《Azure Chronicles》Chapter 143: Chimes of Melodies Part 5

Seas of adoring fans raved and waved their glow sticks in sync with each other. Within a V.I.P. booth overlooking the crowd of fans and with a clear view of the massive stage, Lola lazily rested her chin on the bannister of the booth while Kunai and Kai (both in their small animal forms) played pat-a-cake on Lola's tails. Lola quietly murmured as she watched the moving glow sticks.
"I bet Papa is having an awesome battle right now...," Lola mumbled exhaustedly as she rubbed the inside of her ears.
"Can confirm," Kai said while Kunai made a yipping noise. Lola deflatedly sulked as she pressed her chin against the bannister, her face flattening out as if it were soft snow. Nola glanced over at Minia before sighing at seeing Minia being out cold. Nola levitated off her chair and floated over to Lola.
"What's with the maluble face, little sis?" Nola asked as she gave Lola a gentle head noogie. Lola silently huffed as she glanced upward to look at Nola. Lola silently stared at her sister with a cold stare.
"Do you... think Papa's sick because of me?" Lola asked telepathically. Nola slightly choked on the air in her throat before she lightly coughed.
"Of course not, but what makes you think that?" Nola asked telepathically. Lola lowered her head before pressing it against Nola's chest.
"I dunno... after Papa gave his Kore thing to me... his azurescape got all... messy.". Nola glanced her eyes to the right before she sighed. Nola picked up Lola like a cat before placing her upside down on her head, much to Lola's confusion.
"Unlike Ma and Pa, who don't want to make you feel guilty, I'll be straight with you, sis. On one condition though.". Lola's flattened-out ears perked up as much as they could.

"Yeah?".
"You've gotta remember that despite what I may say, it isn't in any way your fault, got it?".
"But when people say tha-".
"Got it?" Nola said telepathically but slightly more passionately than before. Nola sheepishly nodded.
"Good. Now, although they never said anything to me. I was able to use my God of Fate abilities to figure out that Ma and Pa decided to give you the Keither Kore of Life and Creation because only you'd be able to use it in such a way that Pa couldn't. So it is nothing you should feel guilty about.". A faint sparkle formed in Lola's eyes, but the sparkle quickly faded away as she pouted at Nola.
"You're not just saying that to make me feel better, are you?".
"Would me doing it for that change Ma and Pa's reasoning?" Nola asked rhetorically with a snarky tone. Lola pouted a little more before she turned her body to the side when she tried to turn her head.
"I guess not...," Lola grumbled verbally before Nola opened a D.P. portal below Lola and used it to flip her to an upright position. Lola twiddled her thumbs before quietly thanking Nola for comforting her.

A loud guitar strum rippled through the stadium, catching the attention of everyone in the stadium and making the sea of Kurai's fans wildly cheer. Kurai descended from above, standing atop a big emerald green musical note whilst shredding the strings of her purple battle axe-shaped guitar. A prideful grin formed on Kurai's rock-face paint-covered face before she leapt off her mana music note and onto the stage. Kurai raised a hand to the sky, and the whole crowd went silent, making Kurai smugly giggle.

"I appreciate your silence, it'll make the drop that much more potent. Now, let's ROCK!" Kurai exclaimed. She swung her arm down, striking all the strings of her guitar and unleashing a storm of various-coloured/shaped mana musical notes throughout Malfarothian Stadium, with the stadium's floodlights moving in tune with Kurai's strumming. The crowd erupted into ravenous cheering before Kurai's band members dropped onto the stage and joined Kurai with their various instruments.
"Kurai, Kurai, Kurai~" Kusana and Snow chanted enthusiastically as they twirled their glow sticks along with the sea of fans.
Meanwhile, Yokuza held a metal box in his hand as he exited Hinovien Smithy. Winter Lily stared at the metal box while sitting on Yokuza's left shoulder.
"The magi-tech of Magistrate Calloukus sure is convenient," Winter Lily remarked.
"It sure is~," a smug sketching-figure-sized Sapphire remarked as she stood on Yokuza's head. Yokuza remained still before he rubbed his eyes and lightly groaned.
"How long have you been hiding in my hair?" Yokuza uttered. Sapphire huffed as she sat down and crossed her arms.
"Why are you such a pushover for Lola?" Sapphire murmured as she pouted.
"So, since last night," Yokuza remarked before he held the magi-tech box to his head and sighed.
"Hey, Master," Winter Lily said as she poked Yokuza in the face. Yokuza gave Winter Lily an unamused glance before he followed Winter Lily's pointing finger downwards and spotted Suzie standing at his feet.
(Suzie's the nine-year-old human with short silver hair, light skin, and cyan eyes)
"Um... excuse me... I heard you mention one of the Magistrates?" Suzie uttered shyly as she twiddled her thumbs. Suzie paused her twiddling as she stared at Yokuza. She slowly blinked at him before her eyes lit up, "A-are you related to the magistrates?" Suzie asked, causing Yokuza to flinch.
"... yeah?" Yokuza uttered cautiously, making Suzie giddily hop on the spot.
"Woah... that means I met not only Magistrate Zulcrestus and Calloukus but also all of their children. Can I get your autogra-". Suzie was in the middle of her request when she felt a buzz in her pocket. Suzie took a look at her phone before she quickly put her phone away. Suzie apprehensively tapped her fingers together before looking at her feet.
"What do you need help with?" Yokuza asked as he rubbed the back of his head. Suzie faintly jolted on the spot at Yokuza's knowing her intention to ask for help, but soothed her nerves, given Yokuza seemed willing to help.
"My mom texted me to hurry to our meet-up spot....". Suzie's face turned slightly red as she went silent and held her breath.
"And?" Sapphire said with a snarky tone. Suzie flinched at Sapphire's tone before Yokkuza bonked Sapphire on the head with his wings.
"Um... I kinda forgot how to get there...heh," Suzie stated as she ended her sentence with a nervous giggle. Winter Lily squinted at Suzie before she jumped to her feet and smugly crossed her arms.
"Based on your expression, you're looking for Elarious' Oasis, am I right?" Winter Lily announced. Suzie's eyes lit up as amazed shock became plastered all over her face at Winter Lily's spot-on assessment. As Winter Lily pointed in the direction the group should go, Yokuza mentally sighed in dissatisfaction at the prospect of missing the concert and having to deal with a sulking Lola as a result.
