Mermaid Arc. Chapter 4: A Problematic Encounter.
Valoran, Limenria, Sestine and another Mermaid look up to see a floating individual hovering above them.
“Queen of the Mermaids I cannot believe that you have the audacity to define me by walking on land.” The individual spoke down to her.
“I will no longer be controlled by him.” Limenria firmly replied although fear can be seen in her, it is not enough to stop her from standing up for herself.
“You pathetic creature of the sea! How dare you-” The individual gets cutted off.
“That's enough. As long as I am here Queen Limenria will not face any threats.” Valoran speaks up for her ally.
“Ahh, you must be the King of Magic, don't interfere, this has nothing to do with you.” The individual replies.
“You are sorely mistaken, she's my ally. If you or your master, whoever he might be, threatens her, you are automatically threatening me.” Valoran firmly relies.
“Fufu…Hahaha” The Individual replies in amusement.
“Queen Limenria, who is that?” Valoran asks curiously.
“Her name is Nari del Bevero. She is a goddess of trickery who is working on the command of a water high God called Remion.” Limenria informs.
“That's right. Now listen Queen Limenria just because the curse that was upon you has been lifted does not mean you are free from my Master's grasp. Come with me at once or be destroyed along with your pressures, Mermaids.” Nari threatens with anger.
“I will believe you are mistaken, the only one being destroyed here is you.” Valoran replies.
“You worm! YOU DARE….AHH!!!” Nari screams in pain.
Valoran moved from his position on the ground into the air punching her with such force that she landed hard on the ground leaving a ginormous crater in the distance causing a massive dust cloud to cover a large area . Valoran did this faster than time itself.
Moments later, Limenaria and the other Mermaids are shocked and confused about what just happened as they cannot see anything within the dust cloud.
“My Lady, what just happened?” The other Mermaid questions.
“Valoran took action.” Limenria relies.
Valoran lands in front of the Mermaids for their protection.
“Stand behind me.” Valoran kindly instructs the mermaids.
The mermaids nod in agreement.
“YOU BASTARD!” Nari screams from the dust cloud.

A moment later Nari comes flying out the dust cloud with an angry expression.
She lands in front of Valoran.
“I’ll make you pay for that!” Nari says with anger.
“Give it your best shot.” Valoran provokes.
“You will regret those words.” Nari says with a smile.
She snaps her finger…the sky above splits in two and a divine beam of light in the form of pillar shines down from the bright light many angels fly down toward Valoran and the Mermaids who are still behind Valoran.
“Oh no…my lady Nari summoned her angels!” The Mermaid expresses with panic.
“My lady, do you believe that the King of Magic stands a chance?” Sestine asks with worry.
“If the rumors of him defeating the King of Gods Daimos are indeed true, the better question would be how long Nari would last.” Limenria responds.
“If you say so my queen. Let's put our trust in him.” Siestine replies.
“Do you really believe your angels are any challenge for me?” Valoran asks with a cocky tone.
“You speak words show me your power through actions.” Nari replies with an amused tone.
“You are the one regretting those words.” Valoran replies.
“ATTACK!” Nari instructs her angels with a firm tone.
The angels are throwing enormous golden flames of divinity at Valoran engulfing him in those flames.
“TCHH!” The Mermaids are all covering their eyes due to the enormous brightness of those flames.
“My lady, what's going on?!” Siestine asks, confused.
“What happened was that your so-called King of Magic was vaporized by the divine flames. Divine flames have the ability to burn anything into non-existence no matter what and durable something or someone seems to be. Those flames even annihilated our arch enemies, the titans themselves!” Nari yells with confidence.
“Ohh is that so?” Valoran replies while still being engulfed in the divine flames.
Valoran waves his hand, blowing away the flames instantly.
“How-How is this possible…?” Nari asks in shock.
“Those flames cannot be extinguished. How were you able to blow them away so easily?!” Nari once again asks in shock and disbelief.
“The difference in power between us is too great, that's the reason.” Valoran replies.
The Angels charge toward Valoran with spears of death which have the ability to force the idea of death upon a target negating immortality and regeneration.

