"I will try, but I can't promise that I can stop. My desire to keep you safe has gotten stronger as my feelings for you have grown."

Lin says "While hearing that makes me very happy, I refuse to sit here and let you take all the risks. If we are equals then we should take the risks equally as well."

"I agree and I will try, but it is not going to be easy for me. It is not just my feelings, it is also my instincts that are telling me to protect you."

Lin says "If you agree then you should let me come with you tonight. I know plenty of fire spells, probably more than you."

"Alright."

Lin says "You just....wait, you didn't argue?"

"No, I didn't. Because you are right."

Lin says "So I can go with you? You aren't going to try and stop me?"

"Yes, you can come with me."

Lin lets out a happy little scream, jumps into my lap, and starts kissing me. I never expected that agreeing to let her come with me would make her so happy. It's not like there will be any real danger, she will be on my back the entire time.

Although, considering how much I am enjoying this, I will not be telling her that. Besides, even if the worst was to happen and she dies, I can still resurrect her. That's if Seronia didn't do it first, she and her sister seem to really like Lin.

Throughout the rest of dinner, Lin stays sitting in my lap, which is very distracting. She even insists on feeding me, which is kind of cute and kind of annoying at the same time. Considering how much I am enjoying having her sitting here, I let her feed me.

Unfortunately, it doesn't last for as long as I would like, only until dinner is over. Then Lin gets up, takes the babies to put them to bed, and reads them a story. While she is doing that I spend some time giving some attention to Nala and Albion.

Once Lin gets the babies to fall asleep, I open the soulscape and invite everyone. After we fill Myria in on recent events, we all play with the kids for a while. Only after the kids start showing signs of being worn out do I invite Seronia and Krenocia.

Seronia says "Hello, Ash. What did you do this time?"

"Nothing! It is about that avatar that I killed."

Krenocia says "What about him?"

Seronia says "Thank you for that by the way!"

"Well, when I ate his heart, I got something called evolution points. I was hoping one of you might know what they are."

Krenocia says "Sorry, I've never heard of them."

Seronia says "Me either."

"So, since you haven't heard of them, then they probably won't make me a god. Right?"

Seronia says "There are many paths to becoming a god. We may not know all of them, but that isn't one as far as I know."

Krenocia says "The problem is that you are completely unique. To our knowledge, there has never been a being like you before. Since that is the case we cannot guarantee that it won't lead to you becoming a god."

"I guess I will just have to wait and see what happens. If it is going to lead to becoming a god, I can always stop before the end of the path."

Seronia says "That is probably true. What other path do you think these points might lead to?"

"I am hoping that it will lead to me becoming a true drake or maybe even a dragon."

Krenocia says "That would certainly be fitting. You are pretty close to being a drake already. At least, you mostly have the form of one. Although, I have never heard of a drake that is as curious as you are."

Seronia says "Probably because any drake with that much curiosity didn't live long enough for us to hear about it."

Krenocia says "Yeah, sister, you are probably right."

"Haha, very funny, you two. Anyway, you both seemed excited about getting the avatar's body. What benefits did you get from it?"

Seronia says "When a god creates a primary avatar, they have to use some divine power to do so. If the avatar dies, that energy is lost for good. However, if another god, or goddess, gets their hands on the body, they can claim that power."

Krenocia says "It is only a small amount of power and doesn't matter too much. What matters to us is that the power contains the god's domains. That is what we were excited about."

"So, did you manage to get the domains?"

Seronia says "Yes, we did. I am now a goddess of life and honor."

Krenocia says "I am now a goddess of death and war."

"That's good, I guess. What do domains even do?"

Seronia says "For a god or goddess, it increases their aspects. For instance, gaining the honor domain gives me the ability to create orders of knights among my followers. I will also gain increased power from those knights who maintain their oaths."

"So basically, domains give you new channels of power and more benefits that you can give to your worshipers?"

Seronia says "Exactly. Normally, a full pantheon covers the majority of the available domains. We are lacking because there are only two of us. Hence gaining domains is a big deal for us."

Krenocia says "Yes, and we owe it to you, Ash. So, is there anything you want as a reward?"

"Hm, didn't we already agree my next reward would be the size control collars for my kids? We may as well use that since I can't be sure when I will be able to destroy another temple."

Seronia says "We can do that. So, a collar for every kid except Ekard, Mulan, and Mushu, since they are already small."

"Yeah, that's fine."

Seronia says "Alright, agreed."

Krenocia says "That means you need to think about what reward you want next. Give us some time to create or find whatever you think of."

"Um, I will let you know when I think of something. There is nothing I can think of at the moment."

Seronia says "Okay. Any other questions for us?"

"Not right now."

Instead of leaving, the goddesses give me a smile and then go over to talk to Lin. While I am glad that Lin has made friends with them, this still makes me feel nervous. Lin has already shown that she is more than willing to team up with others against me.

Not that she really needs to, we would have already taken the final step if it wasn't for the pirate attack. In fact, if our attack on the pirate base goes well, we might take that step tonight. So, there should be nothing that she needs to plot with others about, but that doesn't help my nerves.
