《Azure Chronicles》Chapter 136: Gathering of Consanguinity Part 2

Solus slammed into a wall of the training hall, denting the metal wall as a muted bang rippled through the walls of the airship. Lumina crossed her arms and huffed as Nebula floated over to Solus. A tall white silhouette of spirit mana (fuzzy textured energy) formed beside Solus before it grabbed Solus and yanked him out of the wall.
"You should really reframe for teasing your sister so much, Young Master," the spirit in its spiritual form remarked with a male voice. Solus rubbed his side as the dent in the wall buffered itself out.
"You act like I do it on purpose, Sosuzoko," Solus uttered as Nebula led down on Solus' tails. Sosuzoko groaned before he faded away. Solus clicked his neck before he covered his body in light mana and light dashed over to the group. Zalroth amusedly shook his head and rested the base of The Crescent Moon Staff on the floor.
"Maybe I should get Minia to join us to keep you two in check," Zalroth remarked sternly. Solus and Lumina's bodies went rigid as stone at the mere mention of Minia's name.
"Please... don't... we'll behave," Lumina pleaded. Zalroth chuckled and playfully waved his fingers, making Solus and Lumina sigh in relief.
"You really shouldn't scare your descendants, Foreseer," Ela (in her distorted space form) stated. Zalroth glanced over at Ela as she floated around everyone with no one other than Zalroth acknowledging her. Zalroth tapped The Crescent Moon Staff against the side of his head.
"And here I thought I'd get some time to train Lola... what a shame," Zalroth mentally muttered.
"Alright, Ela, what needs my attention this time?" Zalroth asked telepathically.
"Heathen," Ela stated with her usual voice. Zalroth pessimistically sighed and clicked his neck.
"Although, Ela will state that the heathen is within your decedent's strength," Ela stated before she disappeared. Zalroth remained silent for a moment as Lola nudged her hand against Yokuza's head to make him walk over to Zalroth. Lola waved her hand in front of Zalroth's face until she caught his attention.

"Yea, Fluffkins?".
"Are you going to do the thing, Papa?".
"Fraid not, we're going to have to postpone that training session since a heathen is about to appear," Zalroth explained. Lola groaned in frustration while everyone else wasn't as annoyed as Lola.
"But there's no need to be upset; I never said I was going to be the one to deal with it after all," Zalroth remarked cheekily. Lola blinked before balling up her fist and nodding seriously. Yumi itched her head.
"Don't get it...," Yumi uttered.
"He means he's going to let us fight the heathen, sis," Prima explained.
"Oh.".
Later, outside on the runway of the flying airship carrier, Zalroth tapped his kitsune tails against the floor, and a set of chairs appeared where his tails struck. Zalroth sat down on his tails, causing the sleeping Chronia to wriggle out from under Zalroth and lay on top of him.
"So... we're sitting this one out?" Solus asked.
"Seems so," Lumina remarked. Lumina, Solus, and Nebula (with Sylvie in her arms) sat down in the chairs Zalroth provided. Zalroth smirked as he watched Lola and the Zulcrestus siblings talking amongst themselves about the possibilities of what Yumi, Prima, and Sapphire's weapons from Callie would be.
"It wouldn't be a challenge for them if any of us helped, now would it?".
"I suppose so," Solus uttered as he leaned back in his chair.
Lola stood tall on Yokuza's shoulders while she passionately punched the air.
"You seem fired up," Yokuza said as he leaned against Blue Empress.
"Of course I am; this is my chance to prove myself!" Lola proclaimed with her fist raised.
"To whom?" Prima asked amusedly.
"To me, of course," Lola stated.
"Right...," Prima muttered as a crack in space formed nearby.
"Heads up, you lot," Zalroth stated. The siblings and Lola readied themselves as the cracks in space grew. As the cracks continued to grow, Scarlett popped her head out from behind Zalroth's tails and spotted the cracks in space.

"What's that?" Scarlett asked as she moulded some of Zalroth's tail fur into the shape of a long chair before sitting on it.
"A crack in time and space," Kusana stated nonchalantly while carrying Snow on her back before the two sat on the fur chair.
"Neeto," Scarlett said amusedly. A chinking cracking noise emanated through the air before the cracks in space shattered, and a white flash filled the area. The light faded, and before the group stood the heathen: a ten-foot-tall muscular centaur made of opaque white crystals with nine glowing blue eyes in a ring formation around its humanoid head.
"Well, I was expecting something more abstract...," Yokuza remarked as he raised Blue Empress to the heathen. Lola tightened her fists and jumped onto the side of Blue Empress.
"Don't worry guys, I've seen Papa beat tones of these chumps; we just gotta avoid using the magic it can absorb," Lola stated. Yokuza and Prima nodded while Yumi and Sapphire readied themselves to support their favoured sibling. Lola stared down the heathen while she fist pumped.
"This time, I'll get my boss fight," Lola stated. The eyes of the heathen exploded in intensity before it flexed its arms and unleashed a hallowing howl. A barrage of light mana beams raced past from behind the heathen and pierced through the air towards the group. Yokuza swung Blue Empress upwards and flung Lola into the air.
Yokuza positioned his sword in front of himself and readied himself to block. However, Yumi jumped in front of him with a neutral expression on her face. The light mana beams collided with Yumi's body and drastically slowed until they became spheres before being dissolved.
"Still can't get used to her doing that," Prima mumbled as she aimed an open palm at the heathen, "Prima Buster!". Prima fired a barrage of sun-looking beach ball-sized fire mana spheres. The heathen backhanded the first prima buster sphere, causing the point of contact to melt slightly. The heathen stared at its injured hand before it jumped back and weaved around the remaining prima-buster spheres.
As Lola sat on Dream Weaver like a witch's broom and floated above the battle, Lola intently watched the others combat the heathen while she studied the heathen for any openings. Lola wagged her tails as she calculated the best possible play before something caught her eye. Lola hovered in the air space behind the heathen to get a good look at the back of its head.
Yokuza blocked and deflected the punches and kicks of the heathen, making the light blue veil of mana around Blue Empress become increasingly thicker. Yokuza knocked the heathen's last punch away and gazed up as he noticed Lola flailing her arms around before pointing at the pack of her neck.
Yokuza, seemingly getting Lola's message, nodded before jumping back and making the heathen punch the ground. Yokuza dashed towards the heathen and ran up its arm. He kneed the heathen in the face before he front-flipped over the heathen.
"The neck!" Lola called out. Yokuza darted his vision at the heathen's neck and spotted the glowing crack on the back of its neck. Yokuza tightened his grip on Blue Empress before using it to slash through the crack. The crack exploded, and the heathen staggered to its knees as one of its eyes fizzled out.
"The tried and true method of hitting the monster in its obvious weak spot," Lola chirped as the crack on the heathen's neck faded away. Yokuza flipped in the air and landed next to his sisters. Yokuza glanced at his hand holding the veilless Blue Empress and watched as his hand twitched.
"It took all the stored energy just to damage it," Yokuza uttered before Sapphire bit his hand. Yokuza glanced at Sapphire before he sighed.
"Honestly, can't you heal people normally?" Prima asked. Sapphire grumbled as she pulled her teeth out of Yokuza's hand.
"Speed over conventions," Sapphire proclaimed. Her siblings rolled their eyes before getting into combative stances when Lola told them the heathen was about to recover from its weakened state.
