《Princess Of The Underworld》26| The Coronation

"Your Highness," Lumiere greeted Ben, winking at me as he opened up the carriage door.
The Prince sent his life-long friend a charming smile, stepping out of the carriage and offering me his hand.
I nervously took it, hoping Ben wouldn't notice my sweaty hands as he led me over to his parents.
"Mom, dad." Ben greeted and they smiled at him.
I took a breath in, I felt like I should apologize, "I am so sorry about yesterday at Family Day, we-"
Adam shook his head, looking at his son, "I told Ben this wasn't going to be easy."
Ben looked up at him, "You also told me to believe in myself."
The former beast's eyes widened, "I did?" Belle nodded at her husband, "I did. And it is true."
"You just keep listening to your heart sweetie." Belle told her son, patting his arm lightly.
The queen then turned to me, a smile on her lips, "I believe Ben made the right choice." I smiled at her, leaning into the warm hand she had carefully placed on my cheek.
The couple smiled, nodding at the two of us, before Adam offered his wife his arm, and the two walked inside the hall.
Ben then turned to me, a nervous smile on his lips, "Wish me luck."
Without thinking I leaned over, placing a kiss on his cheek, "Good luck." I told him through my blush.
Someone cleared their throat behind me, and I turned to see Lumiere offering his arm out to me.
"Thank you." I addressed the man, tucking my arm through his own. I gave Ben one last smile, and for maybe the last time, he returned it, before Lumiere led me away as the doors opened.

I was then led to a seat in the very front, only a few feet away from the covered glass jar that held the reason I was here.
Trumpets sounded and I looked away from the jar to see Ben making his way down the aisle, everyone bowing as he passed them.
I bent down in a bow, sending him a shaky smile as he passed, him sending me a wink in return.
We all stood as Ben reached the steps, kneeling down as Fairy Godmother placed the crown on his head. My eyes followed the staff member who lifted the cloth, then the jar, leaving the wand exposed.
The Headmistress then took her wand in her hands, turning to Ben, "Do you Prince Benjamin of Auradon solemnly swear to govern your people to the best of your capabilities?"
Ben nodded, "I solemnly swear."
I glanced up at my friends in the balcony, all sending my nervous looks as the Fairy Godmother tapped the wand on each of Ben's shoulders. I shifted from left to right foot, taking a step closer.
"Then I now name you, King Of Aura-" Just as Fairy Godmother went to tap Ben on the head, and I moved to take another step, someone's hand reached out and grabbed the wand.
The chaos flew it at it's highest force.
