When I wake up in the morning, I am still in my normal form and human sized. Normally I would let Lin sleep in, but we can't waste too much time. So, I start licking her face until she wakes up giggling, as soon as she wakes up she hugs me and buries her face in my fur.

Lin says "I'm still tired, I don't want to get up!"

"Alright, we can have breakfast in bed, but then we need to get up."

Lin says "What's the rush? Why can't we be lazy?"

"There is no rush, but you know how I feel about wasted time. Once we get to the city and get settled in we can be a bit more lazy. Besides, how tired you are is completely your own fault. I was perfectly willing to take the experimenting slowly."

Lin blushes and says "We are not talking about that!"

I laugh at her reaction as I set up the tray and fill it with breakfast dishes. She complains of being too tired, so I play along and feed her breakfast to her. Of course, there is quite a bit of teasing involved, but it is all in good fun and we both have a good time.

When we are done eating Lin tries to go back to sleep, but I keep pestering her until she gets up. Once she is dressed, I pick her up and carry her outside so that I can put the castle away. Then I return to normal size, put my saddle on, and help Lin get into it.

Using a little mana, I add a seatbelt to the saddle and make it so that the saddle is more of a recliner. That way Lin can nap while I am flying around scanning for resources. Not too surprisingly, she falls asleep pretty soon after I take off and I try not to jostle her around too much.

Despite me landing a couple of times to collect metals, Lin manages to sleep until lunch time. I find a nice scenic spot to land for us to have lunch and then we continue our journey. After lunch Lin doesn't go back to sleep, instead going back to working on her crafting.

"Is sewing your relaxing hobby?"

Lin says "Yes. I really enjoy it and it is nice to be able to make my own outfits. Especially after watching your anime, it has given me a ton of ideas that I want to try out."

"There are anime that focus a lot more on outfits, but those aren't ones that I watched, sorry."

Lin says "It's fine. I already have enough ideas to keep me busy for weeks and you still have more anime to show me."

"I can also show you movies, they will give you plenty of ideas."

Lin says "Sounds good, but let me work through the ideas I already have first. Otherwise, I will end up forgetting the ideas I already have in favor of new ones."

"Sure. We have plenty of time for that stuff."

Detecting another metal I can make use of, I turn and land where I can extract it from. I have figured out how to extract metals without having to dig, but it costs more mana. Using mana I create a small hole leading to the metal, then liquify it, and pull it out.

It is a lot faster than digging, so the mana spent is worth it in my opinion. Besides, it is good practice in mana control, which will affect all the other magic that I use. It also means I am not moving around as much which lets Lin keep sewing.

About the only time she has to pause her work is as I am taking off or landing. That actually happens a lot since I am bouncing around from one metal deposit to another. None of the ones I have found have been all that rich, but when added together I get a decent amount of materials.

There are plenty of beasts around, including some flying ones, but none of them bother me. I am bigger than most of them, so it is no surprise that they avoid me. Some of the bigger ones eye me, but they seem to decide that I would be more trouble than I am worth.

I am fine with them avoiding me since it means I can just take the materials and move on. Although, it has been a while since I was in a fight and I admit that I kind of miss it. However, past the city is demon territory so I expect to get in some fights soon enough.

I am really curious if eating demon cores will still do anything to me or not. I am also curious as to how much lifeforce I can drain from a demon since they are supposed to be immortal. I am also curious if the maximum amount of lifeforce that I can hold has increased.

I hope it has since I expect that once Krenocia's power runs out the amount of lifeforce I need will skyrocket. I can't really be sure though since I will hopefully evolve again before that happens. Hopefully, I can find the right path and evolve so that I can survive on my own.

However, I am not going to count on that happening, not with how my luck normally goes. In fact, if my luck is at its normal, I will end up evolving into something that needs even more lifeforce. The worst part about that is that anything I drain lifeforce from doesn't give me any experience.

I really want to get myself to level twenty and see what happens afterwards. However, that is going to take an astronomical amount of experience. There are just too many things that I want, or need to do, that I can't pick one to focus on.

"It's getting late. Do you want me to push on to the city or would you rather set up the castle again?"

Lin says "I'm fine with the castle. I'm guessing you asked now because that hilltop over there looks like a perfect place for a castle?"

"That and with all the back and forth I have been doing gathering materials I am not sure how far the city is."

Lin says "Then let's stop here. Like you said, we aren't in a rush."

When Lin agrees, I bank and head for said hilltop. After a quick scan I take out the castle and set it up. It isn't quite the time we normally have dinner, so Lin heads into her tower. She is probably going to copy some more books, but that's fine since I have something I want to do.

Now that I have the complete magical language, and have had time to understand it. I plan to add some additional formations to the castle to improve its defenses. In order to prepare for upgrading the castle, once I figure out how, I am also adding some materials.

Lin says "What are you doing now?"

"Adding to the castle's defenses. I wanted to see if you were right about me relaxing more if I felt safer. I didn't want to test it out on the ship first in case it offended Athena."

Lin says "The fact that you listen to me and remember what I say would make me fall in love with you, if I hadn't already done so."
