Kimmi-Ka and Jokel leapt onto a single bar stool, waiting with boundless glee as they stared at the sweets section of the cafe's menu. Zalroth rubbed the inside of his right ear and mentally sighed as he closed his eyes.
Zalroth felt his body shuttered as the warmth of the ambient air seemed to evaporate and completely disappear. Zalroth attempted to breathe in, but his chest tensed up from the viscous/almost solid atmosphere entering his lungs. Zalroth groaned unamusedly as he breathed out the viscous air in multiple puffs.
Zalroth opened his eyes and proceeded to be greeted by the inside of transparent azure blue crystal featureless face of Ela, in her true form. Zalroth gave Ela a head tilt, and they immediately backed up from Zalroth, allowing Zalroth to see Ela's full crystal body.
"Bit close weren't you? I would have died if I was someone who needs to breathe". Ela repeatedly bowed in the air to Zalroth as her movements made twinkle noises. Ela raised her head and an azure-coloured wisp appeared next to her head which took on the appearance of an emoticon [ :s ].
"Ela apologises; you must understand warping things outside of reality has some complications," Ela stated as the wisp emoticon took on the form of XD. Zalroth smirked at seeing the wisp make the XD emoticon before he peered around at his void-like lack of surroundings.
Zalroth fully turned around before spotting the planet dwarfing pale glowing cyan crystalline tree with brightly glowing cyan leaves and large sprawling tree roots spreading out in every direction. Zalroth swayed his head from side to side and noticed the cluster of spaced-out stars surrounding the tree from a vast distance in the arrangement of a sphere.
"And why have you taken me out of... everything that is?" Zalroth asked smugly as he placed his hand on his chin and grinned at seeing everything.

"Ela needs you to fend off the Aether Being," Ela stated.
"Another one... huh? Wait, don't you mean an Aethe..." Zalroth remarked before he stumbled over his words as he turned around and briefly raised his head to look up at the colossal construct of made entirely out of azure gems. The construct's form was an ever-state-shifting complex of intersecting geometric shapes which floated away from its large-building-sized core; the core is an opaque octahedron-shaped azure gem with glowing callous cyan eyes on the centres of each of its faces.
"That's a big Heathen," Zalroth remarked half-heartedly as he rolled his shoulder.
"It's because it's-" Ela managed to say before Zalroth conjured a cyan magic barrier beneath his feet and kicked off it to launch himself at the Aether Being, leaving Ela silently by herself with her wisp making a [ >:( ] shape.

The Apocalypse Show - Dungeon Core
There were lot's of ways that people had predicted that the world would end. A few even had it partially correct. But how could they have predicted it would be a combination of the system apocalypse and aliens. Specifially aliens that wanted to create the equivlant of a TV show about the system apocalypse on Earth. Arthur woke up with a headache and the option to create a character. Most people would have gone with the safe choice and selected to stay a human. Arthur suspected that wouldn't be the safe choice in his new world. Instead he decided to see what other races were available. Eventually he decided to become a dungeon core instead. Of course being a dungeon core comes with a number of challenges. Starting with the fact that he was a giant crystal instead of having a body, managing a bunch of unintelligent minons, and most importantly the reaction of his human neighbors when they discover him. If he can overcome these challenges he may be able to enjoy some of the benefits. Such as the fact that dungeon cores are immortal and he would eventually have an entire army of dungeon minions that would obey any of his commands. Perhaps even find some female companions that are looking for a safe place during the apocalypse. Warning: If this fiction was a movie I'd rate it R for occasional scenes of violence, gore, nudity, and sexual content. This isn't something you would find in the young adult section. This does not mean that this would be rated NC-17 or X, if that is what you are looking for try lewd dungeon.
