《Realistic Tower of God: The Martial Way》Chapter 14- An Unbelievable Swordfight

Not expecting the princess to appear in front of him very quickly, the giant instinctively put all of his arms crossed in front of his body to defend his body.
Baaaaaaaam!!
The four-armed giant was sent flying back out of the arena! All of his swords were broken as a deep gash appeared on his abdomen.
Truly… what an enormous strength coming from such a "little" girl. Compared to her enemy, her figure was so small, not even reaching his knees.
Yet, however. Her strength was surprisingly monstrous as even Liu Guanyi didn't expect the battle to be such a one-sided, curb stomp of a strength contest!
'What a crazy strength coming from such a small body! She hasn't even used the body enhancement technique yet. This might be much harder than what I expected.' Liu Guanyi observed the result with surprise.
'However, this is also a great opportunity if could grasp it! What's an obstacle on the Martial Way, didn't I pass them back then? Why I can't pass them now?' He thought as he quickly calmed himself down.
"What a beautiful sword slash! As expected of your highness, a perfect example of how a fisherman does their role!" Borc exclaimed in awe.
"You regulars have watched it clearly, make her highness as your role model as a fisherman!" He quickly added, not forgetting to bootlick the princess.
At this display, many regulars cursed the bootlicker Ranker in their hearts yet, they couldn't refute that the princess was indeed an incredible fisherman.
She was barely starting her climb to the top yet, unlike them, she was already very strong!
How strong she would be when she was an E-ranked regular? Or when she would finally become a Ranker?
With her as a fisherman in their team, they could easily climb the tower without any problems!
However, they knew that it was unlikely for her to join any teams since she was very powerful and they would only burden her. Hence, she would most likely climb the tower alone.
For her, it was a certainty to pass the position test and continue to climb the tower, yet for them, it was a mad contest that was no less bloody than a bloodbath. Even if she failed to pass somehow, that Borclicker would probably cover that, the regulars thought.

However, unlike the other regulars, Liu Guanyi thought about it a little bit differently.
As the duels went on, finally, his turn had come at last.
To get her attention, he had to do things differently, that was why he decided to show off and fight unarmed while keep hanging the sword on his waist until the final round.
'It's showtime!' Liu Guanyi smiled as he walked calmly into the arena.
His enemy was a human using a long spear and he appeared smug with a smirk on his face. Seeing that Liu Guanyi stood against him without drawing his sword, he felt that his pride was undermined.
"Hey, kid! Are you looking down on me? I'll defeat you in a single move!" He shouted as he moved forward and thrust his spear to his face.
Liu Guanyi simply stepped aside and grabbed the spear that missed its mark by an inch and pulled it forward. Caught off guard and not expecting his attack avoided so easily, the spearman was also pulled alongside his spear.
Not wasting any time, Liu Guanyi ran ahead and landed a hook on the spearman's chin. The regular was instantly struck by dizziness as he lost his balance. With that, Liu Guanyi easily grabbed his body, lifted him up, and dropped him on his head!
Crack!
A cracking sound was heard as the regular lay unconscious on the ground with his eyes reddened. Probably an internal damage occurred in his head, not that he cared. As a Martial Practitioner, he had killed many humans and monsters alike.
To him, no matter their bloodline, wealth, and authority, their lives were all equal as they were to nature. All lives were equal in the face of nature, such was the beauty of the Martial Way.
Seeing this, many of the regulars began to see him as a potential threat and took him seriously. The duels quickly progressed and moved on to the second round.
The princess defeated her opponent with a single strike like before and went to the final round. Liu Guanyi with his Martial prowess managed to defeat the regulars in the second and third rounds with ease and also went to the final.
When he finally faced off against the princess, Liu Guanyi could see her face directly. She had a truly beautiful face with a pair of golden reddish piercing eyes that stayed indifferent even when she faced him.