Many spears pierce Valoran's body from all sides.
“Now you perish.” Nari says with an amused smile.
Limenaria and the other Mermaids have a panicked look on their faces.
“Queen Limenria there is no need for you to look so worried, I won't die this easily.” Valoran ushers at the Mermaids.
“Impossible…Just Impossible!” Nari says in further disbelief.
“What can we do, Goddess Nari?” One of the Angels asks with worry.
“Retreat…” Nari says quietly under her breath.
“What lady Nari?” Another Angel asks.
“I SAID RETREAT DAMMIT. ARE YOU BLIND CAN'T YOU SEE THAT OUR ENEMY IS TOO POWERFUL!!?” Nari says with frustration.
The Angels of trickery create duplicates of themselves to confuse Valoran and begin to escape.
“King of Magic. You have won this battle but don't get too full of yourself, just because you have bested me and Daimos does not guarantee you a victory, the one I serve is more powerful than Daimos could ever dream of to be.” Nari warns.
“Tell your master to come and face me next time.” Valoran replies with a smirk.
“Tsk!” Nari responds and leaves the mortal plane, returning to the divine realm.
“It seems that there is much more to learn when it comes to the divine realm. Daimos was the King of Gods and yet it seems he wasn't the most powerful. I need more information on the matter.” Valoran thinks to himself.
Limenria and the other Mermaids are amazed to see how easy Valoran has dealt with the situation.
Siestine walks forward at Valoran.
“King of Magic. I must apologize, I was rude and spoke ill mannered when we first met. I now know that you have great power and more importantly that you use that power for the sake of good. I am grateful that you are on our side.” Siestine bows her head.
“Siestine, please raise your head. You did nothing wrong, you merely ensured the safety of your Queen, that's something you should not be apologizing for.” Valoran kindly replies.
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart, King of Magic.” Sestine raises her head and tears begin to run down her face.
“What's the matter, Sestine?” Limenria asks in worry.
“Lady Sestine, are you hurt?” The other Mermaid also asks in worry.
“N-No No, I'm fine I am just so happy that someone is willing to help us without ulterior motives.” Sestine wipes tears off her face.
“I am also grateful to the King of Magic for assisting our people. The other Mermaid bows her head.
“It's my honor to help but may I ask for your name?” Valoran kindly asks.
“Ohh sir, my name is Velvia.” Velvia shyly introduces herself.
“It's a pleasure to meet you, Velvia.” Valoran replies.
Velvia slightly blushes and faces away from him to hide her red face.
“King of Magic, where are we heading to now?” Limenria politely asks.
“After this problematic encounter, we will head for my castle and I will show you the Oasis which can heal your wounds and strengthen your abilities more than they have ever been.” Valoran explains the curious Mermaids.
“It can also strengthen Mermaids in general more efficiently since you are water inhabitants.” Valoran also remarks.
“What about Nari and her Master?” Velvia asks with a shy tone since she felt out of place.
“It is true what she said does cause concern within me but, if this God does show himself I will crush him like any other I have done thus far.” Valoran replies.
“I know him all too well, he's ruthless and shows no mercy who defies him and does not shy away from using any means to win. I am saying this to you because he will use your affection you have for the Kingdom and allies you made to sway the battle in his favor.” Limenria informs him.
“Could you imagine him killing all of those people?” Valoran questions.
“Absolutely.” Limenria replies without hesitation.
Valoran’s concern increases further knowing who he is up against and how ruthless he seems to be.
Daimos did not kill since he wished to rule and dominate people.
This God who is apparently more powerful than Daimos seems to kill rather than rule.
“For now let's head to the castle. I will not let this God kill a single being in this or any other World.” Valoran ensures the Mermaids.
Valoran casts Irum (teleportation magic) at an instant Valoran and the others Vanish…

Orc Lord
A young woman just starting out in life is killed tragically in a car accident. However, she soon regains consciousness as a baby in a fantasy world. But... she's an Orc?! It would be good if she could just enjoy her new life quietly, but she seems destined for war and carnage. How will she fare as a monster in a fantasy world? ________________ This story will have a total of three arcs: Arc 1, The Birth of Babylon: 571 pages (complete) Arc 2, The Baphomet War: 420 pages (complete) Arc 3, The Mad Queen of Carnage: (in progress) ________________ Ultimately, I'm writing this for enjoyment. If you enjoy it too, fantastic! Gore: Extremely infrequent, but moderately intense. Profanity: There are a few swear words here and there, as well as some more creative insults. Traumatizing Content: While I'm at it, there are some questionable morals displayed (mostly after chapter 77). So far we can check off slavery, brainwashing, war, and genocide. This story starts off very Light Novel-ish because I was reading a lot of them at the time. The writing style gradually matures as it goes. Sorry, but I don't have the stamina to go back and fix everything, even if I know it gets pretty roughshod at times. New readers, please keep in mind, I make use of "unreliable narrators" at times. My story accepts donations, but it is free to read and I've only uploaded it here. Lastly, Orc Lord is a member of the WriTEr's Pledge, which means I have sworn to see it through to a satisfying ending. One of my long breaks triggered a dishonor, but I'll redeem it someday when it's actually finished. I'm the ultimate necromancer author. ;P
