so we meet again
Four days passed since that incident and Jeongguk couldn't just forget anything and was waiting for Taehyung to show up again.
He sighed softly as he walked inside the huge office building, his father pulling him by grabbing his hand tightly, leaving no way to escape― like he did last time. Now he needed to face this.
"No more drama now Jeongguk. You can't run away from something that's yours, son. You need to take these responsibilities." Jeongguk's father tried to make him understand when they entered the elevator, the atmosphere started to get full of tension as Jeongguk looked everywhere except at his father not wanting to have an eye contact.
"I don't want to do all this, dad. I just don't. You can't really force things on me." Jeongguk raised his voice all of a sudden and his father sighed, internally grateful that there was no one other than them in the elevator.
"Son, please. Try to do this. What if you start liking this. I already declared you as the new CEO in that meeting where you didn't just show up and now you need to take this responsibilities, Jeon Publications is in your hands now." His father requested before they both exited the elevator and made their way to the cabin that belonged to the CEO.
"From now on, that chair is yours son. Make me and your mom proud. At least try." He said and made Jeongguk sit on it, "I know you can do it, son."
"We have signed with a writer who is on his way here. His book will be published by our publication house. The deal is already on, just some formalities left. He will hand us the original writing today and you will handle this. Got it?" The former CEO explained, his right hand on Jeongguk's arm squeezing it lightly, "You will do great, son."
Jeongguk closed his eyes, a deep, annoyed breath left his lips when there was a knock on the door and he could see his father's secretary who was now assigned as his secretary peeking his head in and informing them, "Mr. Kim is here. Should I send him in, sir?"

"Yeah yeah! Send him in." Jeongguk's father smiled at him and then took a glance at his son who was massaging his forehead, a dissapointed expression on display, "Cheer up, Gguk, Smiling is the most important thing in deal meetings. So smile widely okay?"
Soon, there was a knock on the door and Jeongguk's father gave the permission as he saw Jeongguk planned on not saying anything to him but what happened next was just a surprise to Jeongguk.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Jeon." The one who had a meeting with them entered greeting and Jeongguk who was sitting on that chair while face palming recognized that deep, velvety voice immediately. He quickly looked up and saw Kim Taehyung entering the cabin with a smile. Jeongguk pinched his cheek softly to know if this was a dream or not and he was surprised to see that it wasn't just a dream. It was real and the one he was running after some days ago was right in front of him.
But to Jeongguk's opinion, Taehyung looked more beautiful than that day.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Jeon." Taehyung greeted, his brows rising when he noticed Jeongguk present there. A small smile formed at the corner of his lips as he walked in and Jeongguk's father was already on the way to shake hands.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Kim. How are you?" Jeongguk's father greeted when he saw that Jeongguk didn't get up, nor did he say anything to their new client and now someone needed to do that. What if he loses this customer just because of his son's misbehavior but little did he know that the matter was something else.
"I am fine. What about you?" Jeongguk's father gestured Taehyung to take a seat and when he settled in, he answered, "I am great." Well to be honest, he wasn't okay cause the amount of stress Jeongguk was giving him was just too much. How can he be okay?
"So, this is my son, Jeon Jeongguk. He is the new CEO and from on, he will be taking care of you and the whole company." Jeongguk's father introduced, "And Jeongguk, this is Kim Taehyung...."
"..... The famous writer." Jeongguk cut his father off by interrupting and his father was quite amused to see how he knew the other cause Jeongguk was never interested in reading books, he was always about movies and series. But he didn't know that Jeongguk didn't need any introduction on Taehyung. After all, his hours or searching about Kim Taehyung after that incident was enough to give him a nice idea.

"Oh, I never knew you were into books and all...." The oldest of all laughed as he pointed out the fact and Jeongguk just rolled his eyes at him, "How will you know? You were always busy with work, dad."
Jeongguk's father just knew that if he stays here he will get humiliated by his own son so it's safe to walk out of the scene but the fact that he isn't able to trust Jeongguk with this business matters just kept him there but he can't keep standing there.
"Goodbye then, Mr. Kim. Jeongguk will take care of you and our deal from now." He extended his hand for a shake and Taehyung who was just a silent spectator smiled and gladly took it.
"And work hard son." Jeongguk's father wished and Jeongguk just stayed quiet, a small nod was all that he could manage at the moment.
Once Jeongguk saw his father getting out of the cabin, he excitedly pulled himself to his feet and walked to the opposite side. He took the chair beside Taehyung's and settled down. The wide grin on his face was just so cute that Taehyung couldn't take his eyes off.
"So, we meet again, Taehyung." Jeongguk smiled, extending his hand for a shake and Taehyung smiled before taking it, "Yep, we meet again. Mr. Jeon. Aren't you like too young to take all these responsibilities?"
"Uhh, you understood it but my parents don't. And by the way, it's Jeongguk for you." Jeongguk cheekily held the other's hand tightly when Taehyung just wanted a handshake but he was surprised that he didn't actually mind and pulled it out of the other's hold.
"No handshake in the world lasts this long, Jeongguk." Taehyung said with a small smile, not even trying to pull his hand out cause the warmth of Jeongguk's hand was just so nice that was comforting his cold one.
"I don't want to let go. I just want to hold your hand forever." Jeongguk said and Taehyung felt his blood rush to his cheeks. But to Jeongguk's dismay, the older just pulled his hand away before it could get awkward.
"Don't say things like that Jeongguk. They are impossible and how much do you know me, hmm?" Taehyung lowered his eyes and said that was supposed to be rude so that Jeongguk starts to think him as one and stops talking like this but the other just smiled, "No worries, we can know each other better and you will know, I am the one for you."
"Let's talk about work." Taehyung suggested and Jeongguk frowned.
"I would rather like to know about you, Taehyung."
"Do what your father said. Focus on the work." Taehyung said in an annoying tone but nothing seems to work as he saw Jeongguk again plaster a smile on his face.
"For the first time ever, I want to do what my father told me to." Jeongguk said and Taehyung was glad that now all these talks that was making his heart flutter will come to an end, "Good. You should have focused on our deal without wasting both of our time."
"I wasn't talking about the 'work hard, son' part Taehyungie." Jeongguk pointed out, "I was actually talking about the other part."
"And what is that?" Taehyung asked after a long sigh. The writer rested his hand on his fist when his elbow was on the table in front of him, the coldness of the glass sending shivers down his spine but he didn't bother.
"That I will take care of you from now."