However, he didn't stare to enjoy her beauty but rather to study her movements, even the smallest twitch of her muscles, like what a predator would do their prey as he drew his sword using his left hand and moved forward slowly.
Watching this, her brows scrunched up a little for the first time.
However, for her, it was all the same since it had always been and always would be as she confidently stepped forward and slashed her sword.
Yet when their swords clashed, it was beyond her expectation!
He deflected her sword from the side as he kept its direction even gently pushed it as he turned his feet in such a way that his body twirled 360 degrees and swing his sword to her face using her power!
She quickly reacted and managed to quickly back off, though before she felt a graze on her cheek. When she touched her cheek she felt it… a small scratch as blood flowed out, yet, still a scratch.
Feeling the graze on her cheek, her face turned serious as she looked at the man before her, the one who managed to hurt her. She looked at his face and saw that he had a calm face and a slight smile.
Her shock didn't last long as her aura changed and she moved with much faster speed, attacking with more weight behind her slashes.
'Shinsu Control: Body Enhancement!'
Seeing this development, Liu Guanyi quickly used the technique to contend against her superior speed and power.
Every time their blades clashed and Liu Guanyi deflected her sword, he felt the immense power of her each slash and since it was condensed, it was almost equal to the attacks of the white steel eel!
At this moment, if he made any slight mistake, the power wouldn't be converted and he would receive the damage directly. And with his current state, it could slice him and killed him instantly!
'Sword Style: Turning Swallow!'
He turned defensive as he kept turning and rotating his body beautifully with his footwork while deflecting her sword slashes, trying to find any gap between her attacks. Unfortunately, since she didn't look down on him anymore she hadn't made any slip-ups like the last one.
This development surpassed the regulars' and even Borc's imagination!
They expected a one-sided beat down not a monster that could fight toe to toe for a while against the princess to appear.
The deadlock lasted for a while until his sword durability failed. His sword finally broke apart when it clashed the princess' as Liu Guanyi was thrown back out of the arena.
Liu Guanyi stood up shakily as he coughed some blood. Looking at his arm, only a shallow wound was found as he sighed in relief. It seemed that she had held back in the end.
"You win, Princess." Liu Guanyi stated his loss calmly as he looked at the princess.
"No, your sword was more beautiful. I would have lost if your strength is equal to mine." Said the princess softly as she surprisingly admitted it coolly, not acting as if her pride was undermined at all.
The princess walked as she approached him. She stared at his eyes intently with her piercing golden eyes and offered her hand.
"What's your name?" She asked.
"My name is Liu Guanyi. What's yours?" Liu Guanyi casually answered her with a slight smile as he took and shook her smooth hand gently.
Her beautiful and supple pink lips moved as she spoke softly.

Yea, it's the young Adori Zahard herself, the future Commander in chief of the Zahard Army and the seventh highest ranked High Ranker!
Although in the Wiki it says that had golden hair, the page about her is long not up to date. If you read the manhwa in season 3 chapter 50, we can see that her hair is silver white. Maybe Siu decided to retcon it? Idk, but I trust the more recent episode so I describe her having white hair.
For those who aren't familiar, the timeline is more than 5000 years before Baam arrived.

For those unfamiliar with my writing style, Second Chances was my first attempt at writing. I'm not sure how much I learned in the process, except that readers get angry when you mess with characters they like! Warnings - I tend to info dump. I know I do this, I like slice of life novels that take time to unfold. So don't expect action, murder, and battles in every chapter, it isn't going to happen I prefer the first-person narrative. I will do an occasional POV shift, but it will never be done mid-chapter. I hope you enjoy the story, comments, ratings, and favorites are greatly appreciated!

Is Lucas Destined to Die in the New World?
Lucas imagined himself doing grander things in life; after all, he put in his own blood, sweat, and tears, and got himself a master's degree in English. Maybe he'd be the next best-selling author, or maybe the most popular late night TV show host. However, life didn't give him anything more than a management position at the local burger joint. Day in and day out, he flipped burgers, swept floors, and made weekly schedules that his employees ignored. All he had known for the past five years of his life was pure misery. Then after one night of drunken revelry, he found himself in an unfamiliar world, but he knew all the gimmicks. He knew these stories had quirks he could manipulate- he could put all his stats into magic and become the best wizard in the world, or he could dump all his stats into strength and become a veritable warrior. But once again, just like Earth, this new world seemed to have different plans for him. Instead, he was given a luck stat of 0 and a skill that forced him into danger where there should have been none. Why is this nerdy, magical paradise trying to kill him? Content warnings are there to give me some creative legroom later. There's not an excess of any gruesome content in the story, and what is there is tastefully sprinkled in. This is a LitRPG. Updates are twice a week on Mon/Fri plus some extras here and there.

The Dog with a Chair
As of now, this story is dropped. It was an excellent learning experience, but the quality suffered too much from me trying new things for me to continue in good concience. Thanks to anyone that read it. I'm leaving this story up as a record of my first ever attempt at publishing something I've wrote. To any new writers out there, remember that even if the stuff you write is trash, you can still learn a lot from writing it. - November 17th 2020 Guy gets involved in advocacy for civil engineering projects, then gets pulled into an interdimensional war. Third person with a focus on one main character (Stanley) with the occasional point of view from another character important to story progression. Writing style tends to shift early on as I figure out how to write (this is my first book). Still learning, hoping to improve. Current style choice is to have a focus on character dialogue/actions with interspersed internal monologue in italics. No current end is set for the story, with the primary goal of this project being to learn to express myself in a written format. Storyline is kept as consistent as practical while covering things I find interesting. Governmental systems are mentioned, but not explained in extreme detail. Sci fi elements are used to reinforce and guide plot progression as I'm able. Personal goals belonging to each character are in the process of being developed, with the hope that they will support or oppose each other in interesting ways later on. Hope you enjoy :)

My Roleplay Server
Given the chance to reincarnate in a world with two wishes, who would say no? Especially when you could live a life you've always wanted. This is supposed to be a relaxed story about a man fulfilling the dreams he couldn't in his first life. There will still be drama and more adult things, but overall it will be pretty chill. The action of the story will come in when he finishes making the server. As of right now, 4/6/2022, it's looking like this is going to be a slower-paced novel. Hopefully, in the future, I can get the pacing downright. This is my first released story, so feel free to give me all your constructive criticism. I do plan on finishing this story. Please point out any mistakes you see. This novel is also on Webnovel and Scribble Hub.
