia grabbed a hold of Zalroth's hand and pressed it against the side of her head. Chronia closed her eyes and quietly hummed as she continued pressing Zalroth's hand against the side of her head. Zalroth chuckled to himself as Maru (with Kai piggybacking on Maru's back) soared through the air while dragging a giant red and orange marble-textured-scaled sandworm behind him, causing Zalroth to face forward and groan.
"So much for no desert creatures....".
