Anime: Diabolik Lovers
(Y/n)'s POV
I walked around the massive mansion, ignoring its malevolent vibes and looming shadows that threatened to devour me at every turn.
This was my life...living with a bunch of sadistic vampires who had tortured me to their hearts' content. I couldn't stand being here. But soon enough, minutes turned into hours and those hours had turned into days. Yes, that's right...I had been living here for a year now.
Despite all the hardships I faced, I wasn't broken, at least not yet. And I had two vampires to thank for keeping me sane. Although my heart was torn into two, these two vampires had saved me whenever I thought I was going to be devoured by the darkness.
I had escaped the clutches of death countless times due to their help and aid. As to why they saved me, I was left with nothing but my own assumptions. They provided no clues and/or hints to answer my unsolved mystery.
"Yo (Y/n), I'm here for my blood. Now come to yours truly," exclaimed the red-haired vampire named Ayato.
"No way, I'm not going to willingly give away my blood."
"Are you defying me? Who was it that saved you all those times before?"
"Well, in case you have forgotten, Subaru was there too."
In the blink of an eye, he had me pinned against the wall, his emerald green eyes shining in the glint of the moonlight. I was enchanted by his enigmatic appearance.
Before I knew it, my heart had started thumping fast in my chest. I could no longer control the swift beating as he sank his fangs into my neck.
I clutched onto his shirt and closed my eyes, trying to push away the pain as the blood left my body. He seemed to notice this and stopped.

But before I got a chance to do anything, his lips met mine. The metallic taste of my blood filled my mouth as he deepened the kiss, indirectly forcing me to kiss back.
I could feel him smirk into the kiss, making the both of us pull away. He was looking down at me with a mischievous glint in his sparkling eyes. A blush creeped onto my cheeks as realisation soon dawned on me.
"Y-you-"
"No complaints, (Y/n). You're mine and only mine. You belong to yours truly now," he said.
"Oi, not so fast."
I was suddenly pulled back before I slammed into the vampire's firm chest. His arms wrapped around my fragile body before we were teleported outside, to the rose garden.
I looked up to see none other than Subaru, who had an irritated expression on his face. The moonlight seemed to make him more frightening but it also revealed the truth that lay within, a loneliness that he had kept hidden from society.
"S-Subaru-"
He bent down and leaned closer to my neck. I gripped his shirt as he sank his fangs into the punctures Ayato made before. I started to feel a little light-headed, and leaned onto his body.
"(Y/n), don't listen to him. You don't belong to him. Y-you're mine," he exclaimed while blushing slightly.
His lips brushed against mine before he was pulled back forcefully by his brother. The two vampires who had stolen my heart had ignited a fire between their delicate relationship, all because of me.
The beating of my heart increased in speed, thumping harder and harder as they both turned their heads to look at me, willing me to make a decision that I had tried to escape from.
Should I choose Ayato or Subaru? Which of the two vampires did I love more? The arrogant yet protective vampire on my left or the frightening yet sweet vampire on my right?

"Guys, I can't do this. I can't choose between you both-"
"Then we'll help with that," exclaimed Reiji, who had appeared along with the others.
"What do you mean?"
I was afraid of the other four that had now gathered in the garden. They had scarred me, both physically and emotionally. I could no longer pretend that I had strength to face off the monsters that stood before me.
"(Y/n)-chan, why don't we go have some fun? Hmm?" Laito asked with a smirk on his face.
"You lay a single finger on her and you're dead," threatened Ayato.
"Oh, I'm sooo scared," Laito replied sarcastically.
"Teddy, why don't we take (Y/n)-chan then?" asked Kanato.
"In your dreams," Subaru said menacingly.
I backed away from the brothers, only to bump into one from behind. His grip on my arms was inhumanly strong and would, no doubt, leave a bruise. I turned my head to come face to face with Shuu.
"Let her go, you good for nothing of a vampire!" Ayato yelled as he aimed a punch for the male's head.
No one's POV
Ayato stopped his punch just before it hit (Y/n)'s face. Shuu had dragged her forward, attempting to use her as a shield to block his attack.
"Give her back!" yelled Ayato.
"Why should I? She doesn't belong to you," Shuu replied.
"Well, she doesn't belong to you either."
Meaning, Subaru was being held by Laito. In regards to strength, Subaru was slightly stronger but he had no chance to use it. Reiji had injected a poisonous mixture into his body, causing him to collapse and scream in pain.
The tableware otaku soon did the same to the red-haired male. The two had fainted from the immeasurable pain, making (Y/n) extremely worried about their wellbeing.
"You monsters! What the hell have they done to you?! Huh?!" she yelled angrily.
"Don't worry, I have an antidote. But of course, I'm not going to give it to them," Reiji replied with an emotionless expression.
"Why-"
"It's a simple fact. You are Eve and we simply cannot have you choosing Ayato or Subaru out of a disgusting emotion like love."
"...what? You mean you're killing because of that?"
"Yeah, why else?" Shuu asked as if the answer was obvious.
(Y/n) struggled to get out of his grasp before laying her eyes on her two vampires. They had regained consciousness. She was now in tears. They had mouthed the words that she had wanted to hear her whole life... 'I love you'.
Those were their last words, their final breath. (Y/n) was so broken that she had no strength left to fight off the brothers that had killed them. She had lost her passion...forever.
