Hopefully, this way anyone search for me will be headed inland and away from the ship. The only one I am really worried about is the god himself, but I don't feel him watching me. After all the practice with the goddesses, I am fairly sure no god can observe me without me feeling it.

Just in case, I fly south for another half an hour before I find myself a place to land. After checking again to make sure no one is spying on me I open a gate back to the ship. As soon as I walk through the gate, Lin jumps up and hugs my neck as hard as she can.

"Relax, it's over and I am fine."

Lin says "I was worried sick about you! I am glad you are okay, but how did you escape?"

"Escape? I didn't escape, I killed him."

Lin says "You what? You killed him? That was the avatar of Ocktur, the god of war and you killed him?!?!"

"Yes, I did. You recognized him?"

Lin says "Yes, but at the time I didn't want to distract you."

"It's fine, knowing his name wouldn't have changed anything. Although, him being a god of war does explain why he didn't use any magic or divine powers. It also explains why he was so much stronger than I am."

Lin says "You just killed the avatar of a god of war and that is all you have to say?!"

"Um, I'm sorry for worrying you?"

Lin says "That is not what I meant, but it is nice to hear. What possessed you to fight against an avatar? You should have run away as soon as I teleported away!"

"I wasn't about to let anyone talk to you that way, no matter who they were. Besides, I was fairly confident that I could handle him."

When I say that, Lin looks like she wants to argue, but at the same time she has a smile on her face. After a few seconds of arguing internally, she lets out a sigh and then hugs my neck even harder. With her clinging to my neck, I shapeshift into human form so I can hug her back without hurting her.

As soon as I am shapeshifted Lin loosens the hug just enough to start kissing me. She is very ardent, it seems that worrying about me brought out another side of her. If only the kids weren't awake, things would probably have gone a lot further.

However, since they are awake we only kiss for a few minutes before breaking apart. Lin's face is bright red which makes me grin at her before heading over to play with the kids. Lin offers to take the charts up and add them to the map table, so I hand them over.

'Now that I have a second, let's see what I can figure out. Stats!'

'Hm, so evolution points are used to increase the evolution level. What is an evolution level though? There is no additional information. This is so frustrating!'

Even though I look through all of my character information, there is nothing else that changed. It looks like the only way I can find out what the evolution level is, is to get it to level one. I am hoping that it is something to do with me becoming a drake or a dragon.

However, if avatars are the only things that can give me evolution points, then it is going to take forever to gain a level. Then again, since I got them from an avatar it might be something to do with becoming a god. If that is the case then I definitely don't want to raise my evolution level.

When Lin returns she looks like she has calmed down and collected herself. Looking at her I remember that I told her we would take it all the way when we returned from the island. As soon as I think about it I find myself getting nervous and wanting to put it off.

However, I am not going to, I have had enough of making excuses and avoiding things. Aside from feeling nervous, I am also getting excited, since it has been a long time. I still have the urges of a human, they are just much easier to control than they used to be.

It might be because I have not really been a human since I came to this world. Or it might be due to all the stress I have been through since I was summoned. Either way, it would definitely feel good to finally be able to satisfy the urge.

I am not sure what look is on my face as I have these thoughts, but whatever it is, it makes Lin smile. When I notice Lin's smile, I worry that she has read my mind and I feel my face heat up. Of course, Lin notices and her only reaction is that her smile gets even wider.

Lin smiles at me for a minute, then she turns away and calls the kids over for dinner. She starts taking out all of the new recipes we gathered in the city for everyone to try. I made sure to gather new salad recipes for Albion so that he doesn't get left out.

He and the others seem to really enjoy the new food, but I don't even taste the food. My nerves are strung too tight right now, so I don't even pay attention to what I am eating. Throughout the meal I barely take my eyes off of Lin, and she just keeps smiling at me.

Dinner passes by in a blur and soon we are putting the babies to bed. I then open a soulscape for the kids to play, but I am so distracted that I forget that I wanted to talk to the goddesses. Once the soulscape ends, Lin heads to bed and I follow her, time to keep my promise.

When Lin realizes that I followed her, she turns and greets me with a kiss. From the kiss I can tell that Lin is nervous as well, which actually helps me to calm down. As I continue to kiss her, I slowly start removing her dress and then the ship's alarm starts sounding.
